  • 💥RACE FINISH💥
Team Aim For The Ocean 🇫🇷
Today on Tuesday 13th February at 15:35 local time, Frenchman Dominique Meynadier, crossed the finish line of the World’s Toughest Row in a time of 62 days, 10 hours and 10 minutes arriving as this years 30th boat. Family and friends came to the dockyard early in the day as Dominique was flying in towards Antigua, doing close to 3kts of average speed at some points! As seen many times before, the conditions change when getting closer to the island. The waiting time however, only served to boost the energy on land! As the excitement built, a mix of relief and pure happiness filled the arrival area as Aim for the Ocean was spotted at the entrance to English Harbour😊
Strong emotional scenes erupted at the dockyard as Dominique stepped on land - a lot of kilos were lost during his crossing, but the cuisine of Antigua will quickly start to remedy that. We are also sure some fine dining awaits Dominique when he is back on French soil🇫🇷
Dominique has taken on many challenges in his lifetime, however when asked what he thought about the World’s Toughest Row, his response was: ‘’I have done many extreme events, but the ocean is a whole different dimension!’’ This proved to be true as seen in the images taken by the support yacht, as well as today on his approach to land. Dominique experienced some of the roughest conditions the race has seen this year!
