- Nannies meet kittens part 2: GB was interested in meeting the Astro 6, so I finally let him meet all of them face to face. He's usually standoffish with new kittens at first, then he warms up. This was the case with the Spice Girls, the Bugs, and Pumpkin Patch too. The Astros are a bit smaller than GB is used to. He sniffed, pawed, and said "NOPE!" I'm completely happy with the way he handled it. This footage was taken about a week ago, and there has been a new development. I let Phoebe take over the nanny job, and she was, of course, superb. Introducing the kittens to different personalities-sweet Phoebe, suspicious BB, and standoffish GB-teaches them that not all adult cats/dogs like hanging out with little kittens.

Phoebe girl is in her element. So gratifying to watch her, especially when she tucks the kittens into her chest, claiming them, protecting them,and loving them.❤
GB may be a bit overwhelmed by all of them. He is a sensitive soul after all. He will mellow to them in time.❤
It makes me think about the strays…..never felt love or the comfort of a soft blanket. That’s why I will never let Choo-Choo Kitty (the stray living in my laundry) go. She deserves better than what she had. I just hope Ollie (dog) will get comfortable with her so she can walk around the house and explore.

GB behaved like a gentleman, as always. You could tell from the look on his face that he's taking everything in and just needs some time to process it in true introvert fashion. 😊
GB will get there with him. He’s so good at self regulating. Those kittens will soon love him to bits. PB working her magic as she always does. ❤❤
GB says "no thanks." 😂 He was polite and respectful, and leaving the scene is one of the best choices he could have made if he's not ready for all of the "littles" yet.
You and those precious babies stay safe from all the flooding going on in Houston. Maybe it was just "kitten overload" with 6 of them coming at him.
GB needs for them to be s bit bigger. PB makes sure yo greet each one and touch them. She is a natural born mother.❤❤❤❤❤

When they get just a little bit bigger I have the feeling GB will start showing more interest. Never ceases to amaze me how awesome PB is with the kittens. I can attest to what you said about cat lovers also have dogs. I have 2 dogs & my cats over them❤

And PB is so loving with all of the babies....just like she was and is with GB. She's still his nanny and the new babies will love her just as ferociously as she loves them ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Two of our three cats love our dog and the other cat loves no one but my 15 yo son. 😊 I can't imagine our household without both cats and dogs. They help make us more than the sum of our parts ❤
