The schools kept trying to teach their lessons, but everyone kept staring out the window to see if one of the convicts was outside. It was a crazy day for my small town.

One more from Brazil: there was an inmate waiting trial in a police precinct . People can wait trial for years before being sentenced to less years than they already served. Life is usually better in some precincts than others. This one was near my house and it was actually nice (I think). The prisioner worked on cleaning duty. Every day working is one day less serving time, when the condemnation finally arrives. However, he decided to escape and mixed some cleaning chemicals (bleach and amonia, I think), exploding the precinct wall at 4 AM. He just had to run a few feet to gain the streets, and so he ran.
He ran 6 feet and collapsed to the ground, poisoned by the chrorine gas he had released. He survived, but was then transfered to an actual prison.
The dumbest way to try to escape is to actually climb the fence

A prisoner tried to escape the facility my dad works at and after getting over the electric fence, he saw the 17 extra fences cover top to bottom in a shifting razor wire. He didn’t even try to climb the first razor fence and just let himself get arrested

Oh you revived that story prison break! I watched the prison break 4 times and today I'm going to make it the fifth time! Alas my wife don't like to see such things when I had a gf years ago she enjoyed watching prison break! Even today I envy those sweet days I should think that even she is not a teen girl now and probably she herself is like other women and I love my wife i don't want my ex return to me ! My main problem is missing those days I know time doesn't go back. You dear teenagers be grateful for the security and calm life you have in the US .I'm from middle east I strongly advise you not to vote Joe Biden if so nobody takes USA seriously and in the future definitely remorse will be your best friend! I know its none of my business but I say my opinion about the future of usa ìn the hands of Chinese or in the hands of real owners and lovers of your great beloved country

Me who lives less than 20 mins from the Hamilton county jail surprises me that that happened.
My father is as a construction worker, one day he worked at a jail fixing the roof that the inmates had broken,some other criminals said stuff like, give your tools but my father was smarter and gave no tools
Brisbane Goal was located very close the centre of the city, which could have been a huge advantage to a thinking escapee. In 1989, 8 Prisoners broke out in what was called the "Boggo Road Fun Run". One guy was too fat and got caught between the closing gates and was easily recaptured. The other 7 split up but were quickly rounded up - one of them in the pub at the bottom of the hill and 4 of them, 4! waiting at local bus stops.

We had one guy in the prison I worked at who did manage to fake realise papers and got to our first turn key and only got stopped by a lack of paperwork on our side.

How about the Australian prisoner who dressed as a kangaroo , he got out of the prison but was shot by guards who wanted kangaroo for dinner or one not too long ago 3 prisoners dug a hole out of their cell but one was on the chubby side and couldn't get through the hole .

I fellow I knew in Dayton Ohio walked out of Montgomery county Jail by "staying in the mix" of people leaving. He had a large theft charge and was facing 5 years, They let him out and he ended up in Florida that night (the bus station was downtown at that time) a week later he was in England with some family. He never came back to the states.
Surely the U.S would try and extradite him? Unless the paperwork was not worth bothering with I guess.
