American Indians were injured for trying to pray.
The media is slow. There is destruction at a native american burial site, over 3000 years old. From a housing developer to now a boat ramp. We were there to pray, and an angry mob of people attacked women, children, and elders and pulled out a loaded gun waving it around. We are demanding justice not just for the deputy but his wife, the gunman, and the mob. We are demanding that the Carteret County County Commissoners make a public apology and host a hate crimes forum and education session about American Indians. We are demanding that the Cedar Point Developers reach out to 7 Directions of Service, we are asking for a meeting with the County Commissoners.

If I saw people gathered together I would leave them alone. Seeing people in Iroquoian dress would make me think a ceremony of some kind might be taking place and I would never wish to interrupt. As a human being and a white man, I have to say I would and will gladly stand with the Native American/ Indigenous people over bullies anyday. Now as a son and a father you dont ever and I mean ever put your hands on a lady. Regardless of age or color, you just dont do it. Innocent people not harming anybody.

That's what they're doing. We wanted to pray over it. We didn't protest or go there to start anything like this. This was started by a group of drinking residents who said they didn't care about any of our artifacts. And I guess attacking women and children is ok with you. They did that, not us. We didn't attack anyone. I guess pointing a gun at two women and a 17 yr old is ok with you too. We didn't have weapons. So get your facts straight before leaving half negative comments.
