Thanks for letting know about the armor problem. We notice that this is not a problem with the ships simply because of the insurance. So a solution might be if CIG creates an insurance for the armor. You can go to Spectrum and under Ideas you can give the idea of an insurance for armor.
That issue with you not being able to get some of the total amount of credits back after melting an item must only be an issue with the tax system in the UK. Ive never had that issue on the US side.
this is because you buy things in pounds but they melt into dollers. Even if you set your currency to pounds the melt always gives dollers which are worth less.
When you look into a game like WOW... There are items listed as "Bind On Account" this item can only be used on 1 Character, even if the player has more then 1. What should happen here is. Anything you as the account holder decides to spend "Real World Cash" on should be deemed to be "Bind On Account" and as such can not be lost by wipe or body loss... Like falling into a 'Glitch'. Even If you are killed on mission and looted, an insurance claim should see it returned. But... Anything a player uses "In Game Cash" to buy is not "Bind On Account" and can be lost. Now... There is also a way to get these items back, if you buy insurance on an item... Which costs "Real World Cash" to buy, and not cheap, you can have items returned in time. This can be allowed only on certain items as well.
You get the pledge value, tax not included and you don't pay tax when using store credit or on the portion covered by store credit because you already paid tax on it
Problem with the one use Armour and in general why we can't have nice things is exploiting. If you could get them easily back the items would be duplicated on mass. They have to find a system to check if a set is really lost and then reset it to your account.
@johnlesterr8927 i don't share this view. At this moment (and there a ton of disclaimers and hints), we primarily pay for Star Citizens development. If someone wants first and foremost a product for his/her money, Star Citizen is not their game, at least yet. And should wait till SC releases. When spending money on SC with another mindset, then support the development is a recepie for disappointment.
@@665Jan83 I mean, disappointment continues to be a real bitter tonic lately in the SC development cycle. I just want them to address the problem, be open about it, if we are only getting limited retrieval based on what is civilian or not then say that. Cig knows this is a problem, yet the most recent armor pack is yet another shovel load deeper into the hole with how the Pembroke armor comes with a F55.
@johnlesterr8927 of course, i can see and understand the expectations and the disappointment if they are not fulfilled. Im not free of this myself, but that is kind of the point of my answer before. I and you have a very limited influence on the development besides financing it. And of course, i want in the long run results as well, but i don't think this is on the list of problems very high. There are more urgent matters, and we will have to wait a bit longer until they figure out how to prevent misuse of a replacement system. And really, i spend a little bit more on this game that said in my mind all the money i have spent is lost. I don't hope they close the doors tomorrow, but i made already my peace if so. We all know the risk im founding a idea. If it goes wrong it is the same if i put the money in a startup. Of course if CIG is successful i won't get any money back but hopefully good time and to an extent i have already good time for my money. In no relation to the amount i spent, but we are dreamer's otherwise we wouldn't write here under a SC video.
You get it back every major patch and they are working on a system where you can get the paid items back; its just got a problem at the moment where their solutions atm are resulting in situations where people are able to duplicate the armors infinitely
@@ThreeGoddessesstop it, we have been hearing that since 2016, what yr is it now? Ppl dup ships but thats no problem but lord forbid i dup some purple armour.
Just to state something going on for the new people. For the last year or so ships that have been released with certain stats and components after sales have been gradually getting nerfed to uselessness, after they release a ship with increased stats, speed, and compononts. They have aggressively been doing this harder for the last 4-5 months and now in (spectrum) their own chat servers people are calling them out and are rightfully mad especially after the redeemer and corsair nerf only to find the paladin released with same characteristics and loadouts as the nerfed ships all to push sales. Well sales have taken a huge hit and are down 9% thats millions. So they are now going tk the chats and deleting posts that are speaking against this. Hundreds of posts with thousands of likes mine included, all to silence and hush what is happening. Now they have threatened to ban my account if i keep going. Beware before you buy anything, they are in a suddent change and its all for money not for the player. Ships are getting nerfed tk uselessness and the money youspent in it means nothing all under the umbrella of "alpha" You do with this info ehat you want.

they ARE adding a variety of ways to get the armor back and improve it, but they are having issues with it becoming an accidental dupe exploit
thank for the weapons reminder, I always forget to top up on rail guns
The light up Sketchers are sending me lol

BIS and the armours look like CIG let the colour blind intern do the paints unsupervised while everyone else is working on 4.0
I was honestly hyped to get a new paint for the Lightning when it won best in show, but with this scheme I'd frankly just rather run the default grey.

Sounds like they shouldn't have sold the armor then. Their problem

Why would that be a problem?

The F8s' position on the floor bugs the heck outta me.
Dang it looks like Grimace came by and vomited all over the showfloor
happy easter! (bis)
The paints and armors are the absolute worst ever!
hopefully they add insurance to these armors
Not only do they not come with backpacks the RSI store does not fully disclose what happens when you lose armor. It is predatory to me.

Muh Gawd ...
That armor. 🤮
You can get it back, either fly back to your corpse and see if it's there or wait for a patch update.
Yet we get our ship backs? Been 9ys now and still waiting for a recovery system like we have for ships.
@mayoluck they were supposed to release it together with item banks, they were having problems and held it back.
