    Yep I just went back and checked Devon to be sure. He puts the strap over his knuckle. He also lifts it straight up. You are not you have the strap way too far down your wrist. And you lean back wedging your elbow against your thigh. Again you are letting your ego get in the way of doing the lift properly. That is not impressive not at all. Do it properly if you want to impress anybody.

    When riser fails pronation defends, when pronation fails cupping defends, when cupping fails riser and pronation defends. When that has all failed you get your shoulder behind your hand and yell "his elbow!"

  • @nickd.7267

    Devon trains a reverse karate chop motion essentially. It's entirely offensive to break through somebody's hand attack the thing is if they're cupping is stronger than your pronation then your riser doesn't matter because your hand is going to get turned. Attacking with riser is a make or break. You'll either have everything or nothing.

      Not exactly. In straps a strong post and rise through the strap will crack a strong cup without pronation being the main factor. Devon needs straps for his style.

    I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times. 78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways. 81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times. 88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders. 92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified. 99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations." 102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." .....2 Esdras 7:75 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    you are clearly very good at understanding anatomy and biomechanics. Devons style is very unique and its internesting to hear the analysis you give. I'm a sports performance and rehab specialist and i've just started training for arm wrestling. It would be super helpful if you also made videos on someone with a different style, maybe like daniel procupcic. On his channel he explains things in detail on the vectors and how he trains. An analysis on what specific strengths he has developed because of the specificity of his training would really help people like me understand what vectors to train and how. For example, even with all my knowledge about the anatomy and mecahnics, its still quite complex to figure out how much the brachioradialis is contriburing to pronation at various elbow flexion angles vs pronator teres/quadratus. Thanks for the content. Love the videos.

      @@armsport128 makes complete sense. Definitely the right way to grow your channel. Keep it up dude. This is right now the only channel that explains arm wrestling mechanics with a ‘complex things made simple’ approach. What’s your take on hand training. Multiple times a day? Robust tendons and neuromuscular activity need high volume loads. Decreased blood cell count in the forearms also means training frequency needs to be much higher. Etc etc… And finally. I’m still trying to grasp the concept of hand extensors vs flexors for arm wrestling. I currently see it on the surface as retraining neuromuscular patterns to use your hand without much involvement of the extensors. Thanks a ton 🙌🏼

    I haven't watched the video yet, but the title alone sounds like a lot of disinformation, just to please Larrat fangirls. I'm gonna edit this comment later, this day, after watching this video entirely. Edit: i watched the video, and i have to admit that there are thongs that you said that makes sense. *_But_* : 1st: Devon's pronation lift is different from Ermes' backpressure lift. I would like to see Devon replicate same Ermes' lift and see how good he does. I still think that he won't get close to Ermes' pr (world record on that lift), andit would be very good if he could achieve 75 kg (the same weight he did in his pronation lift). 2nd: Levan wasn't applying sidepressure in 1st round. He applied it in at the start, and then stopped to apply sidepressure, and tried to regrip and regain control over his hand. When he understood that there was not much he could do, he gave up his wrist completely and hang all his bw on Devon's arm, and Devon couldn't hold that just like Ermes did. This clarifies point 1. 3rd: you're not talking about all the advantages that Devon takes in the setup in order to get that hand control. As Levan said, Devon always "cheats in the setup". And this clarifies why Ermes was constantly breaking the referees grip in his match with Devon. Devon is a very experienced and clever armwrestler. He knows a lot about the sport, and his strongest point is the setup. He knows how to not get "busted" by the refs. Levan said that he let Devon take *all the advantages_* he wanted in the setup, still ut wasn't enough. 4th: Georgie isn't even top 5. And clearly his arm wasn't as good as Ermes one was. For sure Georgie's wrist was better than Ermes, but just like Ermes, Georgie wasn't able to fight Devon in the setup.

    The secret is gaining elbow flexion via pronation, no one can contest him in that lane nefore the Levan match, Levan can match it that's why it became nonfactor. And Devon's back pressure and side pressure via bicep and forearm strength isn't as elite as Ermes or Laletin, hence Levan walk through him once he successfully bypass his pronator and riser

    • @eddie0Fll
      @eddie0Fll 5 днів тому

      Devon has a very strong wrist, but in terms of armpower (sidepressure and backpressure), Levan, Ermes, Lalentin, Kurdecha and even Morozov are way too much stronger than Devon... Once that Devon's wrist can't take over his opponent wrist, he can't do nothing except going into desperation move. It was clear in the Levan's match. 1st round Devon caused problems to Levan's wrist, so Levan decided to apply sidepressure and hang all his bodyweight on Devon's arm just after flop his wrist completely and switching to a press. In all the other rounds, Levan was enough comfortable with his wrist to go sideways from the start, and indeed Larrat has been completely powerless. It's clear and simple. Larrat style is based on taking hand control, and deny his opponent to use his full strength by compromising their wrist (just like against Ermes). Larrat never focussed his trainings on armpower because of this. It's his style, it's how he likes to pull. I don't like it too much because he resorts to taking waaaayy to many advantages in the setup and use desperation move when his wrist is not enough strong or he can't take the perfect setup (just like against Levan, because his hand is way too big and difficult to grip up).

    Where or how did you come up with an idea that the new armwerstler should not train specifics but only compound movements while going to practice 1-2 times a MONTH? If you start jiu jitsu, you go there as much as you can. If you start boxing, you box as much as possible and specifically build cardio to that sport. Why would you do only full body stuff while training for armwrestling? That will clearly not result in the best results. Especially 1-2 times a month on the table is outrageous. If you took it seriously, you would try to be on the table almost everyday learning the technique and neuromuscular connection, same as if you wanted to progress in squat only in the shortest amount of time, you would only squat.

      😂😂😂😂 Indeed right after Levan gave up his wrist completely, and *_started_* to apply sidepressure, Devon arm got opened like if it was butter 😅 Devon really had a lot of armpower, for sure much more than Ermes that *_actually_* blocked and held Levan more than once with brute armpower strength😅😂🤣🤣🤣 Great comedy👍
