So... in at least one episode of Captain Planet. The villains come together and create Captain Pollution. And since Captain Pollution is 'the second character to die in the series' I would have to argue that Captain Planet did, in fact, knock Pollution down to Zero. As far as the 'Power Rangers Curse' let me just lay this out, People die. It's what we do. There's no special way we're required to do so, we all meet a different end, so there really is no 'Poltergeist Curse', no 'Little Rascals Curse', no 'Power Rangers Curse'. They just didn't win their battle against Death. Hey, you should have let me pen this list, you got your Ninja Turtles shirt? Oh yeah, you could do a full 25 minute video just on Eastman and Laird, and poor Julie Strain.
Continuing from Sesame Street, I was disturbed to learn quite recently that Snuffy was originally only visible to Big Bird and nobody else believed him when he told them about Snuffy. The show's creators decided to make Snuffy visible to everyone because they wanted kids to feel they would be believed if they told an adult about something happening to them.
Yes. I remember when Snuffy was first introduced (I'm an original viewer, watching the first episode in 1969). I watched it myself, later with my brothers, then with my step-daughter and finally with my own child. There was some very sophisticated humor on it.
I remember that too, why only big bird could see Snuffleupagus and nobody else could never made sense to me. its like how Oscar must’ve had a huge compartment below his garbage can to fit all that stuff in there, children are not stupid, they know, “that ain’t gonna fit in there!” 😏
Imaginary friends are common. A care giver can observe what the imaginary friend is providing for the child (loneliness, fear, neglect...) and address their needs directly. Snuffy legitamised imaginary friends.😊
When I was a kid most of the cartoons we watched were from the WWII era. They depicted the Japanese as evil, for one thing. But some of the cartoons used classical music. Popeye cartoons…I remember when Bluto was renamed Brutus
I grew up with Bugs Bunny, Yogi Bear, The Jetsons and The Flintstones, to name a few. I’m sure there were scandals and backstage craziness going on there too. Did you really think through just what it might do to several generations who aren’t wrapped too tight anyway? In the end, what does it matter? I had a nightmare life full of attempted murder, physical abuse, sexual abuse, matriarchal domination and other stuff too awful to name. I dealt with it as it came, as best I could and kept going. I was 5 when this all started. Now, at 70, I look at those 40 and under to be wimps. I don’t think there’s one of them that would have held up. Society has opted for not addressing a conflict. Put ppl in a bubble so they don’t get hurt. To me, it’s tragic there’s such little backbone in ppl today.
Excuse me, who are you to tell ppl they wouldnt hold up under that kind of abuse and negativity as a 21 yr old u grew up and survived all of that and much more and for you to just assume that the younger generations arent as strong as you is jus disgusting, i was 3 the first time my father tried to kill me after being caught SA'ing me not to mention all the following assault, abuse, and neglect i had to experience try not to be as insensitive to ppl who you dont know nor would you take the time to.get to know
So "toughen up" is your answer instead of standing up against such horrible things? You're considering people who are fighting to call out and stop this kind of behavior soft? I'm sorry but "toughen up" is not the action needed to stop it, calling it out and holding people accountable is what will change it. Also I'm glad it worked for you (and sorry you had to even do it) but everyone is different.
An oversized head on a cartoon really doesn't indicate hydrocephalus, or anything else. Dora the Explorer isn't the only one drawn that way. Exaggerating the proportions of characters goes right back to the earliest animated films. Characters were long and spindly, their limbs often moving more like limp spaghetti than actual limbs. The Peanuts are a classic (and very old) example of the oversized head style. I don't know why people become obessed with ascribing theories to why things are done.
A major symptom of Down’s syndrome is the size and shape of the eyes, which seem like the stereotype of Asians, which was why those with it were called Mongoloid in the past. Dora’s eyes are big and round. And hydrocephalus distorts the face via swelling. The big head and large features are to depict a child!
I'm a Boomer, but my kids were born in '81 & '85. I never liked Telly Tubbies or Barney, & several other "kids shows" of that era. I didn't let my kids watch them either. I just got a very weird "vibe" from them! Smurfs, Turtles, & HeMan were fine though. No weird vibes there!!
I was born in 81 and my mom let us watch the same but it was more like Teletubbies and Barney was a little later I was a bit too old. But around 10 or so she was working so much she couldn't really pay attention to what we were watching and it kind of got into like 80s action movies like commando and stuff like Ninja turtles in GI joes were big at my house
@@calebsone1630 I thank God that I was a stay at home Mom until just a few months before my daughter began kindergarten. I didn't HAVE to work, but I saw divorce in the future, so I began nursing school in Jan & she began K'garten in August. I tried to equalize HeMan & My Little Pony times, but my son, being the oldest usually saw more of his stuff come up than hers! It's all good now though! I hope you & yours have a Merry Christmas & a Blessed New Year!

Speaking as someone WITH hydrocephalus, Dora would have been treated for her hydrocephalus with a shunt which would have drained the fluid and her head would be a normal size or else she would not have been able to live life the way she did.
I was not a child during the 1990s, but I probably should have been. There was Goldar(the dad), Silvar(mom) and a child that all would turn into rockets. They fought against a crazy looking dude in a spaceship called Rodak. Does anyone remember this show??
I saw the episode of Rocko’s Modern Life where he was a phone sex operator. Yeah, it *did* go over my head. That didn’t take away from the entertainment value of the show.
One thing I will always remember about Fresh Prince and Hubert -- twenty years after she was let go from the show, she actually accused Will Smith of being the cause of her son attempting suicide. She really sounded demented sometimes.

I can’t wait
Thank you. Love your quirky story telling.
I always hated Barney.what a creep.
I always thought dora had a big head because all cartoon characters or most do
You forgot to mention Jason David Francis death. He was the original green ranger in mighty Morphin power rangers.
Poor lassie.😢 but hollyweird has aways treated living things like possessions.
I saw the episode of Rocko’s Modern Life where he was a phone sex operator. Yeah, it *did* go over my head. That didn’t take away from the entertainment value of the show.
I'm pushing 70 and I grew up watching Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry and Bullwinkle. We all know that their creators were subversive! (wink-wink)
I loved Thomas The Tank Engine ❤
14:10 you forgot Green/White Ranger Jason David Frank’s suicide
One thing I will always remember about Fresh Prince and Hubert -- twenty years after she was let go from the show, she actually accused Will Smith of being the cause of her son attempting suicide. She really sounded demented sometimes.
Dope Video!!!
Great video
