Eflite Valiant 1.3m With Nav Lights and Bush Wheels

- Опубліковано 3 вер 2019
- Eflite Valiant with Nav Lights from the Flyzone Beaver part number FLZA6288... 13 Dollars. Bush wheels from the Eflite Timber or Hobbzone Super Cub or any Bush wheels you choose. You will need the Axles to go with the wheels. I used the Timber Axles.
Wheels are a nice touch! They look stock if you ask me.
Your Nav lights look GREAT! They seem to work well, even in the bright daylight!!!
Wheel pants always seem to bind up, no matter how awesome they look ;)
Sorry to hear about your losses. Nice thing about flying RC, you can JUST fly RC and get your mind off of "real" life. It's a great way to focus on something different, even if only for a few minutes.
Thanks Brian.....I've been flyin alot and your right it helps keep your mind off of things. The Bush wheels are way better than the stock ones. Horizon should put these on from the get go as well as Nav lights. I'm lookin for a new plane but Can't decide to many out there lol. Id like something bigger scale or a War Bird. Thanks again for stoppin by Brian if you need a laugh check out my videos...
I get it, so many to choose from!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Id like to try something other than Horizon Hobby. I was thinkin FMS or Mulitplex. The 1700mm Cub or the Fun CubXL. But I've never messed with anything but HH and the AR363. What would be a good RX with a Safe or Gyro that will work with a spectrum TX thats easy to set up? However I have a extra 636 from a Valaint that Id like to use as well. Im not sure of theres a Eflite model I can throw that 636 in without programming it? I think programming looks like a pain in the ass.
Lemon-Rx 7 Channel with stabilizer (NOT StabilizerPLUS- I haven't gotten that to work!!!!!)
cheap, DSM2 and DSMX options, GREAT integrated Stabilizer.
If you want an external Stabilizer, the A3-L is a cheap, and effective way.
Check my descriptions (virtually any video) for purchase links, if you want to give me some help with a few Cents per purchase ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thanks for the info Brian I will do that Bud.
I am so sorry, for your loss ..........my condolences to you amd your family ❤ everyone was worried about you glad we got our Miller back hugs
Great modification Miller! I also put bush wheels on mine so grass rolling is much improved.
Thanks for your Comment Bud. I think that Horizon and E-flite should have put Bush Wheels on instead of the wheel pants. The Nav Lights are also a cool improvement. You gained a new Sub as well Sir. Happy Flyin from Butler County Pennsylvania the Birth Place of the Jeep.
@@miller7759 Thanks man! Absolutely right! Function before form.
Miller!!! 💞 We've missed you!!
Hi LP......😉
@@miller7759 Hi Miller...... 😉 I'm so happy to know that you are flying high & having fun. It's so great to hear from you 🌻☺
Smart improvements to a great plane.
Thank you for watching....This is my Favorite Bird in my Hanger. I just got a pair of Dubro Skis to put on Her as well. Happy flyin from Western Pa.
Hey Miller, welcome back! I'm sorry to learn of your losses in the family, but I'm glad you're okay.
It's also great to see your hobby. It would be cool to see some more like this, maybe some videos of you flying them!
Thanks Bud....thats a good idea. Nice Fiero there....It would be cool to see a LS swap done in one.
After losing my little girl I know what your going through, loss is very hard. My condolences man.
Proud of you for cleaning up. No doubt he shakes his head at the mistakes I have made. It seems easy to walk straight, but so easy to drift afar. He's been good to me. My Mom always told me that Satan deals with your head and God deals with your heart. When you clean up you set aside the old ways and it will change you. I'll send you preaching that really touched my heart.
Very nice plane .
Glad to see you... Sorry for your losses.. I understand I had two deaths my father and mother in law... Been very hard.. But glad you are posting again. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Thanks for stopping by...Yeah it's been rough and still kinda is ya know. It will get better for us
Hi Miller! I'm so glad you are okay. I was worried about you. I'm so sorry about your losses. Take all the time you need. We'll still be here when you've ready to come back. BTW, cool plane!🧡
Thank you for your kind words and thanks for watching.
I missed you 😘
Glad you posted though 😉
Hi Miller
Welcome back.
Love your hobby. Sweet.✈️
So very sorry for your loss. Hugs.
There are things that are more important than scam-baiting for sure. Just happy to hear from you again.
Thank you very much
Miller
You are welcome
Plan on getting this bird and doing the same thing you did to your Valiant. Waiting on tiers to come in stock. But I use FMS 182 Trainer LEDs. Hope you have a great flight 👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻 New Sub 😃
OMG.... Miller, you're back!
Hi Jenny Thanks for watching my friend.
You must be really cramped sitting in that thing. " Flying high on the wings of love."
Good to see you, maybe you can fly your plane for us.
Actually on my way to Home Depot right now to get some new bolts and nuts that are longer because I’m trying to put bush tires on but they bolts I have are too short.
Btw, on of my favorite planes next to the timber. I’m using old tires from my dynam primo
Long time, no see, Miller, welcome back, missed you 👍
Yes I know right.....Thanks for Watching.
Nice practical improvements. This is not the easiest plane to spot in the sky.
8:45 "Comparing Valiant to the Timber." - Good to hear your opinions on both.
Hi Miller,
I still see the Valiant on the grass. Looking to see the sky framing your airborne baby lol.
hey great vid...could you do one on the process of how you installed the lights? I would like to do this to my Val,, thanks
How did you get the wheels Tatch proper
I have a set of Timber wheels to put on my Valient but I cant seem to figure out how to get the stock tires and wheel pants off. What hardware did you use to mount the timber tires? Thanks
Remove the two little Phillips screws holding the pants on. Then remove the black allen screw that goes though the wheel..Then use the Axles from the timber. Those pants are pretty easy to remove.
@@miller7759 Thank you, I have trouble with the allen screw, it just rotates but doesnt come out
Hi Miller I hope all is well with you.
So sorry for your loss Miller. Can you tell us what kind of paint you used on airframe and how you prepped the surface? Just ordered the Valiant and the wheels thanks to this video. Happy flying my friend!
Thank you Sir....I used Testers Model Acrylic and for prep just wipe down the surface with Rubbing Alcohol. Your Really gonna enjoy Flying this Bird especially with the bigger wheels. Thanks for the watching.
Can you please put a pic of the axles and wheels
The wheels and axles are from the 1.5m Timber. I switched due to the Timber wheels being much softer. The cub wheels are harder and make a for a bouncy landing on harder sufaces. I'd recommend using the timber wheels and axles they seem to work better. You could also find a bolt and nut the size of wheel hub instead of using axles.
I'm just starting in the RC world and I'm looking for my first plane . Do you think this is a good trainer or is it too sporty , too fast to start with ? There is also the E-flite UMX timber i like a lot ...
Your getting into a real fun hobby....I started with the flight sim then my first plane was the 1.5m Timber. Id recommend the Sim first. Get the muscle memory and the basics from the Sim. It took me about 2 months on the Sim. Make a goal to fly every plane in the Sim flawlessly before the real thing. Thats what I did. Moving from the Sim to thr real thing is also a challenge. The Umx Timber is a Great Little Bird. I fly mine all the time.....Its in my Jeep at all times. So after the Sim Id recommend the Valaint or either the Big or Little Timber for your first plane. The Umx Timber would be a good start. It's easy to fly its easy to repair and modify but so is the Valiant and Big Timber. Id recommend with your first plane to get at least a Dx6 Transmitter. So my recommendation would be to Start with the Real Flight 8 or 9 Sim. Along with the Sim get your DX6E. That way you already have your programmable transmitter for your first BnF Plane. Id recommend Eflite because of the Safe and As3x. Here are a few channels I watch and that have helped me....Brain Philips Captain Robert...Skip Built Rc...Flight Test.....Piolt Ryan Captian Mike. This is a great Hobby...Fair warning here be patient with it your gonna cr ash your gonna get Mad your gonna spend Lots of MONEY. But its all worth it once you get it. Feel free to ask me anything else there Bud I'll be glad to help ya. Happy flyin from Western Pa.
Being this vid is older those lights are discontinued and out of stock everywhere. I'll keep an eye out for some lights may add the them. You mentioned sport cub wheels, you mean the carbon cub?
its now 2022 and the Flza6288 are discontinued, can anyone recommend another model that uses similar bezels because these look awesome thanks.
Id say look at Fms Cub maybe?
No video of you flying your Valiant?
Hi Miller,
I want to see you fly your plane? Please.
Thanking you in advance. Hugs
What diameter wheels and tires did you use?
4inch Sir......From the Eflite Timber.
Hello where did you get the axles for the wheel and how did you instal it
Thanks for watching my friend. I got the axles for the Timber. I ordered the wheels and Axles. However you could also use the wheels and Axles from the Sport Cub S as well. The axles do NOT come with the wheels. You get the main wheels and tail wheel then you have to get the gear hardware kit to get the axles. You also could use and find the correct size screw or bolt to use as a axle too. It was a little pricey to use the Timber Wheels and axles but worth it because it is very straight forward to install and you get everything you need. Just go to HH website click on any of the Timbers or Sport Cub S....Go to the Parts List then click on the Gear and Gear Hardware.
Miller omg thank you so much you are a big help.
I am though kinda confused on what axles you mean
Where have you been? We missed you! 💔
Still here Bud......just had alot goin on the last 8 months...When it rains it pours so they say. Thanks a bunch my friend.
Do the wheel pants come off easily to allow bigger wheels?
They sure do. Makes the Plane look much better as well as handle better on grass or dirt
@@miller7759 True. Wheel pants never look good.
@@richardseaman9086they absolutely do....
Hey Miller, my daughter and her boyfriend were into rc planes and cars. Unfortunately my daughter passed away last year, I have one of her planes now, its a hawker hurricane but I can't keep it running. I have to take it in I guess. I think I'd rather have the battery because those little cox engines are so temperamental, I wonder if I could change it to battery? Something to check out I guess.
Sorry for your loss Bud I feel ya there. The Hawker Hurricane is a good Bird and the real one was too. It was the predecessor to the Spitfire. Electric is the way to go for sure but I'd like to get into the gas. You can swap it electric easy theres tons of options out there. What brand of model is it? Maybe upgrade the engine to a 4 stroke? I have floats for one of my bigger planes and Its a blast to fly off water.
Hey Buddy
Hey Luke......Sorry I haven't been chatting on you guys streams I most Defenetly have been watching you guys still. The new job Im just listening cant get caught on the phone. Thanks for stopping by Bud!!!
What will you call your plane? When you compete, if you will,
Its name is Nuckin Futts
I see you removed your videos. Right thing to do when making the choice to clean up ones life style.

I do agree that we are living in the time Jesus spoke of. Like in Noah's day they did not take seriously the time of their end as Noah and his family no doubt preached.
It is true that each one of us need to exercise our free will to choose life or choose death. Be no part of the world with all its bad practices. I am happy for you. I know you would like to help others to do what is right and this way is better. Tell them about the good news of our Lord Jesus.
I will read the scriptures you cited.
