Immortal little devils in all colours...One of the best designs of auto history. Beautiful in any aspetcs, can't find a single line disturbing eyes.

Oh man! This car! I just want one so bad! Those click-clack gear changes! Perfection.

Mate, this was so much fun! Very impressive what these cars are capable off! Full fuel tank, sparewheel and jack in bootlid and just go for it. :-) Thanks for this awesome footage, seen it many times allready! First time Spa for me but more to come!!! :-) Need to film this at the Nordschleife also!!!!

I had an 81 Spider I built up that sounded similar to this one. That was a terrible year for Alfa, the "pod tweek" era, SPICA mechanical fuel injection with a single valve intake plenum that just burned up the engines. My solution was an intake manifold and dual side drafts from a 67, 1600 engine. It bolted on, except for the air cleaner, so I put velocity stacks on it. It sounded sooo good...
This car sounds almost as good, but it clearly has an air cleaner of some sort.

Exciting stuff! Thanks for sharing. Giulia's duking out at Spa, doesn't really get much better than that!

    Not that shocking Joost! :-)
Think the same as it felt for Max before when I passed hem.
We were just having lots of fun, and gave space to each other whenever needed.
    No serious race ofcourse.
Very cool to drive like this with 2 same specced cars!

That was amazing! How come the car with the inboard cam managed to get a few more mph on the straights?

Those gear ratios are dreadfull for circuit driving! What rear axle ratio were you using?

    • @johanneswarn5488

They use this as a normal road car as well so i guess the gear ratios are a compromise between tight track gears and long highway gears

Jonka Olofsson You're probably right, Even on the track, the extra grunt of the engine can make up for the bad gearing, but believe me, once you go with a GTA close ratio, you won't be coming back! :)

some weak driving on show ie how not to go fast. long periods of hang-off in high gear, pointless confidence lifting, nervous braking and lack of intent in overtaking. stick to the roads.

When you are just driving a public Trackday with friends there is no call for aggressive overtaking, simply having enjoyment together. There are also regulations on public trackdays about driving and overtaking to adhere to.
