Took your advice and installed the Vortex with the Yoshi exhaust and removed the snorkel over the air box. You are 100% correct. What a difference. She rips now!!!
I just bought a Honda CRF 450 RL I already put a new pipe on it low mirrors under the bars ECU gold o-ring chain raised up the rear license plate right under the fender Supercross tires had the suspension done front and the rear but this bike is got the most s t i f f e s t suspension I have ever had in my life on any bike it is still like a covered wagon still after I have had all that suspension work done for $1,000 don't ever ever ever take this thing off road and it's made for that it is equal to riding a Schwinn bicycle in the dirt with absolutely no suspension no complaints on the street but I got rid of my Honda CR500'92 to take its place this bike could never take its place I had that bored ported polish carburetor work FMF pipe front and rear suspension done by the same guy and that suspension was absolutely out of this world!
Great video! I noticed Jamie didn't want to speak rear wheel power numbers despite showing the dyno chart. Looks like its still under 50 rear wheel horsepower based on the graphs with the stage one kit. Pretty solid! Still going to be short of a ktm 500 based on the weight of both bikes. Looking forward to see how stage 2 turns out.
@@robertlambert7906 Not sure what country your in as power numbers stock may vary, but here in USA a modified KTM 500exc-f can push up to 70rwhp depending how far you want to go. Also I saw your page is blank!

An uncorked bike with a jd tuner, uses oem timing specs, while it may yeild similar horse number up top, usually there's more torque with the Vortex through out the range with a power 1 map. Stock ecus' may also have quirks a fuel tuner cant over come.
Please could anybody tell me the best way to lower my stock crf450L i have used all adjustment on my stock spring and still really need to lose 2 inches! All suggestions grateful as I’m a novice! Many thanks
Dirt Bike TV many thanks zeta do a link for 450l but says in is-25mm (inch) but I’m not sure what that does to the seat height and can’t tell me Many thanks for your reply
So I have a full Yoshi exhaust, and a power commander 5. I’m torn on if I should sell my PC5 and spend $500+ for the vortex or simply have my bike dyno’d with a custom tune for my PC5? Can I get close with the power commander to the vortex numbers?
@@dirtbiketv1 except the street legality, tail light, signal lights, head light is there other differences between 450 L and 450 X? like frame, fork or wheels?

"Swap out a 17 pound muffler for a lighter one save a "TONNE" of weight" To much work to look up and show us the weight differences? or weigh them both on a set of scales, "Stage One upgrade, exhaust and ECU right there with a 500EXC" yeah a 450cc with an exhaust and ECU gaining that much horse power to put it right next to a bike 50cc's larger bike, and more gum flapping and no riding examples of "Rip like it should"
NOT Spend a ton of money ?? Well off the ripp it's a 10k bike thats CHOKED UP. Now your 300 to 500 for a pipe 200 ecu, double that if you dont know how to instal it yourself. Id rather go spend 12k on a badass 2002 T Top built Camaro SS and have 5k left over for a nice used GSXR 750 smh, 13k on a dual sport CHOKED UP.
I removed the metal screen from the air filter cage on my 450L and put on an aftermarket filter. It made a huge difference in the way it picks up.🏁👍🏽

Awesome-- Who mapped your Vortex ?
Aww man... hoping to see some track and trail ripping action. Thanks for the info JC.
Can we see the dyno-chart with just pipe change
and air filter intake-flow/snorkel removal..
Love your work jay keep it up safe riding god bless
I can vouch for the vortex and full fmf exhaust. My 450L rips now
Did you use the megabomb header with it?
An alternative to the mega bomb? Simply buy a 450X header. About half the cost. Plus it accepts a heat shield much easier.
I've made these mods on my crf450l....a different bike now. Better in every way.
lol Gold.
Basically an LX now 👌🏾💪🏾❤️
"You're gonna gain a ton of weight saving 🤣
Yeah, technically a ton is 2000 lbs.

buy exhaust, but vortex, take plastic part out, “we developed”?
Probably too lean from factory like my XR 400 big difference adding pipe and jetting on XR 400

I want to know if you lose any guage function with that vortex ecu? I was told the fuel consumption is gone is that true?
Vortex is a racing ecu. I doubt it has a fuel consumption mode.
Is remapping the ECU necessary if just removing the air intake plate with new pipe?
to make it good yes and you cant remap the Stock ECU
Man wish we could get a update video on the stage 2 cam kit on these bikes can’t find it anywhere really wish they would give some numbers out

L is street legal
