- This arrangement was actually created by my subconscious while sitting in my jazz arranging course at UWEC last semester. I had a tune stuck in my head that sounded so familiar to me but for 15 minutes I couldn't place it. I finally figured out that this up tempo swing style song I was hearing was actually the slow ballad "Misty" by Erroll Garner. That gave me instant motivation to see this arrangement to fruition. For extra fun I wrote it in a SATB trombone arrangement and a few borrowed instruments later led to this video! Please enjoy my original arrangement on "Misty".
Glides are the best part about trombone so I did appreciate this indeed
You are correct, sir. Thanks for the comment, I’m glad you enjoyed it Garrett!
Pleased to have another example of a soprano trombone being used as a real instrument.
We need a sax quartet of this.
GREAT AS ALWAYS!
I need more like this!!
That was amazing!!! I particularly enjoyed 1:09-1:19, and the whole thing was really, really well done. Awesome
Boss! Nice job!
Thanks, Cade!

NO BC I THOUGHT THE EXACT SAME THING😭😭
Bravo
Why soprano trombone notated like trumpet instead of classical notation? (M2 down)
Idk! I felt like I was playing a trumpet, the music made sense to read in my head, it put the notes on the staff nicely, but most importantly, it made every instrument read a different clef which was mostly just to flex haha.
Nice moment of metric modulation there
Thank you! I was very excited when it actually sounded good outside of my head as well!
A bit too fast.
Also... this arrangement completely missed the mark.
Yes, and it misses the feel as well.
