Elon Musk Reveals Completely Self-Driving Tesla
Elon Musk has been talking about fullly Self Driving Cars for years now. Recently however he actually revealed the first fully self driving Tesla. The tech genius, Elon Musk, wants to see off the last gas-fueled vehicles by introducing his own company’s autonomous electric cars. The largest EV car company in the world, Tesla, is pushing the boundaries of scientific technology and mechanical engineering with the concept of robotic cars. Elon Musk is completely dominating the automobile industry. First, with electric cars and now with self-driving cars. He thinks that cars will be completely autonomous by 2029. Elon Musk has talked extensively about completely self-driving Tesla cars and if it were up to him, everyone would be driving them.
According to Musk, Self-driving cars are the natural extension of active safety and obviously something we should do.
Musk revealed his feelings on them in his interview with Mathias Döpfner, the CEO of Axel Springer. Listen to this:
"I'm just saying what will most likely occur, and I am certain about this, is that self-driving will become much safer than a human driver. Probably by a factor of 10," he told Döpfner, adding that the bar for whether a person will be able to drive or not will be much more "stringent" in the future when autonomous driving is "10 times safer."
And although Tesla is hard at work to produce self-driving cars, it’s still a work in progress.
The Tesla CEO has also expressed his frustration by saying that making the self-driving process is a lot harder than he initially expected.
Musk tweeted: Self-driving was a "hard problem" that "requires solving a large part of real-world AI. The tech icon also said that he "Didn't expect it to be so hard, but the difficulty is obvious in retrospect.”
