  • SLS Rocket is stuck! NASA lost The Way
The SLS will open doors to invaluable scientific research on the moon in the upcoming year, but that will happen only when the rocket gets launched. NASA's recent high-tech rocket is experiencing rollout delays to the point that we're wondering if it will make its way to space or be lost among the rubble here on Earth. So, stick around till the end to find out about the progress on the SLS.
    Project Artemis
Humanity's past lunar adventures mainly involved a human taking a couple of steps on the moon, hoisting a country's flag, and making a safe trip back to Earth. Unlike this sequence of events, NASA plans to establish a prolonged human presence on the moon, providing unrestricted access to its resources for mining and tourism. Simply put, you'd be able to take frequent trips to the moon. If all goes well, you might just be able to have a perfectly normal life there, just like you do here on Earth.
The Space Launch System, commonly abbreviated as the SLS, is the key to our journey back to the moon. The whole thing is being branded under 'Project Artemis,' and Greek Mythology nerds would understand the mystery behind this name. Artemis is the God of the moon and is a sister to Apollo. The very same Apollo after which the initial mission to the moon was named. The whole thing seems quite impossible, but knowing NASA's previous track record of pulling off otherwise hopeless endeavors, the SLS might just prove to be successful in its goals. But the first step to any such mission's success is its launch, and the SLS seems to be facing certain problems in this aspect.
Starting with the project's official rollout, Deputy associate minister for exploration at NASA, Tom Whitemeyer, has recently confirmed that the rollout will take place somewhere in March, after its final pre-launch test. NASA says that the reason behind the delay is to provide adequate time to the workers for last-minute touchups so that the rocket has a smooth flight and doesn't go berserk in space. The last time the project faced a halt was somewhere at the beginning of February when one of the engines responsible for the spacecraft's core stage malfunctioned. As expected, the practice countdown didn't happen and was pushed to mid-February.
