Esperanza should have a fly mask on. Her light eyes do need to be protected from the sun too.
Preferably one with the highest levels of UV protection. Also she is at risk for sunburn with her pink skin. A UV blocking sheet would be great and also block flies
When he first brought the white horse home, he said he would put on a fly face cover because of the blue eyes. He still hasn't put one on him yet.
@gailmcelrath7493 Luna has had one on. In the last video, she didn't. Not sure why not. I know he commented that he needed to put one back on her.
I never understand why so many people who own horses let their hooves get in such bad condition. When I got my first horses when I was 12, one of the first thing my grandpa started teaching me how to trim their hooves. Hood care is part of owning a horse. If you can’t do it yourself, the you need to hire a farrier. It is not really an option. If you can’t afford a farrier, you can’t afford a horse. It makes me so sad to see so many horses with bad hooves.
A lot of his horses come from the Navajo reservation. They are poor so it trickles down . The Navajo believe that their wealth is determined be the number of horses they own. Unfortunately they don't factor healthy well cared for horses as part of that equation!
Driving between Tubs City and Baby Rocks, AZ you can see many starving horses along the highway. Sometimes a dead one. The tribal people won't allow anyone to rescue them.
Sometimes it's just the person and sometimes the horse is just hard to trim.

I met a little girl named Esperanza and her parents called her Espie-love both the full name & the nickname.
She landed in a good place. Kind and compassionate.

I'm new, thank you for rescuing these beautiful horses! I watch Fletcher Farm as they rescue Belgian horses they are so big, when they shod them they are very big indeed.
My father was a farrier in his spare time, i helped as much as possible, gophering for things. I have seen some doozies. Hambre' is already a miracle. Espenanza is an elegant name for her. I always liked Loverboy & Rawhide both look great. When Blake gets home there will be a fantastic reunion with Rawhide. Thank you again Palmer family for all you do for your community and your great farm & animals.

Use Goo Gone on the tail sticker. It doesn't hurt the horse and it takes sticky stuff off really nicely.

If that white horse has a good temperament, she would make a lovely driving horse. I can see her pulling a fancy wedding carriage. My appaloosa prefered being driven over being ridden. She, too, was starving - being sold as the other horses at that farm would not let her eat. She had a few vet problems, but grew from a yearling to a beautiful horse friend. I had her for 28 years. She was such a fine horse. Rest in peace Dottie. Miss her so. k

If Esperanza's/Hope's feet can be corrected and she becomes rideable, how much would you sell her for? I've always wanted a Cremello and want to get my grand daughter riding in the next year or two. If you could check around her eyes and under her tail for signs of Cancer that would help her greatly. She needs lightly covered to protect her from the sun and developing cancer. I love that you cared enough to buy these two horses. Please keep being an auction angel!

The Spanish word for fog or mist (also for tears) is niebla. As much as these poor babies have gone through, I have nearly been in tears looking at them.

He may have some Morgan in him too . Your rescue horse obviously has been neglected .. but with your patients and dedication and of course love . Treats for positive behavior he'll be just fine in time.. pretty baby... You know auction horses are usually cast offs.. but can luck out sometimes. Good job. And if you move him along the right loving and knowledge knowing how to handle this horse.. he will shine thru eventually.!! 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
My daughter was working with feet on a problem horse. She put one piece (about 2" long) of duct tape on his nose, in the middle, just above his nostrils. It was remarkable. Wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it for myself.

You or your wife need to stand at head of new white mare & hold her still & comfort & pet her while farrier works on her feet. Shes nervous & it would help out your farrier friend & be less time consuming. Also a good name for her is Pearle (based on white color)or Luna, like the moon. Ty for rescuing them, but they're scared...
It will take time, but with regular hoof care, you may be able to correct the growth of her hooves. At least she will be able to walk better. 💖💖💖

@@TheFarmonRoute66have you put a stick on her to measure her? What’s an estimate on her age? Was she ridden at the sale? I kinda hope not being so thin and with those feet in bad shape. I think a UV sheet and fly mask would help if you are going to have her out in the day. Pink skin and light eyes are sensitive

You can use peanut butter to help remove that tag. That is what I used to remove pb from daughter hair when she was a. youngster. Good luck

A hair clipper is what I would use for the sticker removal. Just gently work the clipper up under the sticker to keep from removing to much tail hair.

She's so pale and pink she might need some sun block on the top of her noise. She's looking great. Beautiful horse. You shouldn't have any problem adopting her out when she's up to par. ❤😊

You are correct. Solid white horses with the light eyes sunburn very easily and also an have problems with their eyes with bright light.
Lemon Essential oil will peel that sticky right off the auction tag number.

If you put a blow dryer on the auction sticker it will loosen up the glue, should come right off. After that I’d try Goo Be Gone to remove the residue.

Any cooking oil, peanut butter will get the sticky out of the hair.

Hooves in bad shape take at least one year to correct and then every 2.5-3 months thereafter for the second year.
Get some Goo Gone to get the glue off.

To remove the sticker, wet a rag with alcohol, rub the sticky side as you slowly pull it back on itself. The slow part makes it hard if she is fidgety.

I can't stand people that let the horses get in such bad shape . Here they would be prosecuted it's so sad
