Leatherman Charge TTI and Leatherman Wave are no different instruments. TTI is a little easier to disassemble and assemble. Free P4 is a Wingman in a different frame and pliers, as in TTi. Therefore, there is nothing to compare. Leatherman Charge TTI and Leatherman Wave are the best multitools in the world. Reliable and easy to use and maintain as the Russian AK 47. Free P4 is an expensive pliers with a set of tools from Wingman. Professional marketing move ! But no more. With respect to "2 Hammers Media" and the Leatherman product community! All health and well-being!

Dream model would be a surge/charge TTi hyprid, perhaps with more "upgraded" materials. Leatherman could be a tad more bold with the titanium, or upgraded material to make the core stronger and maybe lighter. The surge is a beast, but i prefer a tad lighter model. So went for charge TTi, for minor reasons. Think feel its a tad overpriced. It does have a nice feel and look to it. :P

I have the Surge and Charge tti… gives heavy duty when I need it and a slick every day carry when I don’t need it

Both great tools for sure. Yeah I love the charge and curl, and use surge for heavier jobs.

Charge TTi n Wave is quite similar. The titanium scale which that make the different though 😎😁

With the magnets, I bet alot of dust and grit is very attracted to it.

I don't have any of the three, I have the rev and the wingman and I'm going to buy the charge plus tti.
    Thanks for the review!

Try accessing the other Leatherman tools with one hand wearing a glove. I can with my P4

Hi, Matt. I was interested in what you have to say, but, with respect, let me point out a habit you have that really starts to grate.
You say "um" and "ahh" sometimes every second or third word. You did it a total of 141 times! It makes your presentation hesitant, and makes you sound very uncertain of what you are saying.

Great comparison. Does the TTI accept the Ratchet Driver?

Thank you. Yes tti accepts the ratchet driver, I use that combination a lot.

For light everyday tasks, the free P4 because of the ease of accessibility of the outside tools. But if you work in construction or would heavily use it, then the wave or charge tti. I have worn out several of the tools on the free p4 as the steel does not seem to be as durable as the wave or the tti. Now between the wave and the tti, if you have the cash to spare go with the tti because of the improved main blade and also the grip is more comfortable on the tti than on the more sharp edges of the wave.
