We were the buyers! And yes Patricia slip the bad word out. It was a bust and yes the Tiffin Phaeton’s was on our vision board. But that’s ok. Pierre and Laurel did another inspection for us and it looks like we will be getting 2018 Tiffin Allegro Bus. The problems are fixed and we are picking it up Saturday morning. After we check to make sure are issues were fixed . New Windshield was already installed 2 days ago along with some other things. Fingers crossed!! Thank you Blue Ox
Slides, never trouble in our Triple E, always trouble in the last unit (Montana) to the point we sold it quick and looking for a no slides unit. Live and learn.
Tiffin is suppose to be one of the best built brands. What a piece of. junk!!! Great job, your services saved your customer from making a really big mistake!
If everybody would do their research, you'd realize that over the years they've been getting worse and worse, just like your cars. Just like your washer and dryer, everything is inferior. There's no quality control anymore. Welcome to your American dream!
That's a lot of expensive repairs. Apparently the original owner gave up on trying to use the warranty and is now trying to dump it on the next buyer. And they can't be unaware of it. Wow.
Once again the ELITE RV inspection team of America saves a buyer from making a mistake. How buyers still don’t get a third party inspection is beyond belief. BlueOx ROCKS!!!
I have to think that a buyer that has never seen your videos would never have caught 1/2 of the items you found. Glad the buyers found the BEST inspection team out there. Great inspection and video.
That sounds like a junk schwintek! No wonder the slide is jacked up! We got rid of a rv because the schwintek slide was junk, and it was brand new. Good inspection!!
Wow! Great work guys! We absolutely love following your channel. Great information and it is outstanding on how you dive into these RVs. When we get ready to purchase - we will be reaching out to you both. Thank you and safe travels.
Great inspection and great instincts. I completely agree with the gut feeling theory and my wife will remind me about it if I start to waiver on a shiny penny. Thanks for another awesome video. 👍🏼😎
U mean Friday build… the workers just wanted to be done and head home for the weekend so it got some crappy work…. Monday is when they are not in a rush and do it properly.
I’m goin crazy with so many bad new from all over many RV manufacturer. My wife and I was so close to buying what we call our budget investment. We were looking to buy out right a $300,250. Dollars RV home, No more then that! And he we are learning of the big mistakes we would have made if we would have purchased this type of investment. Frame flex, roof water leak, bad quality material. How is anyone going to trust these dealers that unfortunately don’t know what the manufacturer is sending them for an RV headache! 😳🙄
Definitely a bust. I ALWAYS stand outside, knock 3 times on the window, then my wife presses the slide button while I watch the 2 slides go out or come in. So far the ole 2004 Keystone Challenger has not let us down. I’ll keep cleaning the hydraulic cylinder and seals and keep right on a watching.
Hey blue ox great video. My comment is totally unrelated. Just wanted to let you know I just had a person inspect my new motorhome last week that you guys went to school with,Mike Sklach. I had talked to you guys in the fall last year but the timing, logistics and distance was just too hard to pull off for us. Mike actually said you guys did his inspection on his first motorhome also. 😊
Yep! He actually told me; " if someone can do the job right, it's you" It would have been cheaper for him to fly down from PA to GA...but he wanted it done right 🤣🤣
It's fixable. Looks like the end stops and the slide aren't set right. The crack, however is a design flaw. The loose stuff inside can be fixed. I saw the $299,000 sign and think that none of this stuff should be present at this price and age of the RV.
I WOULD BE PISSED OFF SPENDING $299,998 dollars and having these problems, then having to work with unethical people who make up lies to get out of the mess. Great job Blue Ox, your work saves many headaches.
I, Rick, always told my kids that you can hate what somebody has done but don’t hate them. There are so many things that could have influenced why that person did what they did. Bust
Another Bust!!!! Wow did you see the price cuts at the Ocala show last weekend? Some of them were 50% off...soon it will be these companies will be auctioning them off to the highest bidder and people will still have a big hunk of junk. Sad situation the RV market has gotten into.
Never want anything built on a Monday.....or a Friday 😂 Seems to me that if they took a little more time on final inspection at the factory most of these problems could be avoided. And little problems quickly turn into big problems. Would love to see the end result of how these dealers deal with all the problems that are found during an inspection. I bet they would never want to appear on a video 😆 I really enjoy the videos....great job as always. 👍
The problem with a lot of them, the dealer don't even get to know all the problems. Customer just back out of the deal and dealer puts it back on the market for the next blind sucker not using an inspection team. We do not share with seller our findings. The customer owns the report. Seller didn't pay a dime on that report 🙂
They do not 🙄. Driver parks it in the back, brings paperwork and keys, and leave. I don't think they would even notice if a window or the fridge was missing 🤔
BUST, No go, why can't anybody ever see that the sideouts are out of adjustment at the factory!!! That just doesn't happen by itself??? Unless it get hung up on something going in or out, I think you would notice that I hope???? And the overhead compartment you couldn't see that? WOW!!! Good call on this one!!!
Lets say it was fine leaving the plant. Delivered 800 miles later at dealership, and nobody goes through the unit. Remember what PDI stands for? This is why I recommend an inspection! Too many humans involved in the process and none of us are perfect 🙂
What year is this (or did I miss that)? You say the owner sold after 11 months and it's 2024, so is this a 2023, 2022, 2021? Below the prospective buyers instead bought a 2018, so is this a COVID build? Was Tiffin quality that much better in 2018?
I see by the sign on the microwave that the unit is listed at $300k. Those issues pointed out in the vid will develop into something worse long-term. This unit would be a no-go for me. Would the potential buyer have purchased the unit if they didn't have the inspection ...
Since Tiffin sold the business, the quality has crashed but that’s the worst “quality” I have ever seen in a Tiffin. I bet the family is wishing their name was no longer on the product!
New channel name suggestion...'Blue Ox On The RUN AWAY...FAST!' LOL. Wow, what a pile. And for $300K? Holy $hit man. Almost seems like the MORE you pay, the WORSE the quality! Shouldn't that be the other way around? I paid $51K (MSRP $63K) for my 2021 Flagstaff 5th wheel that's been flawless! That motorhome is junk, made for people who have to show off and have the fanciest top of the line stuff, even if it means the slide falls out into the parking lot or cabinets fall off while going down the road. Eh, just glue it back up there, who needs attached cabinetry anyway? Curious, do you guys ever find any good ones? Oh wait...I think I've seen that video...😅.
I never purchased a vehicle that was built on a friday afternoon or monday period ...and in closing, my grandfather taught me in 1955 that me,myself and I was another name for the 3 stooge s ❤❤❤❤
I really doubt this coach got out of Tiffin this way. This probably had to have the slides adjusted and the person that "adjusted" had no clue what he was doing... I have seen that: they pull the trims and fasteners put and when they assemble it back, they put back only 1/2 of the screws they took off .... The money part, for me, is the easy part to announce and justify. The emotional disappointment, is the hardest part to deal with, as customers were already seeing themselves in it! We don't get used to " the call " 😁
You were leaving when?? Not with this one ever! Another PDI the equals probably didn't inspect.. Or maybe they, the dealership, thought they could find a person who wasn't smart enough to hire a great inspection team. Folks I can't say it enough always get a inspection done. Be smart like this customer was.
Tiffin is horrible and there are many horror stories of their clients being stuck for months waiting for repairs to begin. Grandson Tiffin is busy messing up his granddad’s reputation. Buyers must avoid Tiffin, of any RV for that matter.
Yikes, another Tiffin with issues. So sad to see how a reputable manufacturer cant get their act straight and get quality control squared away. I know everyone point a finger at Thor BUT same people in Red Bay are building these and the lack of pride shows. Lol bloopers and Pierre.

Tiffin is suppose to be one of the best built brands. What a piece of. junk!!! Great job, your services saved your customer from making a really big mistake!
Tiffin is not Tiffin anymore. Thor pulls the Strings and they are all about Low Quality and High Profits. (Except for this week)
We like to think so 😉
If everybody would do their research, you'd realize that over the years they've been getting worse and worse, just like your cars.

Wow.

They might still believe in 🎅 Santa 🤣
What a shame for such a nice unit to have those problems. Good thing they called you!! 👍
Another money pit avoided 🙂
Its hard to build any thing when you are hooked on meth
I wouldn't know 😉 never tried it 😁
Wow, that was a crazy slide! So glad the buyers decided not to go with that unit. Great video!
If one doesn't maintain their unit, the next owner might get into an unknown money pit if they are not aware of the real condition!
The amount of time you guys spend on inspecting units is just amazing! You are so knowledgeable and not afraid to share it. Which is amazing! ❤
We are humbled by your comments 🙏
Ya gotta love Schwinteck slide units.
I have to think that a buyer that has never seen your videos would never have caught 1/2 of the items you found. Glad the buyers found the BEST inspection team out there. Great inspection and video.

Beautiful coach. The slides are a big disappointment. Hopefully someone can resurrect it. Good catch👍

2018 is typically of consistent higher quality then more recent years like 2021-22 considered Covid Era builds.
