Welcome back to Japan!!! Sorry about the two-week hiatus - we were busy being tour guides with our incredible Flying the Nest Expeditioners in Finland - but we are back :) the final Japan video comes out next week before we break for Christmas :) - whats all your Christmas plans??
We have been itching to see the rest of the Japan series. We are planning to take our little one there next Feb just before they turn 1! Over Chrissy we have lots of family and friends time then a trip to the NSW South Coast for new year while we await the arrival of our first bub. Hope you are feeling well Jess ❤️ merry Christmas Parry-Valentines!
I watched your Finland adventures on IG! Looks like you had a blast! Loving the Japan series but can't wait to see Finland. As for Christmas, just a little bit of R&R... and some quality time with your little book, which recently arrived to PA, USA. 😊
Christmas day with my family. On Dec 27th friends gift exchange and dinner made by me. Merry Christmas to you all. Hunter is getting so big and verbal. Enjoy your Christmas holidays.
This video really encompasses how much Hunter is learning through your travels. I think it is soo amazing that you have continued your adventures with her. 💛
You have probably left now, but just as a tip for pregnant mothers in Japan. You can get a special little keychain to attach to a handbag or backpack. It lets fellow train members, and store owners, police and the general community you are pregnant. It is Japan's way of taking care of pregnant women. You will be given seats by strangers on the train (even if you don't look pregnant yet), department stores will usually have special treatment, any bathroom queue/ restaurant lines you will be allowed to the front of the line. Just so many generous courtesies given of respect to pregnant women. In general, the Japanese are so polite and respectful, so I am sure no issues. But just for anyone else visiting - its such a wonderful tip for pregnant women!
What an incredible video this was. I love Tokyo, and there is always something new and fun to see an do! How delightful was that Rickshaw driver? He's so sweet and absolutely was a gem to Hunter. Just another example of the Japanese work culture pride that I admire and respect so much. 🥰
We have a daughter who lives in Tokyo. She got us a family visit visa to visit in August this year, when the border was shut. Incredible experience, we didn’t see one single tourist in 10 days. Had it all to ourselves, aside from the millions of Japanese, who are just incredible people. Tokyo is a MUST visit, it’s an incredible place. Very reasonably priced also. Soooooo much to do
What an amazing place Tokyo looks to be, what an amazing time you had and Hunter really enjoyed herself so fun watching you in the cookery class you all had especially Hunter,❤❤
That was one of the coolest videos I have seen you make, I love how much Hunter has a mind of her own, I love that Jess is pregnant and that Stephen is having the time of his life! Looooove your videos.
Yayayaya! Can I just say Steve I’ve been watching alllll your videos (yes right from the very start) and your editing skills have blown me away the improvement is soooo inspiring! These are like full blown documentary’s now ❤😂 I love them! The openings must be such hard work! (Although I love all your videos!) Loved this video as always these Japan videos are always sooooo fun to watch! Xxxxx
I’ve recently started my channel ( moved abroad from UK!) and you are my inspiration for starting! Love watching your videos, love travelling and we have a 1&3 year old 🥰
Hunter: "Robot scary!" Me: "I'm thinking the same thing little darlin'!" Technology should not look, act or ever be as smart as human beings. It's just weird. Kudos to you Steven, Jess and Hunter for climbing up the Tokyo Tower! I almost got sick just looking at how high up it was!
It's so cool, that you are back in Japan again; saving your videos for later and as an inspiration for my hopefully second trip to Japan next year. Looking forward for more videos and wishing you the best for your family. Greetings from Germany :)
My fiancé and I have just watched this and he’s already been desperate to go to Japan but this makes him want to go even more! And watching hunter makes us so excited to hopefully have kids one day ❤
I'm convinced Hunter will be a chef - never seen a child so interested in and in love with food! T Tantan is THE place to go for vegan ramen! We loved it so much we went twice! This video only made me want to go back to Japan even more 😢
While watching the video, bought tickets to teamLab Planets Tokyo museum and added it to our itinerary! Thanks for the recommendation. We'll be spending our Christmas in Japan!
Happy Holidays Stephen Jess & Hunter l hope you have a great time in Finland have a great day & congratulations on your second baby Hunter will be a great sister 💕🥰❤️😍💖
For those who cannot speak Japanese, it is convenient to purchase a product sold in Japan called "Poketalk" that converts English into Japanese and communicates in Japanese. If you talk to the small machine in English, it will speak Japanese instead of text. You can translate English into more than 20 countries (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish, etc.) to speak and communicate with the other party. It is sold at electronic stores in Japan. It is also very convenient for traveling to countries other than Japan.
That was such a fun video to watch! Hunter is hilarious! It's so great that you have Jess's parents with you. What amazing memories they will cherish. Ps. I am SO excited for the South African series. Being from South Africa and now living in America I have a feeling I am going to have moments of pure happiness, joy but also sadness and envy! But mostly happy that you get to go back home Stephen and that little Hunter can see Africa in all its glory! I hope you guys are planning a safari and that you will also go to Cape Town! :)
Those mirror rooms remind me of Infinity on The Gold Coast ❤ Japan has certainly been added to my list of places I’d love to go. Especially as a Mario Kart fan 😁
Wauw this is the most awesome Trip with your parents Jess ❤ 😂Hunter sure likes Sushi , she just so sweet plus very Grateful with “Thank you mummy “ 💕 Those machines with toys etc ar so “ Addictive until you win the toy 🤣 . Great video Jess How are you doing ? Take care 🥰
2:49- Hunter sure enjoyed that rickshaw ride (and the driver was very jovial and patient while hauling three passengers). FWIW, rickshaws were evidently invented in Yokohama in the late 1870's by a US American missionary who wanted a convenient way to transport his invalid wife around the community and soon became popular with Japanese passenger litter companies because with rickshaws, they only had to hire a single driver per rickshaw instead of TWO carriers per litter and soon became replaced traditional litters all over Southeast Asia.
During September to November it was twice a week 😂 but now we are back to once a week - however we skipped last week as we were running our group tours in Finland plus a bit exhausted sorry!!
