I’m a huge fan investigating archives and currently I’m fixated on rom archiving. This has been fun and informative. Nice to see some archiving sites that have trustworthy reliable information on Roms, rather than being bombarded with pop up ads or malware

For cartridge based consoles, look for no-intro roms, for disc based consoles, look for redump isos/bin and cue/gdi files (like the ps2 one by AlvRo, renowned guy in the community, in the video)

I kept running into a weird situation where I was accidentally downloading some files and this helped me figure out exactly what I was doing wrong and the steps to make sure I don’t download the files. As an archivist at heart, or let's be honest, a data pack rat... I love that the community is doing a fantastic job of preserving the history of gaming. I think there should be a gov't bureau of preservation doing this though, with experts actually paid for the work of carefully collecting and curating it all.

In no way am i advocating for anyone to download these files, but if you where perhaps looking for a specific file to absolutely not install, I would suggest copying and pasting the list into a word document and use the search function on word to find a specific title
