I want to use my 1992 Sears garage opener on WiFi. My sears uses dip switches for the transmiter. All WiFi add on units only work with programable openers. Can I connect to my door opener wall buttons a Linear MDR-U Universal MegaCode Receiver
and expect it to work with for example the LiftMaster 821LM WiFi or anything similar. Thanks, Ken

Trying to control an underground garage door equipped with a standalone Linear Delta 3-DNR00001 using Homelink in my 2004 Honda Odyssey. Homelike programming is unresponsive using Linear handheld remote that works fine manually. Please advise how to operate controller to open garage door from my van...WITHOUT screwing up door operation for 30 other garage users. Is there a LEARN button inside Linear controller? If I operate it, will programming change so other all the manual remotes are useless...until reprogrammed? Is there a cost effective Homelink controllable switch I can bridge across opener contacts to provide momentary contact closure that's needed to open door?

I HAVE A FIX: THE STANLEY 1090 RECEIVER HAS A SILVER METAL STICKER INSIDE THE CASE BACK COVER THAT CAUSES THE RF SECTION OF THE RECEIVER TO NOT WORK INTERMITTENTLY. THE STICKER IS NOT GROUNDED SO IT CAN OSCILLATE WITH NEARBY AC AND OTHER RFI. REMOVE THE BACK OF THE 1090, REMOVE THE STICKER USING NAPTHA, AND IT SHOULD WORK FINE. WHOEVER DESIGNED THE STICKER IN THERE DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT RFI.
