Girl in pieces by Kathleen Glasgow literally broke my heart. I was traumatized for days. I still think about it and wish I could read it for the first time again.
For anyone who doesn’t want to find what the books are about: I fell in love with hope: Against the unforgiving landscape of a hospital, I fell in love with a mischievous, sun-eyed boy who became my only joy in that desolate place. That’s what made it all the more soul-crushing when he committed suicide in front of me. Since then, I've sworn never to love anyone again. With three exceptions: My friends, Sony, Neo, and Coeur, a little gang of rebellious, dying kids. Sony leads the charge with the air of freedom and only one lung to breathe it. Neo, a bad-tempered and wheel-chaired writer, keeps track of our great deeds from stealing to terrorizing our nurse. Coeur is the beautiful boy, the muscle, the gentle giant with a failing heart. Before death inevitably knocks down our doors, my thieves and I have one last heist planned. A great escape that will take us far from abusive parents, crippling loss, and the realities of our diseases. So what happens when someone else walks through the door? What happens when a girl joins our party and renders me speechless with her mischievous smile? What happens when she has suns in her eyes, and as terrified as I am to lose again, I start to fall? I’ll put the rest in the replies of this comment
If he had been been with me: If he had been with me, everything would have been different… Autumn and Finn used to be inseparable. But then something changed. Or they changed. Now, they do their best to ignore each other. Autumn has her boyfriend Jamie, and her close-knit group of friends. And Finn has become that boy at school, the one everyone wants to be around. That still doesn't stop the way Autumn feels every time she and Finn cross paths, and the growing, nagging thought that maybe things could have been different. Maybe they should be together. But come August, things will change forever. And as time passes, Autumn will be forced to confront how else life might have been different if they had never parted ways…
Pack up the moon: Being a widower is not something Joshua Park ever expected. Given his solitary job, small circle of friends and family, and the social awkwardness he’s always suffered from, Josh has no idea how to negotiate this new, unwanted phase of life. But Lauren had a plan to keep him moving forward. A plan hidden in the letters she leaves him, giving him a task for every month in the year after her death. A plan that leads Joshua with a loving hand on a journey through grief, anger, and denial. It’s a journey that will take Joshua from his first outing as a widower to buy groceries…to an attempt at a dinner party where his lack of experience hosting creates a comic disaster…to finding a new best friend while weeping in the dressing room of a clothing store. As his grief makes room for new friendships and experiences, Joshua learns Lauren’s most valuable lesson: The path to happiness doesn’t follow a straight line.
The things we leave unfinished: Twenty-eight-year-old Georgia Stanton has to start over after she gave up almost everything in a brutal divorce―the New York house, the friends, and her pride. Now back home at her late great-grandmother’s estate in Colorado, she finds herself face-to-face with Noah Harrison, the bestselling author of a million books where the cover is always people nearly kissing. He’s just as arrogant in person as in interviews, and she’ll be damned if the good-looking writer of love stories thinks he’s the one to finish her grandmother’s final novel…even if the publisher swears he’s the perfect fit. Noah is at the pinnacle of his career. With book and movie deals galore, there isn’t much the “golden boy” of modern fiction hasn’t accomplished. But he can’t walk away from what might be the best book of the century―the one his idol, Scarlett Stanton, left unfinished. Coming up with a fitting ending for the legendary author is one thing, but dealing with her beautiful, stubborn, cynical great-granddaughter, Georgia, is quite another. But as they read Scarlett’s words in both the manuscript and her box of letters, they start to realize why Scarlett never finished the book―it’s based on her real-life romance with a World War II pilot, and the ending isn’t a happy one. Georgia knows all too well that love never works out, and while the chemistry and connection between her and Noah is undeniable, she’s as determined as ever to learn from her great-grandmother’s mistakes―even if it means destroying Noah’s career.
The way I used to be: Eden was always good at being good. Starting high school didn’t change who she was. But the night her brother’s best friend rapes her, Eden’s world capsizes. What was once simple, is now complex. What Eden once loved-who she once loved-she now hates. What she thought she knew to be true, is now lies. Nothing makes sense anymore, and she knows she’s supposed to tell someone what happened but she can’t. So she buries it instead. And she buries the way she used to be. Told in four parts-freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year-this provocative debut reveals the deep cuts of trauma. But it also demonstrates one young woman’s strength as she navigates the disappointment and unbearable pains of adolescence, of first love and first heartbreak, of friendships broken and rebuilt, all while learning to embrace the power of survival she never knew she had hidden within her heart.
A thousand boy kisses: One kiss lasts a moment. But a thousand kisses can last a lifetime. One boy. One girl. A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade. A bond that neither time nor distance can break. A bond that will last forever. Or so they believe. When seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen returns from his native Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, where he befriended Poppy Litchfield as a child, he has just one thing on his mind. Why did the girl who was one half of his soul, who promised to wait faithfully for his return, cut him off without a word of explanation? Rune’s heart was broken two years ago when Poppy fell silent. When he discovers the truth, he finds that the greatest heartache is yet to come. Standalone Young Adult Tearjerker Romance. For ages 14 and up

A THOUSAND BOY KISSES’S BEGINNING MADE ME CRY. THE MOM OF POPPY DIED AND GAVE HER THE JAR AND POPPY JUST KISSED RUNE BUT EVEN AFTER THAT I STILL SOBBED-
For me it was They Both Die In The End and its prequel and the Arc of a Scythe series. I was sobbing when I finished both of these series like it shredded me to pieces 😭😭🤌🤌
omgg I read the scythe series a while back and it’s literally amazing
'Girl in Peices' was a novel that had me in pieces. An amazing story with so many deep messages. (Just a warning it has heavy subject and descriptions of self harness and sexual scenes, do not read it if you get uncomfortable easily)
@ShortySadie can you briefly explain the story
@Sincerely, Sadie thank you so much
Bruhh until now I can't forget what happened to her life, it's so hard to think that she went through all that in her own at the young age. I cried hard and spacing out and alots of "what if" running in my mind after reading it.
@Sincerely, Sadie she didn't passed away, I think ur wrong. She survived.
@Sincerely, Sadie oh yeahh I remember her
The way i used to be was healing and so saf
I love how these are books that I've rarely or never seen before in YT shorts I come across. As someone who's piling up her TBR list, it's good to discover hidden gems
"Where the crawdads sing "

The titles and the covers of the books are so touching, imagine how will it be to read these books ....
also “good enough” crushed my heart 😭
I'm not a very emotional person, but The Bridge to Terrabithia did it for me. I didn't cry, but I could not stop thinking about it. It's not even the saddest book out there, but is was freaking sad.
The book names say it all 🙂✨

I read Crooked Kingdom, and that was the only book to make me cry in years. And it wasn't like a single tear, no, it was flat out sobbing. Couldn't handle it
He was dreaming again. Dreaming of her. The storm raged around him, drowning out Nina's voice. And yet his heart was easy. Somehow he knew that she would be safe, she would find shelter from the cold. He was on the ice once more, and somewhere he could hear the wolves howling. But this time, he knew they were welcoming him home.
Crooked Kingdom, chapter 40.

@@lauriceabed yeah i Haven't finished the book so idk yet...but idk if i will read after what you said tho
for me, loveless by alice oseman left me crying. not because of the drama or the sad scenes. it was because i related so much to georgia.
I feel it
No because the things we leave unfinished might actually be my most favorite book. I just finished it like 10min ago and I’ve already cried twice. It’s so heartbreaking yet so beautiful 😭😭
a thousand boy kisses was something else that had me on the verge of tears even this song has me crying 😭
“Where the Crawdads Sing” destroys me every time I read it. By the end I am sobbing uncontrollably.
I watched the movie (which probably sucks compared to the book) and yeah it was really sad

The ending of If He Had Been With Me shattered my heart same with The Things We Left Unfinished
If he had been with me made me cry for hourssss
I cry reading every single sad book but for some reason, the book that emotionally wrecked me was graevale, the fourth medoran chronicle book.
Same 😢
The saddest book EVER in my opinion is The Book Thief by Markus zusak
I was just recently reading it and left it unfinished because it was Soo damn sad !
I’m currently reading that
I’m about 3/5 of the way through it
no spoilers
What is that one about?
I just finished if he had been with me and that book made me cry so damn much.
When I read The Outsiders, it showed me how unfair the world is and I cried when Johnny and Dallas died. To this day when I reread or rewatch The Outsiders, it still makes me cry every time.STAY GOLD❤️🌅
a thousand boy kisses had me in tears. it's my favourite book.
Girl in pieces by Kathleen Glasgow literally broke my heart. I was traumatized for days. I still think about it and wish I could read it for the first time again.
For anyone who doesn’t want to find what the books are about:
I fell in love with hope:
Against the unforgiving landscape of a hospital, I fell in love with a mischievous, sun-eyed boy who became my only joy in that desolate place.
If he had been been with me:
If he had been with me, everything would have been different…
Autumn and Finn used to be inseparable.
Pack up the moon:
Being a widower is not something Joshua Park ever expected.
The things we leave unfinished:
Twenty-eight-year-old Georgia Stanton has to start over after she gave up almost everything in a brutal divorce―the New York house, the friends, and her pride.
The way I used to be:
Eden was always good at being good.
A thousand boy kisses:
One kiss lasts a moment.
