I love me a good thunderstorm video and this is definitely that. I really like that you didn't feel the need to exclaim and oh and ah at every bright burst of lightning. I can't stand those types of videos. Thank you for sharing this
Dunno if you guys gives a shit but if you're stoned like me atm you can stream all the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend for the last few days xD
That storm was something else. They said a tornado was gonna hit Wheaton, IL (where I live) but the whole thing blew over. The only thing it did was rain for about an hour. However, where my aunt lives, in Plainfield, IL there was a tornado warning. Their power went out for a bit, it was pouring rain and the winds were damaging. It's shocking how quickly it got dark in the video! I'm surprised the tornado sirens didn't go off in your town. Great video!
A definite supercell there. I've never, even in the UK heard thunder that explosively boomy and loud realising it's due to positive lightning strikes which are rarer and more powerful. I remember the storm I saw in Florida in 2002 being like nothing I've seen in the UK. Thanks for sharing :)
I love the dog. I just knew you had one. I'm blind, so I'm listening to this, and I hear your dog pacing and panting. He/she's very nervous. Is she a shepherd? I have a Yellow Lab.
Oh no. It's nothing to be sorry about. I've been blind since birth, and I'm very independent, or at least I want to be. Hahaha. I've had four Guides now, and I'm working on getting a fifth, God willing. Thanks.
I use a product called JAWS (Job Access With Speech) by Freedom Scientific, and I've set my screen reader to speak each letter I type, so I can make corrections as I go along. You can even go online to freedom scientific dot com and download a demo version. It may take a little getting used to, but most people actually love it. Even some use similar screen readers to "read" to them, because they now have actual human voices. JAWS has Elloquence, and I think there are a few others in the demo, but I'm not sure.
Power cuts in the UK we still have, but not so many as what we use to have back in the early 90's and late 80's, which use to knock out power nearly every thunderstorm we had.
Where I live in Wisconsin, we had some really powerful winds, lots of rain, and a lot of lightning. The power went out at around 7:30 pm, and came back on at around 2:20 am. We had one lightning strike right by my house, and the thunder was so loud an so instant, we thought it struck our roof. I only got video of the aftermath of the storm though. This is the second big wind storm that has happened in this area, and the second time the power went out for a long period of time this year.
Back when my profession was film making, we turned the camera OFF when we were randomly moving around, such as this young man when he went indoors, and turned it ON when we were pointing at something. Lots of people seem to leave the camera on, when walking and all we see is the ground and their feet. Do modern cameras not have the ability to stop and start?
In 2011, I saw it was lightning to the northwest where I live and I stepped outside from my 72 degree apartment onto my deck and BAM! Instant lens fog over. That was because even at 1am, it was in the low 80's, dewpoints in the mid-70's and the heat index was still 101! A person can handle it somewhat during the day but at night, everyone just wants it to be cool. Severe storms did roll through during the 2am hour.
This would have been so much better if you had 'cleared' the camera lens after it fogged up. Great storm though. We get storms like this everyday here in Florida.
I can't wait any longer to see our first big thunderstorm on Sunday here in Montreal. The forecast announces 104F humidex so I hope it will be really heavy! I love thunderstorms, especially at night because you see better the lightning and like many youtubers, I make videos.
The hail didn't sound like it was that large, possibly pea-sized, in which case this storm is not severe as it takes quarter size hail to make it severe.
I love thunderstorms too but don't get too many in LA...I like the really loud thunder and the really bright lightning...the scary thunderstorms :) I need to move back to Colorado where I grew up...had some awesome storms there....
Ah, yes. I remember this. I live near the city and we got nailed where we live. My mom and I are storm enthusiasts and we thought it was the apocalypse. XD It got extremely black outside...
Thankfully here in the UK power surges are almost non existent, due to each house having an BUFFER of sorts between each others power supply units. This stops any electrical wave thats over the grid level (240 volts) from attacking any appliance that is within the houses. Why don't you lot have BUFFERS?
TeamScrewYou Lol. I made one up too. Day Time= Come at me bro! Night Time= Shut the fuck up. We don't need no thunder during bedtime. Thunder:(goes away). I'll let you sleep.....for now.
Last year a tornado warning hit mi leving area and i am not use to it because I actually don't live in tornado alley i live in Quebec neer ontario about five hours from Toronto
@@JesseWoltersom No. The metric system is an invention of the Devil. The traditional British system should be universal worldwide (pls pardon redundancy).
We rarely get this kinds of rains in the Middle East. Even in rainy seasons. Speaking of the devil one just happened yesterday. Causing me and my father to wake up.

Thanks for posting this. The progression of the storm is amazing and the darkness that overtook your neighborhood was downright spooky.
Perfect timing for recording! The fading around brightness and mist is terribly mind-blowing!
I love me a good thunderstorm video and this is definitely that. I really like that you didn't feel the need to exclaim and oh and ah at every bright burst of lightning. I can't stand those types of videos. Thank you for sharing this
I like sitting on my porch and watch the storm roll in.. So neat like if u agree
Dunno if you guys gives a shit but if you're stoned like me atm you can stream all the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend for the last few days xD
@Ashton Malakai Definitely, been watching on instaflixxer for since november myself :)

The change in the sky is...amazing! But moving indoors...great idea! Thanks for the vid, one of the best storms ever.
Those bomb like thunderclaps are indicative of positively charged lightning. Those are very rare

Fantastic amount of lightning and really loud thunderclaps
Awesome thunder !!!! Positive lightning probably :) So loud
Worst part of a thunderstorm is when they leave...
Or if a not so intense or boring one comes instead
beautiful footage! amazing lightning
This is why i miss the Midwest the thunderstorms always seemed to be the most violent in late May through June with plenty of heat and humidity
Awesome thunder indeed! This video lives up to its namesake! Superb job and video!

+Heather stubbs Oh im sorry to hear that ur blind D:.
i have a west highland terrier but he is very good during thunderstorms
+TheCarGuyLH Braille keyboard and a LOT of practice. My high schools' tech teacher was blind, had a bunch of cool stuff to help him out.

Sooo beautiful!! Love those kinds of storms!
I remember every afternoon or evening of July, dark clouds would roll in and the storm would leave until 8-9PM. That’s one thing I miss about summer.
Am I the only one who likes intense thunderstorms??
Those are the darkest clouds I've ever seen in a storm!

Evil looking skies from halfway through onwards, some awesome lightning and thunder too. Nice video.
Too bad the UK can't get storms like this...
i love the powerful thunder sounds !!!!
but,i don't see a shelfcloud on this storm.
there was also a tornado warning or not?
this was posted before my sister birthday, cool
I lived In Carol Stream in 1982 to 1984. We had a couple of bad storms come through back then.
Back when my profession was film making, we turned the camera OFF when we were randomly moving around, such as this young man when he went indoors, and turned it ON when we were pointing at something. Lots of people seem to leave the camera on, when walking and all we see is the ground and their feet. Do modern cameras not have the ability to stop and start?
no, probably lazy people, or people that don't read the users manual
great storm, where this located??

Continuous cloud to ground lightning, is expected with this storm, this storm will also impact...
were there any tornadoes reported with this cell?
This would have been so much better if you had 'cleared' the camera lens after it fogged up. Great storm though.
We get storms like this everyday here in Florida.
sgt Redd well I will move house to Florida then.lol
I love watching severe Thunder storms been through some duseys like here in West Allis Wisconsin where I live !!
I can't wait any longer to see our first big thunderstorm on Sunday here in Montreal. The forecast announces 104F humidex so I hope it will be really heavy! I love thunderstorms, especially at night because you see better the lightning and like many youtubers, I make videos.
that is some intense lightning
The hail didn't sound like it was that large, possibly pea-sized, in which case this storm is not severe as it takes quarter size hail to make it severe.
Not just hail that makes it severe. winds are more then 50 or something miles per hour to make it severe.
PoohBear68009
It needs both 1"+ hail and 58 MPH winds to become severe.
***** well to me im not counting 1 inch hail severe.
As you wish but know that it isn't severe.
***** Right now, i don't care. But...
I've always loved thunderstorms, but we hardly ever him around where I live >
+trollsthatlol1
Same :(
I love thunderstorms too but don't get too many in LA...I like the really loud thunder and the really bright lightning...the scary thunderstorms :) I need to move back to Colorado where I grew up...had some awesome storms there....
How much Bass was these Thunderstorms?
I keep trying to watch the full video but the sound keeps putting me to sleep. Thanks for sharing.
Nice ..! Is there any real Temp. drop while this is happening in this Area? Or does it stay Warm? Recalling Temp at the end of the Thunderstorm?
These seem like the most dangerous storms. Not very windy at first but lots of lightning.
Great cloud to cloud lightning in the beginning!!
Awesome, I love this weather
As long as i'm inside lol.
Something special: I was born on this day
It's the huminity fogging the lens
Nice...Greetings from Oslo,Norway

Ah, yes. I remember this. I live near the city and we got nailed where we live. My mom and I are storm enthusiasts and we thought it was the apocalypse. XD It got extremely black outside...

Was this capable of producing a tornado
Last year a tornado warning hit mi leving area and i am not use to it because I actually don't live in tornado alley i live in Quebec neer ontario about five hours from Toronto

Talk about UK London has a big thunder storm right NOW! It may be mader than this. As soon as one strikes your whole vision it yellow.
I was almost as mesmerized by the temp change causing the camera to defog
Power lines were levels and even roofs got riped
The camera has a smudge on it.
Weather observations should be in Metric.
Everything should be Metric...
AlbertaGamer you mean measurements in the USA should be metric. I swear it’s easier and faster to understand
@@JesseWoltersom No. The metric system is an invention of the Devil. The traditional British system should be universal worldwide (pls pardon redundancy).
I ad a very severe weather that made trees fall over and hail and about 65 mph winds
great job gus herb
scary storm
WOWWWWWWWWWWWW
I couldn't really see much next time you need to wipe off the lens for a future heads up.
+Chris Pulido It's a 22 minutes video. How many of these minutes have you watched?
Around 8:15 the fogging on the lens disappear due to the rapid cool down of humidity.
Thats quite a rainmaker
