You remind me so much of my aunt.. She's not here anymore but I smile everytime I see your videos, they're fun to watch and I get a free smile from a good memory
Leah, you're awesome. I own a home repair business and know everything you teach, but I still watch your videos anyway because I simply love to hear you talk shop! Thanks for sharing your gift of teaching and kind spirit with all of us!
I love, love, love these videos. Leah is a great teacher. She shows how to do things without being condescending. She is encouraging, and the step by step is great! Thank you so much!
It's always refreshing to see you here. I know the frequency has dropped off a bit. Life is what it is. And I know how many different directions life can tug you. Whatever your reason is, I'm just glad I'm seeing you around again more frequently. Thank you for being you Leah! And thank you for the excellent content you provide!
Hi Leah. Thought I'd add a tip about masking, say, windows... put a course of tape on the glass around the window up against the trim first because it is easier to make a finer straight edge with tape than wrestling with the paper, itself, to make it fit the edges of the glass. Then fold an lay the paper so that it covers the area inside the tape. Taping around the masking paper, make sure half of the tape covers the edge course of tape and half over the paper. Cleanup is a breeze and you don't have to touch up raggedy spots... but it does use more masking tape. The finished job looks much cleaner.
Super simple to understand. As a non-English native speaker, it's hard to understand some times. But Leah, explain so perfectly clear, that I understood everything she said. I am not constructor, and I am on my way to learn how to do things now that I bought my house. Thank you Leah. I loved to find you
I love watching your videos. Every time I look for how to do something and I find that you'll teach me I stop searching and I listen. Thank you for taking the time to teach us.
Thanks Leah, I have done a lot of painting with rollers and brushes, but I have always been curious about these airless sprayers. Lot of good info in this video.
Leah your videos are so helpful to the diy people, I enjoy watching them, your teachings are so easy to understand, keep up the great work. You are the best teacher out there, thank you.
I painted my whole stucco house with a roller. It was hard work. I was scared from the power paint tool. Now, I will definitely consider this tool. Thank you 🙏 for sharing the video
A couple tips: 1. You seem to be getting some heavy tails at full pressure. I would suggest thinning the paint. If it's latex then you just add water. Look at your paint's technical specification sheet to see how much you can (you can find that at the same place you got your paint or also online in most cases) 2. The numbers on the tip 515 for example; the first number in a 3-digit or the first 2 numbers in a 4-digit refer to how wide the fan is at a certain distance while the last 2 digits refer to how much fluid is getting thru the tip (match these numbers to the ones given on the tech spec sheet)
I love how simple you communicate your information to people... I have seen several videos of yours and they are awesome and I learned alot.. Keep up the good work... thank you again
Hi Leah - Whenever I am thinking of a home project I first check your videos! I recently was looking for two things. One was the airless paint sprayer - excellent information. The second was not there, how to measure a room for tile. How to lay the tile out, but not how to measure it. I found the information, but the truth is I trust you more than others, you make everything seem so simple. Once I start looking at one video I can't stop watching at least five more of your DIY videos. You are dangerous for me, as I want to do everything you show lol. Thank you so very much for all your how-to videos, your patience in teaching, and no extra chitchat.
Great and timely video. Just got done pressure washing my 200 ft. 5 board fence. Have been looking for a paint sprayer for about a month. My hand painting jobs are over. I need this tool. Thank you so much for your tips.
That was very helpful. It's nice to have an explanation of what the different parts to the tool are and do and then see them in action. Sometimes the print is vague and pretty small for these old eyes. I always appreciate your videos. I hope you've been well.
Thank you Leah - another great video that is so expertly presented. I love that you speak so clearly and at a nice steady pace whilst keeping jargon to a minimum. That makes it so easy to understand what you are teaching. I wish others would present as well as you do. Take care Leah & stay safe from us all here in Australia.
Well Leah I want to congratulate you on your achievement of all those viewers! I am a fairly new subscriber and I can not tell you how much I appreciate the time you give in explaining in layman language what you are doing, why you are doing it and what would be a good idea not to do. You are my hands on buddy I have always needed! I have stopped myself from trying to do so many repairs for fear I would mess it up and then it would cost double to make it right again! Your encouragement and detailed step by step instructions really help over coming the fear of tackling any project! I just remember your slogan “You can do it!” And I’ll be darn I CAN DO IT!!!!
Thank you Leah! This video is perfect. My brother just purchased a paint sprayer for me to do my kitchen cabinets. I’m so looking forward to using it now. ❤️
I'm currently in the process of painting my house and that's almost the exact same color! My Wagner is an old one that requires you to thin the paint with lubricant (Floetrol) until it runs timely through a viscosity funnel. It's such a chore getting it right and cleaning up the mess that I've elected to use a brush. I'd buy a new gun but, unfortunately, funds are limited. Thanks for the very informative video! Like all of your videos, it was very enjoyable! 👍👍
Leah you are the best! I absolutely love you and have for years. You are knowledgeable about so much and you are a wonderful teacher! Thanks so much for all your help over the years.
IS THERE NO END TO YOUR TALENTS LEAH? NOT ONLY A VERY NICE PERSON BUT BOUNDLESS ABILITY AS WELL. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU KNOW SO WELL LEAH. BEST WISHES. JOHN IN AUSTRALIA.
Jane's instructions for using the sprayer are top notch, but seriously, don't tape your glass and fittings as poorly as this. Whatever time you save in using the sprayer will be used scraping and touching up the windows. Take the time to cut your paper, tape ONLY on the glass, and tape your handles and fittings. DON'T paint metal hardware, ever! All you are doing is turning your brand new paint job into a tacky mess a few months down the road. It's an annoying, time consuming process, but it will improve the look of your finished job exponentially.
You are the best. I learned so much about using a paint sprayer. I think that now I can use a paint sprayer. Thank you for taking the stress out of using a paint sprayer?
Alright then, thank you, been painting for 35 years with spray cans, tonight I purchased a Graco SG3 Airless Spray Gun to use with my Airless Spray rig that I've never used for over two years, I shall put your tuition to use, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.
Great Instructions Ms. Leah. That garage door is a good example of when to use a sprayer. With all those uneven edges it probably would have taken me the better part of a day with a brush.
GREAT JOB LEAH, Nice to see how these paint sprayers work befor you go out and buy one. I have looked at them in stores but there are so many it can be confusing which one I would need for my particular needs. THANKS a lot.
Hey Leah, This is great timing because I am going to paint my house as soon as it cools down some. I have been thinking about spraying it. Last time about 12 years ago I rolled and brushed it. The wife wants to change the colors just a little. Thanks for the great tips!
Injection injuries are scary things. You could have a tiny pinhole injury on your finger, meanwhile toxic paint has traveled all up in your arm. You need surgery immediately if that happens.
Great video, just wanted to add that if you want to paint up and down instead of side to side you will need to turn your sprayer guard vertical, also the numbers on your airless sprayer correspond to the pressure required by the paint manufacturer, so number 5 for example = 5000psi of pressure, also the tip number 515 mean how wide your fan is and how much material you will be spraying. Take the first number and double its value so a 515 tip will spray a 10 inch fan at 12" distance, the last 2 digits mean the hole size of your tip, in other words the amount of paint being allowed out of the sprayer, 15 in 515 mean you have 0.15 orifice. when you purchase paint, ask for this info. use only the appropriate tip size and pressure for the paint/primer or anything else you are buying.
Leah, I want to thank you for making such excellent videos! You are thorough, giving the important information, while leaving out the unnecessary chatter.
