Swarm season is almost here again! I’ll hopefully have more catches to record this year. It amazes me how they decide whether to stay or go. Thanks for your support.
Must be brother. I have caught 2 small ones but three I had to put straight in 8 frames and one that’s a 8 frame DD. I lost 4 that flew before I could get back that were 8 framers. May you be blessed and prosper brother.

Wow, thats a big one. The honey bandit just keeps them from flying back to the limb. Makes things go a bit faster. I wouldnt spray it on there until you shake all the bees off.

In the past I have taken out the frames and shook the bees into the box. Then I have gently put the frames in the top and bees move to the frames and the frames slide down slowly. That was a big swarm!

I have had a chance to look through them. It’s been a week since I’ve put the in the box. They are doing well. I had to go back the next day and add another box. This swarm cover 14 frames heavily. I’m going in tomorrow and check on them. Thanks for watching.

Almond extract will keep them from going back. It covers the pheromone at their previous location
