THE CAPE FEAR INDIANS ARE RELATED TO MANY TRIBAL GROUPS IN NORTH CAROLINA. MANY MIXED OUT OF NECCESSITY TO SURVIVE.....THE WARRIOR SPIRIT CANNOT BE KILLED....WE ARE STILL HERE.
❤ Priceless 💪🏾 I've done my ancestry. We have a plenty of Indian tribes: Algonquin Tribe of Quebec Canada, Nottoway of North Carolina/ Virginia, Powhatan of Virginia, Cherokee of N.C. & Texas, Atakapa of South Louisiana & Texas, and Shawnee. My family was considered Creoles of Louisiana & Alabama. Europeans: English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Irish, and Netherlands. Two distant cousins married African men in the early 1900s, but I have no direct African ancestors that I've found... At least back to the 1400s and 1500s. If I have to reach almost 1,000 years back to claim something from a single ancestor, then... naw. My family has no right to claim African American. 😕 ...
Tell the truth my brother. Great grandmother Black foot. On my mother's side from West Virginia always remember the stories told of life living on the land up in the mountains.
Wish I could get up with this brother I have a lot of questions there's an old Cemetery in Brunswick County from the 19th century there was an article written up on it called a buried past found in the cemetery they're are some grissett Bryant fullwood Hewett Gore Mitchell's the cemetery is in varnamtown
You speak so much truth. When will native peoples wake up and shed these euro-centric values & return to native ways of thinking? Family, if we share blood then we are family. Our ancestors cry out as we deny our own blood. So many tribes deny our own blood by using these blood quantum rules of citizenship. Now that an awakening is happening, it's time to welcome our family home. These rules are used to keep our nation's weak. Our strength is in our unity & in our numbers.
Where's historical documented profe of a black Indian tribe. Now in certain tribes verb history doesn't of all color slaves as other tribes . So any black is not a full tribal member. Just a half white Indians.
Please don't confuse us with whatever you see on social media with people debating over black, brown, etc etc etc....my family and my family's bloodline is proof of that's what anyone needs to satisfy their curiosity which is why our cousin State tribe is recognized by the State. If documentation is what you need then Google Cape Fear Indians and search. If you really want to know then please research it instead of me easily giving it to you. Since I don't know who you are you could be a troll, a hater, debater or you can be someone who has genuine questions so look it up. I don't speak for people or tribes across the country of people I never met. I only speak about my people, my family my heritage and I think we know our people better than anyone else and especially more than people who are not from here. If this is a genuine inquiry I appreciate your comment and leave you in peace, however if you're just looking to cause chaos then this will be my last word because I don't debate or get into back and forths about things that are not productive and if you want to know more about our indigenous population in North Carolina and neighboring states then Dr (Professor) Smallwood should be a good source (link below ) also read Jack D. Forbes who's another college level expert and Indigenous person who's beyond qualified to answer your question. I leave you in peace, nyaweh disné kowa. ua-cam.com/video/v_hLVO0EOn8/v-deo.htmlsi=SqazwfEVKIU1_PKo

There is no Blackfoot Tribe or culture in West Virginia! The Blackfoot tribe is not Black or Southern! They are from Alberta Canada and Montana! 😂😂😂
I love this!
Cuz so much information is lost but the elders and Ancestors remain with us!
Honor and Respect

All natives aren't natives of this land... Indigenous natives were the first here. Not those Mongolians, Asians, Europeans, and Siberians...
Lame
Hey injun, can you do another more extensive interview with this old fella. He seems to have a lot of knowledge from at least 70 years ago.
Hopefully one day soon when he's feeling better. He's focusing on his health right now.
@@FireWalkerBigCat Is "Unc" doing better? I truly hope so.

Stop doing red face
That doesn't make sense. I think you need to visit one of those UA-cam groups that's into arguing and debating. We don't participate in that.
Dude you have no American indigenous culture, you are more akin to African American culture which ties in to African and Southern Plantation Culture.
Thanks for your comment
