As someone that does a lot of research for local business websites and ranking I can tell you with CERTAINTY this strategy works super good for organic search results.Yes, unique content is most likely the better way to go, but even if the content is about the same for each city page - they will still rank as mentioned here. Hi Tajinder. Thanks very much for your comment. As you rightly noticed I have used the same images on all the pages and it didn't stop the pages from ranking. It's not uncommon for websites to use the same images on multiple pages. As mentioned in the video I would always encourage business owners to use unique content for each page (including images) but I just wanted to test whether or not the pages would rank regardless, and they do.
Hi Luc, and thanks for another great video. I'm Like # 275, and am a subscriber. London is a great example of a big city with lots of potential coverage areas. From your professional experience, do you feel there is a limit or max for service pages? For example, in the Houston area, I could easily list 30-40 additional service areas. Each would be highly appropriate, however prior to investing any time in publishing new pages, and presuming it doesn't slow down my home page loading time, does google begin to think a certain number can become too much or dare I say S p a m m y? Hi Delfino. As explained in the video I would always suggest you try creating pages with unique content on them first. This will prevent any of your pages from being filtered out in search results as it may happen. There is no limit to the number of pages you can create but I would investigate where the opportunities are by looking at your keywords through your search console and google business insights report. Build 1 or 2 pages based on the results and wait for a bit to see if they rank. If they do, you can replicate the strategy for other locations.

Hi Stephen Thanks and happy new year to you too. Yes it is very possible to rank for "near me searches" The main factor would be the proximity of the business to the searcher who is using "near me". There is no distance limit to rank as such. If you were the only plumber across the whole of the US for example, you would rank N#1 for anyone searching plumber near me but since there is a ton of competition it makes it a lot harder.

Hi Habib. Many thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I don't have any specific video for restaurant/takeout type of businesses. As local businesses they follow the exact same rules as other local businesses so keep applying the tips and it will help.
Funny you make the example of creating the Arlington service page when I live in Dallas lol and I'm trying to learn this exact thing 👍 a competitor here has service pages like that. I should definitely follow these tips. This competitor ranks #1 in map pack and search sometimes for multiple areas!

Hey biggest Frank! long time no speak. The only thing I do was explained in the video. I just add internal links to the location pages. The one additional thing I do, which I didn't talk about in the video, was to submit the page to be indexed on Google via search console. It's not necessary as it gets pick up anyway. It's more for piece of mind.
I wouldn't recommend it unless you can legitimately justify them and abides by Google's guidelines. Otherwise there's a great chance you could be suspended

I recently launched my small business, a recording studio, and I'm struggling somewhat to understand why other nearby businesses come up higher in Google/Google Maps results when I search "recording studios near me". We have more ratings than all of them, a better ranking than two of them (we come up fourth), and their websites, at least to me, don't seem as SEO-optimized as ours. Some of their websites even have spelling errors and such. Do you think it's a matter of seniority, or sheer number of clicks? There are many reasons why other businesses might be ranking above you. You mentioned your business was recently launched. This could be a good reason why you are not ranking as well as other already established business. I would also look at the link profile of the other business's website. You might find they have more links pointing to them. Try getting more links as well. Make sure your content is in line with your targeted keyword and your location too.

I have spent 20 years watching people provide misleading stats to suit their own agenda. Ask a tradesmen what he wants and he will tell you phone calls. You can pretend and insinuate 200 people a month are looking for a search term but in reality it’s floored unless using paid ads. SEO / SEM works for national companies with high search volumes being found for highly competitive keywords. Prove me wrong ….

Creating city pages for a brick and mortar business like a restaurant is not the best strategy. This tactic is more recommended for business owners who travel to their customers.

Instead of making the URL page 》 /bromley for example, wouldn't it be better to write in the URL of the page instead: /electrician-bromley, this way you get the exact match word. have more content like videos, put those videos on youtube and slip them into your website and blog.

How do you create the map with the city outline and your business info (if you are not in that city)? As shown at 11m:56sec.
You can't. In the video it just shows the outline of the area.
