SECOND SEASON: ua-cam.com/video/baHT2nR5Wr4/v-deo.html A few notes: - We have previously covered some of these battles, but the videos have been outdated graphically and we wanted to present a more clear picture. More battles added, while the research is improved. There will be 2 more episodes covering the expansion of the early Muslim state, and these 2 videos will cover events in North Africa, Iran, Central Asia, Spain, France, and Anatolia among others. - Most of the primary sources of this period are Muslim, but they are largely corroborated by the later Byzantine and Iranian sources. - Speaking of the Byzantines. We used "Romans" and "Byzantines" interchangeably throughout the video. Some people will not like this, but the words are there to convey meaning and if the meaning is communicated, then we are doing ok. - Chill.

Correction: there were a 2 reasons on why Omar relieved Khalid from commanding the Army: 1) A lot of the muslim soldiers started to get the impression that Khalid must be there in order for them to win. Omar wanted to remove this illusion from their heads for their own sake. 2) Khalid wanted to make fast decisions based on his own judgment (Abu Baker granted Khalid the freedom to do so) but Omar wanted to oversee any major movement because he was too careful about Rules of engagements especially after receiving complains from the tribes about Khalid as you mentioned and Omar is known for taking complains seriously and questioning the Commanders, Governors and Businessmen about their Ethics to prevent corruption. Even though Khalid is a righteous man but Omar still does’t like operating in the grey area. Omar’s Nickname is “Al Farouq” which means the one who distinguish between Right and Wrong in even the tiniest situations. Theres was absolutely no animosity between them, just a disagreement.
The third is Umar bin Khattab choose abu Ubaidah to be the general because abu Ubaidah is generous and pay attention to the people of the city that defeated, Khalid bin Walid only pay attention in war, Allah know best
Kanz ul Ummal, Volume 5 page 619 Tradition 14091: Ibn Abi Aun and others narrated that Khalid bin al-Walid claimed that Malik bin Nuwayrah had become Murtad according to the information that he (Khalid) had received. Malik denied this and said: ‘I am a Muslim, I never changed.’ Abu Qutada and Abdullah ibn Umar testified that (Malik is Muslim) but Khalid ordered Dharar bin Al-Auzwar to behead him (Malik). Then Khalid took his (Malik’s) wife. (Umar) said to Abu Bakr: ‘He (Khalid) has performed adultery, you have to stone him’. Abu Bakr said: ‘I can’t stone him; he interpreted hence made a mistake’. (Umar) said: ‘Then dismiss him’. He (Abu Bakr) said: ‘I cannot put the sword back in the sheath'

Actually its a basic history lesson the average intelligent high school senior may first year college student knows by heart as well as western history. As 3rd world some middle eastern countries are they have nothing else but religion and education for any chance at advancement. I went from herein the US to JORDAN for 3 years 7th 8th and 9th grades dudes they were so far ahead in curriculum. You had to litteraly memorize everything it was exhausting and really depressing at the same time. I swear my schedule was school till 3 then a tutor of 3 to 4 hours a day other then my own work. But im happy I experienced that. Honestly our education system is letting us and our children down even in private school. Oh and I was in private school here not public I can only imagine. Basically this is mandatory knowledge to even have an attempt at college. Plus Western history meaning not just the US Europe and far East as well because it was all relavant becausethe Islamic empire spread from Africa to Spain Europe and China
Most of the war build up and events can be read in the biography of Khalid Bin Waleed by a Pakistani writer... Do read it, it's a great read and I think only book about Khalid Bin Waleed considered as the best classic generals by many western and eastern historians
Other arab generals:"Oh no we are outnumbered 3 to 1! What shall we do?!?" Khalid answering:"We send one cavalry unit to make sure that the enemy cant flee!"
38:18 Even the mortal enemies (Romans and Persians) who had been at war with each other for more than half millennium, had to cooperate against the Islamic caliphate. Even then they still lost against Khalid, the sword of Allah.
I think you mean the sword of Satan! Don't call it Islamophia, the facts are right here. I shouldn't be supprised though since you people think burning people alive is justice (Hell) 😂😂. Islam is a supremisist religion and political ideology supported by the Quran and its history of conquest. The main message of your religious text is "accept Islam or else"! Even your prophet tried to convert everyone to Islam or make them face "justice", and you call your religion tolerant?! And you really feel proud of praising a sadist and warlord? Shame on you and your people!!
FYI, Khalid and Omar didn't have any animosity between each other. Omar received Khalid because he was worried that people were crediting the the victories of the Muslims to Khalid's leadership instead of to Allah. He demoted Khalid to signal the Muslim's success didn't come from a single man but from God. Khalid also didn't stop fighting, he just re-enlisted as a foot soldier and kept fighting the good fight.
But... at the time or even hundreds of years before when Byzantines and Persians fought it was in hundreds of thousands, and yet when they talk about fighting Arabs it's "They couldn't possibly gather more than 15k troops. No way."
@@dinsahovic106 Battles of hundreds of thousands were rarely if ever seen in the ancient world. Not until the days of Napoleon would such forces be mustered in any sort of regularity. The ancient Roman Empire fielded perhaps half a million men across all of its territory at its peak but battles would only consist of tens of thousands of soldiers at most. Supply lines were primitive and it was near impossible to put hundreds of thousands of soldiers into battle at one place and time. This video was fascinating to me. In the western histories I've read, the early Muslim conquests tends to be glossed over, usually stressing that the Romans & Sassanids were depleted after their war and thus implying that the Arabs just lucked out and benefited from an easy opportunity. But this video has shown me that they did go up against some massive armies, fought against overwhelming odds, and wouldn't have succeeded without a great deal of heroism and ingenuity. Khalid really is an amazing figure.
His campaign against the Persians is the most epic, he would defeat a Persian army every week and Persians would send another. At last he decided he won't take any prisoners and don't let soldiers flee the battlefield.

The reason Omar Bin Al-Khatab changed leadership from Khalid to Abu Obaida was because most of the major victories were under Khalid's lead and he didn't want soldiers to develop the believe that victory comes because of Khalid's leadership only leading to a major loss of moral in case of his death, and to show them that it was the sincerity and sheer devotion of the soldiers that brought victory no matter who leads.
When Muslims were very few in numbers and were facing an attack from Meccans, Muhammad (pbuh) prophesized that the key to Yemen, Persia, Rome was given to him. He also prophesized that Muslims will conquer Egypt. And all of it were conquered by Muslims within just a span of few years.
Al-Barā’ ibn ‘Āzib (rA) reports that while digging the trench outside Madinah to repel an approaching army, a massive boulder obstructed them and no ax could break it. With time running out, and with people’s fears and hunger growing, the Prophet ﷺ walked over and picked up the ax. He said, “Bismillāh (In God’s name),” and hammered the boulder, reducing a chunk of it to rubble. He said, “Allāhu Akbar (God is Great)! I have been given the keys to Shām; I can see its red palaces at this very moment.” Then he shattered another chunk and said, “Allāhu Akbar! I have been given the keys to Persia; I can see Madain’s white palace.” Then he shattered the last chunk and said, “Allāhu Akbar! I have been given the keys to Yemen. By Allah, I can see the Gates of Sanaa at this very moment from here.” Regarding Egypt, he ﷺ took its conquest for granted, knowing his Lord’s promise was true. Abū Dharr (rA) narrated: The Prophet ﷺ said: “You will certainly conquer Egypt, a land in which [a currency called] al-qīrāṭ is customary. When you conquer it, be gracious to its people, for they are entitled to a covenant and [the right of] family bonds. And when you see two men disputing over the place of a brick, then leave [Egypt].”

Estimates of the number killed by the Spanish Inquisition, which Sixtus IV authorised in a papal bull in 1478, have ranged from 30,000 to 300,000. Some historians are convinced that millions died. in my country In 2017, the Algerian League for the Defense of Human Rights, an NGO, estimated that the victims of the French colonial rule at over 10 million from 1830 to 1962 .not mentioning 17 nuclear boms experiments . please don t tell me our religion is violent

🟨🟨Jesus lived in the region called today Middle east, that's why you should check what historical sources in this region are saying, history is about sources not "theories",Jesus was the Messiah simply a man,a reformer of faith. The majority of people under Romans and then later Byzintines in Syria,Iraq,Egypt,North Africa, part of central Asia and even Goths in Eastern Europe and Spain, and Germanic nations believed in Jesus simply as a prophet of God but Romans and Byzintines under the fast spread of the movement founded by Jesus tried to save the ideology of the impire which is paganism by integrating the new faith into their ideology and this is how "christianity was born" and they forced it on people around the ancient World with persecution, burning religious books and hisorical sources ,all what happened from the 1st century AD till modern era has been about this struggle, nations in what's now called Muslim World and in Spain for some period of time accepted Islam since it's close to their faith and Islam gave them religious freedom and these nations fought with Muslims and this why Islam spread so fast in few years , European nations stood against the Church in Rome and Constantinople but with time the Church was able to spread their political ideology, this period was called the "Darks ages" and it's the Church which made it dark ,later the European renaissace was just an other phase of this struggle. Europeans today have no idea of their true history simply because the "Church" wiped it out .
Keep in mind, several factors worked in the Muslim's favor. Everywhere they invaded had been hit by either civil war or were weakened by constant warfare with another empire. Eastern Rome was weak from losing Egypt, the eastern Mediterranean and Turkey, and from constantly fighting Persia. Persia was also weak from fighting Rome and Arab raiders. Africa was also weak because they had not only civil war, but destroyed their fortifications and crops in the hopes it would dissuade the Muslims from invading, but all it did was accelerate their conquest. I also love how K&G stays as objective as possible and completely avoids any discussion on Muhammad's life or the details on the rise of Islam. "Muhammad started Islam, he died, and then this happened..." lol, brilliant.
It's questionable for me, Why did the Arab Nations call 'Khalid bin Waleed' a "Hero"? 'Khalid ibn Walid' was from the 'Bani Makhzum' tribe of the 'Quraysh' tribe (Of the 29 battles of the Prophet Muhammad, 12 was against the Quraysh tribe. The Quraysh tribe was one of the Arab tribes of Hejaz.) His father, 'Walid ibn Mughira', was one of The most stubborn enemies of Islam. 'Khalid ibn Walid' was one of the 'Quraysh' allies who had the "position of the Dome," meaning the arsenal and ammunition, as well as the position of head of the 'Quraysh' army. He was one of the commanders of the polytheists (pagan) in the battle of 'Uhud' Against Islam and one of the causes of the defeat of the Islamic army in that battle. He took part in all the pagan wars "against" the 'Prophet Muhammad', After (bayʻat ar-riḍwān), they united. In the case of the Massacre and looting 'Malik bin Noireh' Arab tribe, After Massacre 'Khalid' killed 'Malik ibn Nuwayrah' while he was (an Arab and Muslim) then raped his wife that night, and put Malik's head in a pot of food and cooked it! had also committed adultery. also, the Massacres and looting Muslims of the 'Jazima' Arab tribes (The way it was fought was also cowardly, This is another story). in the battle of 'Ullais', 'Khalid Ibn Walid' said if they could defeat the "Sassanid" army in the battle of 'Ullais' (the Ullais region in the al-Badiyah area near the Euphrates River, 633 AD in Iraq), "I paint the river red with their blood" and because the 'Sasanian' Army was defeated( Coup in the Sasanian capital, This is another story); By order of 'Khalid', the people of the city (They were of Arab descent), all of them (Anyone who could not escape the city, children, women, old men) taken captive, By order Khalid They beheaded them And their blood was shed in the river. 'al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba' says" There were mills along the river, by order 'Khalid' They made flour with bloody water for three days and prepared food for the army of 18,000 or more. The dead in 'Ellis' was forty or seventy thousand people. 'Khalid bin Waleed' committed war crimes. he is the butcher of a lot of Arab people (Muslims and non-Muslims). According to Shari'a Law, They should have executed 'Khalid bin Walid'. For political reasons 'Prophet Muhammad' covered 'Khalid' sins And crimes because he needed his services. Khalid Ibn Al-Walid inherited his fathers wealth, who was the wealthiest man among all Arabs, yet him and his two brothers, Hesham and Al-Walid give it all away for the sake of spreading the new religion Islam. He was named (The sword of Allah) by prophet Mohamed peace be upon him and maybe be he didn't die fighting because the sword of Allah can't be broken. Became the Emir of Muslim armies and died leaving behind only his sword and horse. if i have a boy ill name his Khalid without doubt.
@@rahulchavan4088well… that tends to be how that worked. Both Christianity and Islam have very long histories of military conquests, persecution of religious minorities, and forced conversions. They are also the largest religions today so those tactics clearly worked haha

Extra context: In the Qur'an, the holy book of Islam, there's the Chapter of Rome. First few verses talk about the wars between Rome & Persians in the context that Rome was a Christian Empire believing in the God of Bible just like the way Muslims believe. So any defeat Rome had was making Muslims feel bad and the pagans feel extremely happy. Chapter of Rome was revealed after a major victory of Persians over Romans prophesizing a major victory of Rome against Persians some 10+ years later and it happened. Worth reading.
I really hope you reread your history. Khalid Ibn al Walid was not so brave. There’s another man that took the spotlight for his massive accomplishments and also took the banner of Muhammad from Khalid because he put too much fear in the people of Mecca with the way he was flaunting it. Search up Ali ibn abi talib.
Umar RA relieved Khalid RA because people increasingly started to put their faith in him and Umar RA believed that this weakened their faith in Allah. It was not out of any personal animosity. These caliphs were not typical monarchs, but spiritual leaders as well. So Umar (RA) showed the people that the victories were from Allah, hence strengthening their faith.
It's the wrong decision, although I love 💘 umar, what you forget is that the Noble prophet Muhammad s.a.w) and Abu bakr would never have demoted him, sword of Allah, remember..

Regarding Umar RA relieving Khalid from his command, It wasn't due to any animosity it was actually due to the fact that Khalid was winning so many battles at so many fronts in such a short time that the general populace started Attributing victories towards Khalid himself rather than Allah. Fearing that such high reverence of Khalid might lead to some sort of apostasy he immediately relieved him of Command. All though in his later years Umar RA would severely regret the decision citing that had Khalid Remained commander he may have conquered the entirety of Europe and Asia on his own.
@Michael Donato i think Umar RA made a wise decision, because Khalid Ibn Al Waleed was conquering lands faster than the Caliph could keep track of + as @hadi mentioned, his name was revered more than God, for whom he was fighting. It was not out of the fear of him making a separate name for himself that Umar RA gave the decision but the consideration of how his heroics could create space for people to idolise him. Any wise muslim ruler will take this into consideration. Plus, it was because of this decision that he was able to defeat the Byzantines in Syria
@@shuaybmuhammad1037 Let my life be sacrificed for Hazrat Umar ra but he did not make a right decision that time Coz after the death of Saifullah he regretted his decision.Sahabas are not infallible they made mistakes and the best part is they accept it without any hesitation. Hazrat Umar's reign saw Islams rise but the conquests were relatively slower cz he interfered too much in the army's welfare. He sitting in Medina used to give instructions to the commanders like who will be in charge of the left or right flank, where would the army rest when to send reinforcement. Obviously there was no whatsp that time so it took months conveying a single message and this slowed the conquests.
57:16 The reason why Umar R.A change the position the leader of the muslim army was because people start to think if the victory gained by the muslim army due to Khalid bin Al-Walid not because the help of God. So, Umar had to change Khalid with other general to lead the army to teach the muslim that victory is come from God not from a mere mortal.
@TheSpecialistGamerX2 Now, I want to tell you that those Muslims won wars with faith i.e beleiving in God. You think challenging and defeating two empires is just tactical brilliance.
TheSpecialistGamerX2 mate it’s all about faith and belief in god he never lost a battle becoz he was deemed the sword of Allah that is a miracle in itself
Khalid was relieved of his commanding post because the people used to praise him for his constant victories, and Umar the caliph at the time had to remind the people that victory only came from God.

@marouane Attahali you are right howevrr he did say the arabs had more mobility and less armour. The persian army was heavy armoured and are not used to hot desert weather like khalids beduin army also their clothing added to their heavy armour didn’t help hence why I believe this to be true they were more fatigued then the arab army
@marouane Attahali thats the reason why khalid always chose to fight with the desert to his back. But the reasons you mentioned is exactly why the muslim army was more comfortable and more mobile. Yes they lived on dates and water which made supply easier and less heavy than their persian counter parts. Less armour made them more mobile and less tired in the desert than persians who are not used to the desert.
@marouane Attahali It depends hannibals army in cannae was less armoured than the romans but other factors played in. Yes the favour in terms of arms was im the hands of the persian but in terms of terrain was for the muslims more mobile and less armour means faster movement and less fatigue its very logical?..

A Greek Muslim Jonah by name, suggested Khalid to chase the Byzantines after the three days of armistice agreed upon was over. He gave his services to guide Khalid through a short cut route to reach them as soon as possible. According to Muslim chronicles this Greek man Jonah was in love with a girl who was his fiancé and was to be married with him but when the Muslim army launched the siege of the city, the marriage was postponed until peace was restored. Frustrated with the long siege and delayed marriage Jonah came to Khalid and informed him about a weak post on the Wall of Damascus where that night security was to be weak. Khalid with other Muslim warriors climbed up the wall and opened the gates and the Muslim army positioned at the Eastern gate entered the city. Jonah's fiancé on hearing of his conversion to Islam broke the engagement and decided to move with the Byzantines to Antioch. This prompted Jonah once again to go to Khalid. The plan of Jonah was accepted by Khalid: they would launch a pursuit after three days, when the three days grace period was over. The Mobile Guard would dash out in pursuit and go at breakneck speed. On Jonah's suggestion it was decided that all would be dressed like local Arabs, so that any Roman units encountered on the way would mistake them for such and not intercept their movement. Due to a heavy downpour, the Byzantine convoy had dispersed on the plateau, seeking shelter from the weather, while their goods lay all over the place. So many bundles of brocade lay scattered on the ground that this plain became known as Marj-ud-Debaj, i.e. the Meadow of Brocade, and for this reason the action described has been named the Battle of Marj-ud-Debaj, or the Battle of Meadow of Brocade. Jonah and other scouts established the location of the convoy without being spotted and they brought back sufficient information for Khalid to plan his attack. Khalid personally killed Thomas (Son in Law of Emperor Heraclius) in a duel. After some more fighting, Roman resistance collapsed. Since the Muslims were too few to completely surround the Byzantine army and the fighting had become confused as it increased in violence, thousands of Byzantines were able to escape and make their way to safety. But all the booty and a large number of captives, both male and female, fell to the Muslims. According to a chronicle Jonah found his beloved. He moved towards her to take her by force; but she draw a dagger from the folds of her dress and killed herself. As she lay dying, Jonah sat beside her and swore that he would remain true to the memory of the bride he was not destined to possess, and would not look at another girl. When Khalid came to know about this he offered Jonah the daughter of Emperor Heraclius, the former wife of Thomas who died in the battle that day in a duel with Khalid. Jonah rejected the proposal. Jonah died a few years later in the Battle of Yarmouk.

Both Empires were large enough to have to fight different enemy in different fronts while having internal strives at the same time. On the top of it, Arabic leadership were simply more talented and daring than Roman and Sassanian.

Fun fact about Battle of Yarmouk: The reason Khaled sent his cavalry units to block the path of escape on the final day of the battle is that he received reports from his scouts that a sandstorm is heading north from the dessert. Khaled knew arab bedouins being familiar with navigation through sandstorms would give them a decisive advantage against the Romans which outnumbered them 5 to 1. His strategy was to remain on the defensive until the sandstorm arrived. He knew the Romans could not handle the sandstorm because the wind was blowing in the direction of their faces while it would be to the backs of the Arabs. Once the sandstorm arrived, the Romans were blinded and panicked, and the Arabs went on a killing spree. The Romans that tried to escape through the bridge were met by the cavalry unit that sent them to their maker.
This phenomenon happened also in many others battles ,specially in the Qadasiyya battle, which favored the outnumbered Muslims forces immensely, as it started in the third day ,when QaQa Ben Ameur with 700 troops went undetected through the enemies forces ,in order to kill Rostan and his entourage; The killing of Rostan precipitated the loss of morale in the ranks of the Persians Sassanids Zoroastrians forces!

MUHAMMED (صلى الله عليه وسلم/Salutations and Blessings be upon him), was truly the last prophet and final messenger; He was called the Ameen (trustworthy), and was neither a soothsayer, nor a poet, nor a magician, and nor a madman (ASTAGHFIRULLAH) ! Even what you stated is understated , as those early Arabs Muslims were fighting with much inferior war armors ; They had three things in their favors : 1: faith (Eman) in ALLAH (SWT/ سبحانه وتعالى ) , 2: Being the best fighters of that Era ,3: Their swift mobility

There was a sandstorm in the dessert heading north and he knew about it. When the storm struck he knew the Arabs could see better in it and the Romans would flee. So he sent a cavalry unit and blocked the escape route to make sure he killed all of them.

A few notes:
- We have previously covered some of these battles, but the videos have been outdated graphically and we wanted to present a more clear picture.

Correction: there were a 2 reasons on why Omar relieved Khalid from commanding the Army:
1) A lot of the muslim soldiers started to get the impression that Khalid must be there in order for them to win.

Actually there are 3 reason
The third is Umar bin Khattab choose abu Ubaidah to be the general because abu Ubaidah is generous and pay attention to the people of the city that defeated, Khalid bin Walid only pay attention in war, Allah know best
Kanz ul Ummal, Volume 5 page 619 Tradition 14091:
Ibn Abi Aun and others narrated that Khalid bin al-Walid claimed that Malik bin Nuwayrah had become Murtad according to the information that he (Khalid) had received.

By Allah, I can see the Gates of Sanaa at this very moment from here.”
Regarding Egypt, he ﷺ took its conquest for granted, knowing his Lord’s promise was true. Abū Dharr (rA) narrated: The Prophet ﷺ said:
“You will certainly conquer Egypt, a land in which [a currency called] al-qīrāṭ is customary. When you conquer it, be gracious to its people, for they are entitled to a covenant and [the right of] family bonds. And when you see two men disputing over the place of a brick, then leave [Egypt].”

Also, dont forget the last words of the bombing crew that dropped two nuclear bombs that killed millions in japan: "In jesus's name amen"
Now, reverse the situation and imagine if a Muslim leader said that "Allah" told him to invade two countries in lets say Europe and the defense department of his country were giving him reports filled with Quranic verses with pictures of the war.
Or lets say a bombing crew of a Muslim country (for example pakistan) ends their prayer with "In Allah's name ameen" before heading to their bombers to drop two nukes in a european country.

Fun fact: The title of "Caliph" means successor, steward or deputy and it stems from the Arabic word "Khalifa" which means successor or ruler. So Abu Bakr by taking on the tile of "Caliph" symbolically signaled that Muhammad was still the true leader of the Islamic faith and he was only acting in accordance to Muhammad and by extension Allah's will.
tsk tsk tsk ,, 😷😷😷😷
„Khalifa“ is short for „khalifat Allah“ and means „representative (of God)“. That was the title of all Muslim Caliphs until al-Mamun. Only then it was changed to „khalifat Rasul Allah“, „representative of the messenger of God“. See also the book „God‘s Caliph“ by Danish professor Patricia Crone.
@@Spitamenes There's also the less talked about but still historically significant title of "Wahalimarti Khalifat" roughly translating to "Walmart manager" in english. @@Spitamenes well, khalifa "خليفة" in Arabic literally means successor not Representative, so it couldn't be representative (of God),
Amr Farouk That may be its meaning today, but 1400 years ago it was more or less „representative“. In the Quran itself (2:30) the word is used to describe Adam as the representative of God on Earth. Adam could hardly be Godˋs successor. That‘s also why the Shia still consider their Imams „khalifat Allah“, representatives of God, preserving an original Islamic concept that has been lost in Sunniism.

Actually 'Prophet Muhammad' was a partner in the sins of 'Khalid ibn Walid'.
for example, 'Amr' (second caliph), strongly objected to him, called him an enemy of God, and swore that he would kill 'Khalid'. (throwing stones at his head until he died). But since 'Abu Bakr' (first caliph) desperately needed Khalid's powerful army to advance his rule, he defended him and did not impose any punishment on him.
.
In fact, 'Khalid bin Waleed' was a criminal Mercenary in the service of Islam so that Islam could grow and spread with the help of his sword. With this description, 'Khalid bin Waleed' cannot be called a "Hero".
If you look in history books, you will see many such acts. Some audiences criticize what I have mentioned above and deny it, Some people also said that Khalid bin Waleed became a Muslim and all his sins were forgiven by God.
عظیم عرب جنگجو اور صحابی رسول صلی اللّٰہ صلی علیہ السلام۔ اللہ تعالیٰ ان کے درجات بلند کرے آمین
Exactly Bro.. ❤️
It's the wrong decision, although I love 💘 umar, what you forget is that the Noble prophet Muhammad s.a.w) and Abu bakr would never have demoted him, sword of Allah, remember..
@Rashid...it would have no worries if Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was alive but he was not. Omar was worried Khalid (ra )would have been treated like how Shia treats Ali (ra)right now
It's questionable for me, Why did the Arab Nations call 'Khalid bin Waleed' a "Hero"?
I must say that we are not talking about supernatural matters, for this reason, I mention to reference:

Regarding Umar RA relieving Khalid from his command, It wasn't due to any animosity it was actually due to the fact that Khalid was winning so many battles at so many fronts in such a short time that the general populace started Attributing victories towards Khalid himself rather than Allah. Fearing that such high reverence of Khalid might lead to some sort of apostasy he immediately relieved him of Command. All though in his later years Umar RA would severely regret the decision citing that had Khalid Remained commander he may have conquered the entirety of Europe and Asia on his own.
Not sure about the 'later regret part' as it was because of his decision that he could fight in battle of Yarmouk leading it to the unexpected victory
In Islam there is no what if , when it comes to the past , everything happened accordingly as part of Qadr of Allah.

@marouane Attahali exactly, I noticed that too many times.
The plan of Jonah was accepted by Khalid:
they would launch a pursuit after three days, when the three days grace period was over.

@@MohsinRaza-uq2ow , JZK for the info. ! I wish I have time to catch on all the intricacies of all the battles, that the early Muslims engaged in ! The SAHABAS (RA رضي الله عنهم ) were developed and trained , and taught discipline and myriads strategies by the last prophet and final messenger(Salutations and Blessings be upon him/صلى الله عليه وسلم ) !

everyone can do that
It’s mind boggling that the most underrated fewer people fought the two superpowers and the Arab rebellious at the same time and won! Even the alliance of the Sassanid and the Romans couldn’t stop them. I am also amazed by the courageous women that stoned their men to return and fight back while they were in a clear disadvantage. It’s nothing less than a miracle!
This is because Allah was protecting them

One of the amazing things about Khalid's plans were that he was he such a strong believe that he'll win with the will of God that he takes horseman away from his outnumbered army to block fleeing soldier.
Thanks for the details to all who worked on this video, truly an amazing work to put all this information and animation together
"thats why he said may the eyes of the coward cant sleep"
There was a sandstorm in the dessert heading north and he knew about it. When the storm struck he knew the Arabs could see better in it and the Romans would flee. So he sent a cavalry unit and blocked the escape route to make sure he killed all of them.
