Doopliss was probably the greatest boss. Unlike other Mario bosses, this one was truly a boss against Mario, as he retained all of the original Mario's abilities and didn't use some weird magical nonsense. In addition, since he looked almost exactly like Mario, and the original Mario looking like a shadowy clone of himself, it seemed like a battle of villain versus hero, with you on the villain's side.
No one ever gives Dreamy Mario enough credit. As a boss, he's certainly much more of a boss than Smoldergeist, and tougher as well. As an enemy, he's genius. The fight teaches you to keep an eye on your enemy, and to be careful about how you dodge attacks.

I love how DKJ gets the final key in just before the bird gets him.
Why didn't they include the Dark Mario fight at the Great Maze in the Subspace Emissary in SSB Brawl? That is a Mario battle after all.

Hearing the boss music for Mario and Luigi Dream Team hit me with so much nostalgia I just loved that game so much as a kid
