Its so nice that caterpillars just get to eat and eat and eat without worrying about becoming fat and at the end they turn into a gorgeous butterfly no mater how much they eat!!!
This is the difference between animals and humans the animal when it hatches knows what to do how to eat and how to survive whereas babies would be clueless
It'll always amaze me seeing how caterpillars turn into butterflies, not only monarch ones. They literally become an entire different animal, nature is awesome.
In insects with simple metamorphosis the young look much like the adults, lacking only wings usually. Think of a tiny praying mantis. It looks like a praying mantis already. With beetles and butterflies they look totally different.
How the caterpillar know that he need to change its form without any guidance of parents? It's absolutely mind blowing that he knows the whole process perfectly. Big brain insect.
Idk how much of it is something they are actually aware of vs something they just sort of do because genetics makes them do it. They may barely be thinking at all.
No offense intended, but that is that is one of the saddest things I've ever read. Cannot imagine a childhood without butterflies on fingers or placed on ones head ( or nose, ha!) Where did you grow up?
Pokemon "evolution" it's just a glorified metamorphosis. True evolution takes millenia or even millions of years, and it has the purpose for a creature to adapt and survive, not just becoming bigger or stronger than before.
My son loves this video and we've watched it several times already. He watches this while reading his book making the pictures come alive. Thank you for making this video
Rakshith Bhat in California yep, idk if that is true but when I said to Siri " Siri, it's corona time!" Siri just gave me the time of Corona,California.
I have seen the chrysallis opening videos before, for various butterflies, but it just occurred to me that I have never watched one from the laying of an egg to opening of the chrysallis. This is the sweetest video too. I love how calm and gentle the videographer is. What a treat.
The day i watched this video, i witnessed two pupa in my garden and i am taking daily pictures of them..... can't wait to see them turn into beautiful butterflies 🦋🦋
Back in Kindergarten, we had this kit that had us see the caterpillar transform into a chrysalis in this gigantic tank with sugar water sponges, sticks and leaves, and then transform into a monarch butterfly. It flew around the tank for the rest of the school year until it died. Fascinating experience truly.
Thank you for this lovingly made video. I've let my yard naturalize and have a ton of milk weed and other native flowers. This is the first year I am able to appreciate the abundance of wildlife. The birds, bees, bears, rabbits and butterflies are so entertaining. It is so relaxing to sit in my window and appreciate nature. My cat loves it, too. (Safely behind a window screen!)
7:06 Butterfly be like : Thank you My Friend from Taking care of me ever since i was a baby Now im ready to meet the world to meet new plants and animals and insects! see u again! Take care eh?
I am really amazed to see the gorgeous creation of nature. The journey to be a butterfly is equally beautiful as the butterfly itself. Thank you so much for doing such hard work to share this with us.
I don't know why this showed up in my feed now, but I'm very glad it did. That was beautiful! And to the gentleman who was patient and kind enough to video this, it is very much appreciated! Thank you!
I remember growing up in Pennsylvania and going to a local lake with tons of milkweed to find Monarch eggs and bring them home with enough milkweed to feed them and watching them grow almost every year. Our school system even did this in a few elementary grades. Such a fond memory that I forgot about.
I've kept Vapourer moths as "pets" before here in the UK, so I've seen a lot of this process - they, too, look cool as caterpillars, and the adults are quite interesting as the females just have tiny little wing stubs and sit on the cocoon emitting a pheromone to attract the males (hence, "vapourer" moth). This is a brilliant video. It didn't feel like it was 8 minutes long! Thank you for going to the effort of putting this together and sharing with us.
Last week I teach my brother 'life cycle of butterfly' it's good that YT recommend this video, I can show it to my brother, he will understand even more now :))

I just caught a blue shining pupa in my garden sticking on a wall I was searching on it that which one is it now that I've seen this video it will be more easier for me to shoot it. But I'm really excited to see that beautiful butterfly 🦋. 🤩🤩
This just brings back memories of when I was in 2nd grade and in my science class we were all given paint lady butterflies and we watch grow from tiny eggs and when they became butterflies we released them outside🥺
Super. Thank you for patience, and sharing with so many of us this wonderful piece of our shared creation. We city dwellers would not see this, but for you!❤️🌟❤️
Great, informative video! Thanks so much for posting this! I have about four cats (that I can see) on my milkweed right now. I think they're 2nd and 3rd instars now. I've enclosed my potted milkweed in a pop up tent outside. I am so obsessed with them! I can't stop going outside and watching them. They're so fascinating! I hope they all make it to adulthood!!!
I love the Video you made..I SO LOVE Butterflys..I must buy.this plant MILKWEED to encourage them into my garden also..Thank you So much for this video.xxx
0:41 It's even more frustrating trying to get a picture of Monarch butterflies flying around because they're not in focus. I went to the Pacific Grove Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary this year and I didn't bother trying to take pictures of the butterflies because they move so quickly and the picture ends up being just a blur. My aunt took pictures though, but it looks like my aunt just took a bunch of pictures of the same trees when really there ARE butterflies in the picture, they're just not in focus
I raise them every year. My granddaughter & nephews help me collect caterpillars from newly hatched, to the bigguns. I have 1 enclosure for baby caters, & 1 for larger caters. Anything that's smaller than the poop, is a baby! Right now, I have over 60! During feeding times, I can literally hear them eating! I name each butterfly, then release it. I keep flowers in my front yard to place them on. I often feed them orange slices in the enclosure to give them a boost.
Its so nice that caterpillars just get to eat and eat and eat without worrying about becoming fat and at the end they turn into a gorgeous butterfly no mater how much they eat!!!
I feel you😂
Just like a pop singer/model
But can only live for 2 to 6 weeks
I can honestly feel you😂🤭
Just like getting really fat then you hit puberty
Can we take a moment to appreciate the patience of this man to show us the incredible creation of nature.
Also he can see it growing so it’s fun
Or women
ho yeah ! Not only patience, but also good visual content : light, focus, frame... A very good moment for me.
Yes!
It's mignificent
It's wonderful how she turned from just a tiny egg into a gorgeous butterfly
These and blue morphos seem the most beautiful!
Yeah
@@juniorsir9521 yes so much
Indeed it is

It'll always amaze me seeing how caterpillars turn into butterflies, not only monarch ones. They literally become an entire different animal, nature is awesome.
Humans go through puberty too and become a totally different person once the cycle complete after a few years.
@@BBQJester Hunans don’t turn into eggs halfway through life or grow wings at age 60

It's coded in its genes (DNA)🤔🧐
The genetic coding is what signals something to the animalia. These animals know their natural processes because it is what they're supposed to do.
Idk how much of it is something they are actually aware of vs something they just sort of do because genetics makes them do it. They may barely be thinking at all.
Bruh they legit said it’s a female 😂😂😂
It’s a she 😂
This is the first time I actually saw a butterfly on someone's fingers and not just in cartoons
It's beautiful
You've got to be kidding me. You need to go out in the nature more buddy
I always catched butterflies as a kid but these days they are a rare sight
No offense intended, but that is that is one of the saddest things I've ever read. Cannot imagine a childhood without butterflies on fingers or placed on ones head ( or nose, ha!) Where did you grow up?
I can't even get near them
There's something relaxing about watching a cute caterpiller munch on the leaf.
Oh yeah! That was so satisfying to watch.
Imagine saying this now, "I like corona"
Lol that didn’t age well
I like Corona
😭😭😭
And people say pokemons doesn't exist, this is clearly evolving!

Can't wait to see it emerge😍😍
Yay!

Its 2 months now, update?
It's 4months now. Any update?

6:24 i love how the butterfly moves in different poses to flex it’s wings process 🖐😂
This really shows how growing up can effect you so much. This is such a good way to teach kids about nature
Thank you so much! We just stopped at butterfly cove near Pismo Beach, CA! Saw thousands of migrating monarchs, it was beautiful,
