    10,000% best showcase of the Leatherman tti charge+ if you've seen this video you don't need to see another (unless you wanna compare this to the wave+ or surge)

    The key holder is already on the tool, is on the other side, is hidden. The opposite handle of the clip, look there you need to pull it up, is attached to the tool. It is on mine, so it should be on yours. It's on the side of the scissors, on the outer part, there is a little notch, pull it up! So, you don't need to remove the clip.

    Great job actually showing how some of these tools are used - that is something that is almost never done in reviews and it is very helpful to see them in action. By the way, I think LM changed the look of these - I saw a review where older ones actually were similar looking to the pictures on their web site (darker contrast and polished silver). I just ordered one of these, so it will be interesting to see how it looks on the scales.

    Missing an AWL.. Hm. Would also be nice to have a Magnifying Glass and/or Mirror.

    This tool is for the knife nerds. They are the only who cares about scales and blade material.

    Mines been on my side since 2016 every day. Love it still! Buying an arc tomorrow and hope I don’t regret it. More reviewers should follow your lead with the thoroughness and demonstrating.

      @@EverythingPractical I think it's okay that you didn't mention the crimper on the pliers because Leatherman stopped putting that on the Charge+ fairly recently. I just ordered mine last month and it doesn't have the crimping section on the pliers at all. They don't even advertise it anymore on their website for the Charge+ TTi.
      Also, this is probably the best video I've seen that showcases the TTi's functions - well done!

      @Charles D. Oh, I was wondering why mine didn't have it. Any idea why they got rid of the crimping tool?

    • @drewlop
      @drewlop Рік тому

      @@homealone5087 my understanding is the crimping section made the plier head weaker, i.e. more likely to snap

    When I got mine I actually thought that I had been sold the old version because it didn't look like the sales photo's and it didn't say 'plus' anywhere on it, like they did with the Wave. Love it though. Great bit of kit and well worth it

    How’s the steel in the Charge +, which I think is rated between S30V and 420HC. Comments?

    • @EverythingPractical
      @EverythingPractical  Рік тому

      The steel in the Charge + is still very good, but does not any S30V, like the TTi. The knife on the Charge+ is 154CM and the serrated knife is 420HC. The rest is 440C stainless steel.

    The basic Charge is over $350 in australia and the tti is over $430! The Wave plus is $200.. to me they’re all overpriced but since I need a new tool I’ll be buying another Wave… thanks for the review.

      It is a lot. $300 here in Canada (for tti). It's very nice though. I'd say well worth $200

      Is that through their online own web shop?
      Because in the Netherlands, it's around 300 euro in regular shops but only 240 on Leatherman's web shop. This is including tax and shipping cost.

    Just a heads up, it's "serrated" and pronounced "səˈrādəd" not "charaded" like playing charades.
