Did we record several new French songs last month?...Enough to make an entire album??...I mean, I don't want to get your hopes up or anything.
Would love to hear your twist on, À Paris - Ishtar. Or an Indila song! Thanks for all the French tunes! Love them!
But they're upppp
Love it! My 11yr old daughter is in French immersion so I'll be sharing with her.
Love when you record French songs. I will buy this album.
Wonderful - I did say you should cover Francoise Hardy! : )
Ordinary comments apart from replies to your pinned thread don't seem to be showing for some reason today...
Edit - I can now see 4 more inc mine! 2nd edit - seems to be worknog normally now!
Françoise Hardy passed away today (June 11th, 2024). She was 80.
Thank you for keeping her songs alive.
Thank you. (June 11, 2024)
Françoise passed away yesterday at the age of 80.
Your song is a beautiful tribute and a relevant message today.... 😞
I am french and i am surprised with her accent and voice, she speaks like a native !
I thought that she IS french, and just happens to speak perfect English.
She is
Dawn spent much of her childhood in Europe, where she attended schools in France and Belgium before returning to the United States to study art and French literature at Stanford University.
@@viesturssilins858 Ceci explique cela...
RIP Francoise Hardy.Thank you for the music.
Natalie really nails that French 60's short-hair-style look and I love the bands matching Bandanas :D
Due to budget cuts, the same bandana was featured in every shot where necessary.
Awwww thanks for that.
@@Pomplamoose Nataly, your style is as gorgeous as your singing!😸 (sorry for the🧀)
I believe she is in fact a french girl undercover :D I mean she speak perfectly :D avec accent et tout ca :D
@@calinux If I recall correctly she used to live in France 🇫🇷
It takes superb mastery of the French language to sing this clever humorous song so flawlessly.
Merci beaucoup.
This just oozes 1960s Paris. I just can’t stop listening to this track. I remember Françoise Hardy’s version from my childhood . Encore!
I still keep coming back to this. Love it!
Hardy-Gainsbourg did get some US/UK exposure. I remember it from the US radio as a kid.
Paix à ton âme. R.I.P Françoise Hardy.😭
I strongly suspect we will never see Pomplamoose perform Fatal Bazooka's "Fous Ta Cagoule".
While this might be a good thing, part of me wonders what they'd do to it.
Pahahaha such a genius idea
YES
😂
😂
I'm torn.... Should I spend the next several hours creating fake accounts in order to like your comment a thousand times?
Comment te dire adieu is a music that, until now, has being by my side during my whole life. I'm watching and listening Pomplamoose for ten years, every music video is special, but this one will be with me forever. Thank you.
What a great idea. A style icon of the 60s - for very obvious reasons. A renowned french composer and musician.
I am from Québec and thought that she was French!! She fooled me for sure! Love her takes on these classic French songs that used to play here when I was a child in the 60's!!
Surprisingly, this song in this performance makes me happy, I watch the video over and over again. It was only when I was young that I could play the same song on the turntable many times. Here is an incredible combination of fine music, intonation, and grace
I really LOVE it when you sing French repertoire!!! Your aesthetics and that music, and your voice, it’s just perfect. ❤️
Fantastic cover. This is exactly the type of songs that fits perfectly with your voice.
I listened to this song when I was little and it took me a long time to hear it again, and now I'm 56 years old. Thanks a lot.
I just got my LP a few weeks ago, and it hasn't left the platter! Such great sound and interpretations. Love you guys!
Love Françoise Hardy and Pomplamoose, perfect combination. Beautiful version, thank you!
I love the way she sings these French songs.........
J'adore Nataly! Merci
A beautiful song, a beautiful singer, a beautiful studio and talented musicians... what else could one ask for?
Françoise Hardy left today
I listen to your beautiful cover of her song!
How to say goodbye!!
Thank you
This is one of my favourite french songs. Very well done. Thank you
French language and Nataly were made for each other. Wonderful cover. Best wishes from Russia :)
She was brought up in France and Belgium which is why her accent is so good!
French people... how are they all so beautiful? I went to Paris once and I almost died. Every single human being... gorgeous! And in so many ways!
This is wonderful. I love it. Bring back great memories
A special tribute to one of Serge Gainsbourg's and Françoise Hardy masterpieces. Great job Pomplamoose ! One more please ;-))
Simply perfect!
This voice and band is sooooooo wonderful
LOVE IT!
Love Nataly so much...so incredibly talented and equally beautiful
I love these melodies. Wonderful!
Aaaah, thank you. First thing in the morning, I switched on the computer, checked UA-cam, and here we are, another wonderful song from Pomplamoose to bring a smile to my face :-)
Great singing, as always. And outstanding musicians, as always. Thank you.
This track is just so awesome, retro and yet so fresh and cool! very well produced and great singing! I am really overwhelmed and i totally love her shown attitude! great!!!
Been watching for years. This has to be one of my favorites! You all are so professional!
This what the World needs more of; great music, great singing and lovely, talented people. Extraordinary rendition of a Françoise Hardy song. Natalie give a touch of freshness to this classic, in opposite to the image of sophisticated, mysterious and distant woman that Hardy intended on her performances (Anyway FH it's a song goddess). Shocked too for native french accent on an American, what makes the video much more than a cover. Very best regards from Spain.
Goosebumps!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Magnifique!
I love watching Natalie's hand actions in this song and the back up singer is so lovely.
Bravo quel accent ! 😃 j’adore
Keep em coming! Fantastic! Perfect voice, perfect singers and musicians.Bravo!
Yes. When the second voice came in, i decided: this is my favorite version ever. Beautiful.
Just listened here in Ireland to your version of Francois and we are very impressed, well done
Listening to this amazing song for decades but I have to say this is cover is AMAZING 😍
wow, so much power, spirit, skills -- thank you!
Holy cow. The best cover of this song ever. One of my favorite songs, now even more so with this version.
If I had one wish, I would use it to wish for a Pomplamoose cover of “Love Me, Please Love Me”, by Michel Polnareff. One of the best French songs of all time
You've done it!! I thought this day would come. Merci beacoup.
I love your covers/songs! I feel like I'm in a place without burdens, and they really help with my French learning journey a lot!
i love it when pomplamoose covers french songs, maybe because I can rediscover songs i used to hear for years. I only imagine a cover of "Le vieux Léon" by Georges Brassens, that would be gold.
Cheers from france people,
Wish you all the best
Each of your revisited songs is never a disapointment. Continuez comme ça !
Beautiful. what a singer!
So sad that Francoise Hardy has passed away at the age of 80 after a long battle with cancer - your cover of How Do I Say Goodbye was a worthy tribute to a great French icon from the 60s. RIP Francoise x
So happy to hear all these old beautiful French songs being given a new life in a beautiful way. Can't wait for your next album!
I LOVED this version so much!! I love how you are always faithful to the original, and at the same time add your own wonderful flair and expression!
PLEASE do François Hardy's "L'temps d'amour" it is such a wonderful, fun piece, and I really think it would suit this new French style you've been doing.
Keep up with the French!
One of my favorite French songs you are a fantastic singer of songs
This is great. I totally dig it!! I love your French songs.
This song like almost all your creations make me "cry" in the good sense :D You are such a lovely band and I wait for you guys in Europe :)
Perfect pick this song for you, Nataly ! And one of my favoutites from Françoise Hardy.
More French! Loving it! Seriously, from Piaf to Brassens to this, I like it even more than your English work. Thanks for this!
Wonderful to see Françoise Hardy tunes!!! I was expecting this a long time ago to be honest. Hardy is unique and you guys really emulate some of that uniqueness!!! Great work! :)
Merci!!! Votre voix est superbe !!! L’arrangement musical est top !!!
Omg!! Yes! I suggested this on your guys Facebook!! Thank you!

I'm also becoming a big fan of you guys. You are so talented and natural in every way, it's really refreshing. Keep it going! ;-)
I love this version. Your arrangement is perfect for this song. I always thought the original is missing something until I hear the Johnny Sommerville version. Now this. Thank you for recreate this great song.
Its Jimmy Somerville

nad Great one. Would vote for “Ex-fan des sixties” though :)
