Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video! I just got hired as a tech at an optometry office and this really, really helps. Excellent tutorial!
I had to deal with these machines many times, I was unable to focus on it, even though i seen exactly what I was looking at, a hot air balloon, I believe my eyes were too slanted, because they couldn't read my eyes either, and they kept telling me to open my eyes :v but, they eventually gave up, and they took me into room where i had to talk to doctor, look at his machines, then he gave me an eye drop in both eyes, that dilated my eyes, very unfortunate experience, it blinded me. But they determined one thing, and it's that i am very much blind as a bat. Thanks Dr. (Whatshisname)!
hai, while doing the checking eye-process why it is instructed to do closing eyes tightly for 3-times & by doing this what can be identified? why because just now I did my eye check-up and I am instructed to do like that, so want to know the reason behind that.-bye - B.LALITHASRINIVASAN-MYLAPORE-TN.
It is used to check the refractive error of the eye (power of the eye) Blinking makes the tear film to spread all over the eye so that correct power can be noted by the machine
I still remember when I had this test. The doctor was surprised o the hogh grade of my eye. Then I found out that I have lazy eye/amblyopia. That's why I feel sad whenever I see this eye machine.
Of course you only believe your own results, when you measure using your own refraction, by using your own Test Lenses. Does anyone actually check this way?
The autorefractor only gives an estimate of what your glasses prescription should be. The manifest refraction fine tunes your prescription in order to check if you agree or disagrees with the autorefractor

the sounds from the machine give me not so pleasant memories from having to do this test when I was like 10 lmao
What do you do if your machine detects a cataract, or doesn't read anything in general?
I liked how he moved the machine with his hand and the joystick moved why does all the patients get to control the machine not the doctor

Please make a video on- how to measure base curve in Auto refractometer?
Thank you for the detailed explanation!

The autorefractor automatically determines your approximate glasses prescription. Helpful technology

Is it necessary to dilate the patient beforehand?
Which is best for refraction AR/streek retinoscopy
Both have about the same accuracy.

Hmm couldn't he have raised the table before the patient's head was locked into the refractor?!
I think the doctor knows what he's doing lol
What's the full name of this machine
Does this machine have small amounts of radiation? And if done to much, can It cause macular degeneration?
Prinsa kya h
Why does it make that noise not the beep but the other noise when he's taking the photo

Good presentation
Medicare does not cover it.

Why do all eye testing computer have a joystick why arnt they just powered by so
Why dont the patient get to control the ma CH inequality and it would be if they were controled through Ai
Eye testing computer no ma CH inequality that was a mistake
By AI
These machines are cool but l they are pretty expensive not that bad tho
