    TP-Link have done a great job with the AC750 Wifi Range Extender, as it is pretty simple to set up, it has a nice web interface and performs pretty well. Of course, you don't get the fastest speeds in the world, but it does a great job at letting you increase the range of your wifi signal, especially if you are stuck with a BT Home Hub like me!

    It's pretty good, I just setted one up and it's great! I used to have 1 or 2 bars in my room, now it has 3 or 4 bars!

    Is it useless if there is (concrete) wall between the router and where I plug this device? The router is in my room and we would be putting the extender in our den which (around 3-5 meters distance) but the the walls of my room are made of some type of cement/concrete. Will this render the device useless or will it still be a great help?

    My LED indicator for the distance between the extender and the router shows red, though they are 6 meters apart,
    1) how can I fix it ?
    2) will it affect the internet speed?
    thnx for the video

    So the WPS setup won't work for me and when I try the other one I don't see the extenders network to connect to. Any suggestions?

    My biggest problem with this was it won't let me change the channel and channel width, so in a Wi-Fi busy area with lots of Wi-Fi devices clogging up the channels, it's frustrating as it looks like you could change it, but you click on the drop down menu for the channel, it currently says Auto, but the button does nothing, it's disabled! And there is no new firmware for this extender, so that's it basically, it will always be slow in a busy residential area.

    If I name the Wifi Extender's SSID the same as the Router's, when I walk around the house, does the phone automatically switch back-and-forth to the strongest signal? Thanks!

    • @TechteamGB
      @TechteamGB  6 років тому

      It should do yes. Make sure the password is the same though!

    Pushing the WPS button on my router and the wifi extender did not link them. :(

    • @TechteamGB
      @TechteamGB  9 років тому

      Try connecting a pc to the extender directly via the ethernet port on the bottom!

    In terms of range, how does this one compare to the TP-Link RE200? Because it has external antennae, I suspect it has a larger signal range.

    • @TechteamGB
      @TechteamGB  8 років тому

      +mote99 I don't have the RE200 to test with, so can't fully say - but I assume there will be a decent increase - as well as better 5GHz usage.

      +TechteamGB I see. That's what I suspect too. Anyway, thanks for the quick reply! :-)

    I have a large space and would need two of it. It is possible to link two in line? router -> repeater -> repeater?
    how to configure this?
    thank you.

    • @TechteamGB
      @TechteamGB  8 років тому

      +Michel Polity You should be able to, as 1) they won't have any overlap (or at least they shouldn't) 2) you can just setup two different SSIDs (i.e WiFi_Ext1 and WiFi_Ext2)

    1.) Press WPS (WiFi Password Sync) on your router
    2.) Plug it in, press "Power"
    3.) Press "RE"
    4.) Connect to your new wifi

      so I did all that but I’m not seeing a new option on settings to connect to the extender network so I’m confused

  • @Whoshotmyrifle
    @Whoshotmyrifle 4 роки тому

    Kind of a crap device because it keeps disconnecting from the 5ghz signal whilst devices further than the extender are able to maintain connection.

    lol u guys,he even did it wrong,he has to connect it to a wall socket alone and then to do the rest :P

    • @TechteamGB
      @TechteamGB  6 років тому

      This isn't a powerline adapter, so no you don't.

    • @tamertbaqw
      @tamertbaqw 6 років тому

      the instructions says that u have to put it on a wall socket alone,pls I use these kind of things for 2 years xD

    • @TechteamGB
      @TechteamGB  6 років тому +1

      Does it explicitly say that you can't use an extension lead? Either way, this one is still perfectly functional since the power connection is only used to power the device and nothing else. Data is only delivered through the WiFi antennas, and therefore makes it unnecessary to plug it directly into the wall. If you look at the date of this video, you'll notice I've been using this for 2 years too. Usage time =/= knowledge of the internal tech.

    • @tamertbaqw
      @tamertbaqw 6 років тому

      Whooever u ask when u buy this they will say u have to put it in a wall socket alone so it can work 100% perfect,putting it in not a wall socket lots of times there is a 70% chance it wont work perfectly,I did that mistake too,I didnt believe them but when I putted it alone it did work for me and for lots of others too,anyway to whoever it doesnt work,they either have a bad router or they didnt put it in a wall socket,thats all from me
