My Watch: Mario Andretti and the Story of His Yema Rallye

- You don’t need to be a racing fan to know the name Mario Andretti. Arguably one of the most accomplished and iconic American race car drivers of all time, Mario Andretti has had a long and storied career, taking the checkered flag 111 times over the course of five exciting decades.
Mario is also a watch guy. In fact, he often wore a watch while behind the wheel of a car, and many photos from his races show Mario with a watch strapped to the wrist. However, Mario did not purchase many of the watches he’s owned or owns today - they were either won or gifted to him. But the watch that he wore during his famous 1969 Indy 500 win, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, Mario actually purchased. That watch is a Yema (Wesley's branded) Rallye chronograph.

🇫🇷 great to see some Made in France 🇫🇷
I have a Yema Superman Heritage which I love...this watch may be the next racing chronograph I pick up
Great man & great watches! I'm ordering my first Yema tonight! It's the Meangraf B70 model with a Seiko VK-64 movement! Thank mate for the short doco.
As a big racing fan, this was cool!
Appreciate it!
Mario Andretti drew me into buying my Yema Rallygraf. Too bad I couldn't order the limited Andretti version but settled on their reverse panda black instead as it was the closest to his Wesley/Yema one.
Thanks - great vid. Really appreciate your channel and site! Nice work and reviews.
Thanks Tom!
My quartz Yema RallyGraf Brown Panda came today, similar watch. It comes on a nice mesh band, not a quartz lover or hater, but had a $100 of Yema points, so got it. Only thing I don't like is no second hand. Only this was a few hundred bucks, not thousands. I bet it's fantastic.
More of these please
Proof youtube doesn’t recommend good videos anymore based on the number of views.
Great story, thanks! 👌😀
Cool! I know about Mario Andretti but not anything about Yema. Thx
Thanks for tuning in, Peter.
I have my dad’s original Wesley’s Raylle my dad and Wesley were high school friends
Also have a my dad’s Rolex Presidential personally engraved by Wesley and my mom Rolex friend m Wesley for their wedding presents
Being 15mm in thickness can anyone comment as to the comfort of this watch?

Seiko VK64 inside: pas très français malheureusement !
Nope, it's a Valjoux 7753 - ETA of Swiss Manufacture. PAs du tout un mouvement Seiko mais Valjoux 7753.
Wrong watch. This one is the automatic with a Valjoux 7753 inside
