    Marrok sounds awfully close to Marek, as in Galen Marek a/k/a Starkiller. How interesting would it be if they canonized Starkiller, albeit with a very different backstory, but still keeping with the basic premise that he was handpicked from the ranks of the Inquisitors to be trained as Darth Vader's apprentice in secret, likely because he was taken in as a child and thus was not a former Jedi like so many other Inquisitors, including the Grand Inquisitor. Such a child would be a blank slate for Vader to mold into his desired image, instead of forcing former Jedi now turned Inquisitors to unlearn what they learned as Jedi.
    Of course, this is purely coincidence and conjecture at this point, though I will absolutely freak out if Marrok takes off his helmet and we see Sam Witwer's face underneath.

      This is exactly why I’m almost sure this is StarKiller (Galen Marek). In the games he begins as vaders secret apprentice, and later turns on Vader and actually paves way for and founded the rebellion with the help of a few others. Granted that’s in legends, so Vaders ex secret apprentice, meets and battles with Skywalkers ex padawan. Eventually this character opens his eyes and aids ahsoka on her journey. I genuinely feel like this is how they’re being StarKiller to canon and I’m all for it

      You guys kill me with this thinking man. And actual scene and that made em your favorite character? Most intrigued to see what happens I could get but favorite? That's like choosing Salacious B. Crumb😂(joking)
      But seriously on another note it's NOT obvious that a reveal will happen and this thinking from the fandom I truly think has/does ruin some of your experiences with the projects we get. You've not accepted(not you personally but in general)
      That the Vader is Luke's father reveal was 1 of a kind as there wasn't movie twist like that at the time, and it being the 2nd ever Blockbuster(Jaws was first) it yes was a huge deal! However 1st it wasn't even Lucas idea, and we see he never did *huge reveals* on his own(aside from leia and we see how funny that still remains since she kissed her brother) nor does the properties need them to be good or interesting. New Hope didn't need the reveal, Return didn't need a reveal, it's like a huge part of this fandom has been lead to believe SW and "character identity reveals" are synonymous with 1 another in no other franchise does a person with a mask or yet to be explained parentage HAVE to be related to someone special or already known to us. Why do we keep expecting and demanding it of SW? Why does this Marrok HAVE to be revealed as Ezra or someone else we know especially your belief it's a video game character because that's an even farther stretch. Sam Witwer is 1 of the most prolific voice actors today and in SW HANDS DOWN you know he's been in every game and movie since The Clone Wars/Force Unleashed days? He's the voice of Maul AND Palpatine in Clone Wars, Rebels and games and Maul in Solo, in addition to Starkiller he voiced about 10 other characters in the Force Unleashed games and no less than 50 different character voices including The Son of the Father, son, daughter trilogy and with the show doing what seems like at least a variation of The World Between Worlds and it is Dave's on thing he could be voicing him again rather than Starkiller that'd make no sense to be Starkiller anyway. Nor does it need to be revealed as him in SW having a mask or unknown parents should not mean "REVEAL IS COMING IT'S GONNA REVEAL SOMETHING!"

    I think and hope it's Starkiller. It would be incredibly poetic for Ahsoka, Anakin's apprentice, to face off against Starkiller, Vader's apprentice. Almost like a symbolic representation of Anakin's inner struggle, torment, and torture.
    It also opens the door for a lot of great storylines. First of all, he could actually be the one to kill Ahsoka, which would be quite poetic and build the stakes for whatever comes next with Thrawn and the others. He could also be Thrawn's right hand man, creating a dynamic similar to Vader and the Emperor. And they would be a high-stakes, legitimate threat to the galaxy and a good reason for everyone in the Mandoverse to get involved.
    Also, it could help explain how the First Order rose to power so quickly. Plus, they build "Starkiller" Base...
    There are just a lot of subtle signs - plus legitimate reasons - that this would be an awesome choice for Star Wars. Even if they had to create a more realistic version of the character, I'd be okay with that. He can still overpower Ahsoka and be incredibly powerful in general without pulling a star destroyer out of space lol.

    The series seems to be going out of its way to mention Ezra multiple times for fans who might not have seen the animated series(s). This makes me lean towards Marrok being Ezra. It might take Sabine’s close sibling like relationship to bring him back.

    • @Swearengen1980
      @Swearengen1980 10 місяців тому +3

      That's an irrational jump. Without mentioning Ezra for non-Rebels fans, not one bit of this plot would make any sense to them. It also makes no sense to think Ezra somehow escaped this far away galaxy of unknown location and Thrawn didn't, while randomly finding Baylan and serving him. Not one bit of that makes sense.

    It seems like the inquisitors had been destroyed or disbanded by the point of New Hope. There function wasn’t needed and with defections and obvious ambition that came from there use of the darkside they were dangerous tools. But I imagine even if the inquisitors were disbanded you would have still had one or two left over. This is interesting since that we have a nightsister, a dark jedi and a inquisitor all working under imperial control and yet they were not employed in hunting down luke skywalker or the millennium falcon. Also they have a very real understanding of the pathway to another galaxy and are Allies of thrawn my guess is that this was a unit sent into the unknown regions were simple navigation requires force sensitivity. They would have naturally been working at least with Thrawn if not directly for him. This would mean they would not be present for the fall of the empire and on there return would represent a powerful remnant faction among those that new of the sith.

    I love how badass Ahsoka is when it comes to fighting the Inquisitors (it’s like she doesn’t break a sweat & it’s awesome) I think Marrok is either Barris Offee or Ezra Bridger. I say Barris because she was a Dark Jedi & Marrok is working with Baylan & Shin (Who are Dark Jedi/Mercenaries) & I say Ezra because it would be an interesting plot twist to the series👍👍

His plans are to take over the galaxy from Palpatine, he’s gonna need an elite guard/enforcers, so why not make Ezra your first as a “fuck you, I’m back” to Ahsoka and Sabine.

    Also don't forget. Marrok as a survivor would also be getting better merely by surviving. Constant battle would improve his skills much like Ahsoka herself. Both of them were was no longer receiving formal training so any increase in skill and force use would be 'self-taught' through experience. That said all force users have a ceiling and clearly his is pretty high to progress so far as to be able to go toe to toe with Ahsoka for as long as he did.
