Wrist abduction(rising in this context) is the reason why he never gets supinated. Pronation definitely plays the part but the extensor carpi radialis brevis and longus muscles are responsible for his immense hand strength that makes it hard for his opponents to curl him inwards. If you have ever seen his workout, he does a lot of heavy-weight wrist abduction with several reps. Pay attention to his forearm closely. These muscles are just situated below the brachioradialis and extend towards the brachialis. Anyone who has studied forearm anatomy can identify the extensor carpi radialis brevis and longus muscles.

@@thatarmwrestler My friend You don't know much about armwrestling, devon was max out his pronation and levan was able to go through his pronation, thats why his bicep got tored, it's very simple to understand, devon keeps his pronation against levan at east vs west thats why he had no injury in the bíceps.

I think he knows his bicep is technically a weak point. If he can use his hand/wrist to keep position and his power attached to his frame, he's good. If he's forced to take someone on with his arm (which is guaranteed in a supinated position) prior to having them into his shoulder and pulled away from theirs, he knows he'll just lose. So he built up his pronation to the point where people can't force him onto just his bicep. If he's losing, it's straight up because the other guy was too strong overall, not because he couldn't handle his hand and wrist.

5:51-6:08:pronation may only account for 10 percent because in your example you forgot one thing devon has a stronger rise and longer lever than ermes and his hand is stronger than ermes but in the georgi case devon's cup was only neutralized because georgi has a extremely strong hand qmd hos rise is nearly just as strong as devon and according to devon he was around 10-15% weaker than his peak at that time we have to account that also so in short you gave a useless example
if he was focusing not to "POP!" in pronation lift but to full range of motion in that degree. maybe but mayybee he could've done more against Levan

I'm not a big guy by any metric, I'm actually quite small. 5'9" carrying 250lbs when genetically I should be carrying 150ish. But life choices growing up made me fat and now I'm just too lazy to lose weight. But small or big, I've always had a natural talent for arm wrestling and if I had actually trained I'd of done well. Not Devon larratt well, but I can hold my own even though I'm in the worst possible shape a human could be in. My other stupid human talent is holding my breath for minutes on end...
Why does everyone say Levan got suprised by Devon in rnd 1. All that happened is he stonewalled and let Devon work, like a training sesh 😂
Because he did. Levan said he lost hand control that first round which is why he decided to flop press. However, he also said Devan appeared to be gassed out after that.

Devon is strong mostly when he compete in heavy weights. His performance is declining in middle weight division.
Really wish he wouldn't have fought Levan like he did the second match. No way he's going to be able to hold him in that open arm position. Wish he would have applied some more back pressure or engage more. Big let down. Way more interested in seeing someone else fight Levan. And they should have a rule that if you can't finish the match, you can't win the match...
