French Provencal stuffed tomatoes : lovely side dish for summer

Step by step recipe demonstrating how to make French provencal tomatoes. This dish of stuffed tomatoes with garlic and breadcrumbs is perfect if you are looking at a tomato vegetarian dish or tomato side dish.
Ingredients for 4 people:
6 ripe tomatoes chopped in half
2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
50 grams / 0.41 cups of quality breadcrumbs
3 to 4 tablespoons chopped parsley
3 tablespoons of olive oil
Salt and peper for the seasoning
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cooking times:15 minutes

I kinda did this last night. Lol I took a large plum tomato, sliced into 3 thickish slices. I poured a lil light olive oil on each , then sprinkled Italian breadcrumbs then parmesan cheese, placed on the foil covered lil pan that I also had my two frozen chicken cordon Bleu to bake 35 minutes. Brown rice on the stove.
Lovely dish. Good idea to do side dishes. They make all the difference and not many shows bother with them.
My family is from northern Italy, this is almost the same as how we do it, except we add parmesan cheese to the filling.

That does look easy and delicious. I will definitely try that this year when my own tomatoes ripen in the summer and I've got more than I know what to do with. Don't be mad if i add some Parmesan cheese to the bread crumbs. Best wishes!

I was so hungry after watching this that I made the dish immediately. I had no tomatoes so I' ve made it with champignon mushrooms. I can't believe that such an easy dish with so simple ingredients can be so delicious! Made my day!

I made these and threw them into soup and it was very good.
I just came back to thank you. I made this last week and served it with some roasted sweetheart cabbage with a garlic cashew sauce and some greenbean almondine. I made as a date night dinner with my husband and it was a delicious vegan meal. The stuffed tomatoes were a huge hit for us both and will be made regularly! Thanks again.
