Happy Monday from super sunny Copenhagen! Let me know where you are tuning in from! 👋🏼😍🎉Are you a minimalist, maximalist? Whatever your style, life is simple when we have a plan!
I’m here from Canada 🇨🇦 I’m more on the minimalist side of things but come here because I prefer simple , intentional living which is what I feel you encourage us to do ☺️ Have a lovely week!
1. I will add extra water each morning.
2. I will drink water before snacks and meals to help me to eat less.
3. I will try a word search.
4. I will take more time to read for fun. Lisa Anne Dupree 🙂🌻🦋
I guess I'm something in between. Lately I decluttered a lot in order to move if we finally will find an appropriate home.
Hello from Atlanta, Georgia!
In the USA there is a separation between church and state but, the church is always involved with politics.😏
❤ Dear Diane,
Please don't be too disheartened that people are not leaving comments.
There are so many people who love you and think you are fabulous.
You make a difference to so many lives.
Keep up the good work Diane.
I wish I had found you years ago, but now I'm addicted like many others.
Love Karen from Australia❤
❤❤❤
I personally love the 3x/week format. But I appreciate everything you do… especially because you are my virtual friend and not someone who is trying to get me to buy stuff.
You never mention if you're religious at all, but my selfcare mission every day is to pray the rosary when I wake up and before I start my day either going to work or working here at home. Always makes my day better. I can pray for my family and any problems or negative thoughts I might be having or struggling with. Have a lovely week Diane, and everyone who watches you.😊
No offense to you, and I hope my comment isn’t coming off as being rude because it’s not meant that way at all….and I say all of that to say this: some people don’t like talking about their religious beliefs; they prefer to keep that part of their lives very private. Maybe Dianne is one of those people. I’m also that way…my religious beliefs are very private and personal to me, and I never discuss them. I don’t feel the need to advertise my beliefs.
@@sloanchessman5783Hi. You didn’t read my comment properly-I didn’t ask her to tell me anything about her faith- she asked about our self care habits and I told her mine. No offence taken or intended.
Come on everyone lets share Diane with the world so she can get to 100k! Rah! Rah! Rah! I missed you Friday.
Agreed! Diane will get there! Her encouragement and positivity is what people need to hear!
I seriously do a happy dance whenever you post a video 😂I hope you will continue this format as long as you are able. You are such an encouragement to us!
Agreed! I am thankful for all that you do! And a BIG Happy birthday to your Mother!
Me too
It helps me to see you at least twice a week. I really loved the three times a week. Thank you for all you do.
Thanks to Flylady and you, Diane ❤ We had guests on mothers day. My mother in law and the family of my husband. Because of planning the menu, the tableclothes were ready, decoration was prepared, everything was clean.... it was so relaxing even for me as a host 😊 the last two hours before the guests came I was reading in my book 😅 and we had 4 courses planned for menu. Everything was well prepared. Took the idea from Christmas planning ;-)
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Way to go! 🎉
Well done! I'm getting closer ...
How wonderful, Sabine! Rah, rah, rah!
Wonderful! What a great feeling 🎉🎉🎉
It is such a blessing to have Diane for motivation at 38 weeks pregnant. Thanks for bringing the energy I need to get things done! 😊
I do like your format, but I did quite enjoy both the decluttering and cleaning, plus the Friday.❤
To me, Diane, I love any amount of time you can spare to be with us! I'm sorry, sometimes I do forget to reply back to ya. That's usually because I'm off on my way with something to clean or declutter 😅 I will try to do better, but with a senior brain, sometimes it just simply doesn't happen. 😜
I love to sit and read my daily devotional of a morning and put my prayer list in order. I like to keep up with the needs of others and then pray for them.
Have a great long weekend, see ys next week! 🥳☀️🏊♂️💐
I also loved the 3x a week format - it was so helpful to keep me on track and moving forward. For the self care mission I will do “mindful eating”. I have always been a fast eater and I am finding now that mindless eating is also adding a few unwanted pounds in my mid-60’s. Time to pay attention to food and savor it rather than rush through. Thanks Diane!
My self care are 1/read Bible+ pray & journalling
2/pilates with a youtube video..very soft practise very energising❤❤
I know I don't comment enough but you are truly an inspiration to me. I can't get enough of your videos. The more the better.
Simply brilliant! “Creating a life you love and not one you want to escape from” 👏👏👏
I like the new format. I like the reminders of routines and which zone we are in. I like the little bit of declutter motivation each week. Thank you Diane!
I loved the three times a week but when I need motivation I look at your older videos. Making any videos is a blessing for those of us who follow you, so thank you for your continued commitment to helping us get our own homes clean and organized!
Thank you, these videos have made such a difference. I realised this week that when someone called unexpectedly I wasn't ashamed of the house, but could welcome them in to an uncluttered environment. I appreciate the effort you make for these videos, but am also mindful that you mustn't burn yourself out. So whether they are once, twice, or three times a week, I shall carry on watching 🤗🙏
I like the 3 videos and often binge watch. One self care thing is washing my feet with warm water and essential oil after work. Then put on comfy socks and slippers to wash away the working day.
It has taken me several days to think of something to add to my morning routine. Listening to another UA-camr, she talked about things our grandmas did that have been proven to relieve stress. One thing was rocking in a rocking chair. I started this morning with 10 minutes with a book in a rocker.
I like to watch and listen however many times a week you're on. Thank you :)
Hello from Michigan! I’m glad you reduced the number of videos from 3 days to 2. I think it was a wise choice of self-care. Yay you!🎉
My favorite self care is having a cappuccino every morning - what a nice suggestion to have it outside!
Today I am decluttering clothes to give to a friend who shares with people who restarting over in their lives. I also, for self-care will be mindful of eating and being grateful for all the hard work for the food to get to me. I am always grateful for you, Diane, and all the inspiration you share with us. Happy Birthday to you mom and brother!
Dad and I "Wordle" everyday, dad is 87 and lives in Australia, I live in New Zealand. Wordling each morning gives us a good kick start to the brain and a fun way to keep in touch every day.
I have gotten waaaay behind and out of sync. Went back to basics and cleaned/shined the kitchen sink--and oh my it looks so pretty! Motivation to keep at it! Now on to the bathroom. Self care: I do Wordle every morning with my coffee, and usually a crossword as well. My favourite hygge at the moment is a wee vase on my bedside table with fresh forget-me-nots & violets from the garden. Thanks for you support and encouragement, Diane.
I do the same when overwhelmed. Back to basics
Thank you for being here! I feel so motivated after I watch your videos! 😀
I too loved the videos three times a week. Twice a week is helpful but the Friday video felt intimate and was a perfect segue into the weekend. Thank you for any videos. I sure don't want to overwork you! 🙏
We celebrate Pentecost here in the USA, but only in the churches. No days off. I plan to do missions 1, 2: and 4. Taking my coffee on the patio ( if the weather cooperates), being mindful as I eat my meals, and #4 giving my feet and toes a spa treatment. I enjoy your format this year, either the 3 times or 2 times a week. Glad you can share your time with us, and still have family time!
Hi Diane, I’m watching you here from the Canadian Prairies. I am staying with my daughter-in-law and granddaughter as my son is away for some training this week. I appreciate your videos so much. Thanks for taking the time and effort to show us how straightforward it can be to keep our homes clean and uncluttered. I am a work in progress and so is my home but I’m getting there.
This week in the morning I am waking up to my three year old granddaughter’s voice, what a happy treat. I am also eating mindfully as my daughter-in-law is a very careful eater. After this I too, will pick up WORDLE again. For my special treat, I am playing the piano while I am here. I find it very life-giving, and never realized how much I missed it.
Thanks again for the reminder to take care of myself!! Have a lovely weekend. I’ll be here, waiting for you next week. Cheerio!!
I initiated a 4 day camping trip here in Idaho to "get away from it all." We leave tomorrow and I have 3 books ready to go.
You make such a difference in my daily routine. With a brain injury, it’s easy to forget and your reminders, along with my planner, help keep me on track.
My self-care this week is to journal each morning. It clears my head so I can enjoy my morning walks.
Hi, Diane, yes, in Germany we’ve pinse (Pfingsten) and Himmelfahrt, I noticed that more, when I was at work. Now, after retiring, I’ve to watch my calendar more carefully, because shops and supermarkets aren’t open on Sundays and holy days… and I use my calendar for birthdays, too: big family and I do t want to forget somebody, especially the children… The forth hygge mission is to paint a mandala, which always calms me down, I have t do e that for quite a while, because I’m in a painting group now. But playing with colours without intention is my anti stress pill 💊. And I choose your number one… I almost never want to get up, because duties are waiting… actually the weather is fine, I’ll hang up my hammock and have my morning tea there… Love, Monika❣
I was working on my weekly home blessing hour, not really feeling it today, but just getting on with it. As soon as I hear "RaRaRa" from Diane, I turn into a sort of Pavlov's dog. I get off my bahoke, I get moving, and I get motivated. Thanks, Diane.
I prefer the 2 videos a week 1 for motivation the 2nd for looking ahead and a cosy chat
Breakfast on the porch with the birds, savoring and slowing down with meals and a brand new bottle of nail polish for the summer. 🎉
Hi I am from Holland ! And what I do to chear me up is , making a foccacia Bread and when you smell the spices in your garden while the sun is shining and the Bread is almost ready is like your om vacation , focaccia is simpel to make so thats my favorite thing , and all the plants Rosemary thyme etc I have in my garden its such a joy.
That sounds very self-careish. I keep thinking about baking bread, but I never have. Foccacia sounds wonderful!
My self care is taking an hour or two to visit a beautiful garden,I am lucky enough to live near a royal horticultural society garden and treated myself to an annual membership.A safe and quiet place to walk around and enjoy a flask of tea and a sandwich.Bliss .
You brighten my week and keep me motivated . We need reminding many times. Thank you for your patience . X
Sitting with my 18-year-old Pug, drinking coffee is a favorite morning routine. Word games are a favorite.
I'm singing every day in May. 🗣🎶 What a difference. 💖
Hi Diane, I’ve been so unmotivated the last couple of weeks and realised it’s because I haven’t been watching you. Well I’m back & going to make sure I watch and comment because I need you in my life!
I fell off the wagon but held on to the basic routines. Like a life jacket when life is hard. Thank you for the inspiration
Your wee pet bird is so gorgeous, it makes me miss my pet budgie. He lived in the house during the day and went back to his cage at night, he would often sit on my head or on my shoulder. Aww, bless xx
I’m going to a first time mom in about 8 weeks and I’m realizing how much I need help, even before this baby arrives! thanks so much for your videos; I absolutely love them.
Hello Diane from Aussie I love catching up with you three times a week but understand you are very busy please don't be disheartened if there are not so many comments we need you so much just for the record you are the only one I have ever subscribed to and have commented on every video you are an inspiration to us all my self care this week was going to the garden centre with my beautiful grandaughter treating ourselves to brekki and a plant each take care Diane have a great week ❤
Break out the red for Pentecost this Sunday! Our Lutheran congregation with German roots will be celebrating it.
Thank you for encouraging us to break up sets. Two ducklings stay, one gets to go 👍 I just noticed myself thinking subconsciously: "Oh, but they're supposed to stay together..." , which, of course, does not really matter.
I absolutely LOVE the three days a week format! I find it extremely motivating and for some reason the format has given me an understanding of the system that I didn't have before. I would really appreciate it if you could keep it up. I look so forward to your videos. 😀
My siblings and sisters-in-law have spent quite a few months cleaning up my parents' house. Father passed away in November and mother moved in February with the things and furniture she could now take with her. The rest was left to us and it was really a huge task for us to get a handle on. My parents didn't throw anything away. We are happy that it is over and the house is for sale. We have so many good memories from that place, so it is also hard that we will not see that house again when it has been sold. 💖💖😢😢
I don’t think my mom has ever missed a wordle since it started! LOL! I’m eating my usual oatmeal while watching you. So I paused the video and took some moments to savor it, no matter how mundane it may be.
I do enjoy this format Diane ❤ and I love your self care ideas. This week I’m definitely going to try some word/math puzzles and my fave pick, set a timer, pull my lounge chair out in to the sun, and just sit for 10 or 15 mins in total silence listening to the birds, insects. No phone, no book, just relaxing 😎
I loved seeing you three times per week and I hope that you’ll be able to do two each week. Your videos are so helpful and really cheer us up. Thanks Diane for your positive influence. (I’ll do all 4 of this week’s self care missions. Wordle is a favorite that I have a friendly game going with my daughter in law and granddaughter:) Blessings on your holiday. 💞
We've got a holiday on Wednesday, Madrid city's saint patron, San Isidro. I'm trying to get into mindfulness so I'm choosing number 2 and I'll add going back to doing puzzles and my new hobby is watercolour painting. Have a lovely time xxx
I miss your motivation very much when you have a day off, but I do understand the reasoning 😊
Thanks for your format, twice or three times a week is up to what suits you best because any motivation from you is good! Today I needed you (as a kick in the boohookie😂) in order to get started with folding laundry! 😅 I will be eating mindfully again, it makes a huge difference to our feeling and to our health! I have gone back to adding walking barefoot in the garden to my routine first thing in the morning! Thank you for all your motivation, dear Diane! 🎉
I always appreciate your bubbly inspirational approach to all aspects of life. You are so knowledgeable and very refreshing
I do love seeing you 3 times a week! You bring so much motivation!!! I will be connecting to nature this week with a beach trip. ❤🎉🎉🎉
Hello a day late! I was out of the house almost all day yesterday and I couldn't wait until this morning to watch with my first coffee. I am going to get back to decluttering paper over the summer, but I'll watch out for other things to declutter as I find them. Since you asked, I liked it best when you had two videos a week, the declutter/check-in video on Monday and the Friday Q&A chatty video, but (I can't stress this enough) please do whatever feels right to you. If one video a week works best for you, then continue with that. I just appreciate the time and commitment you put into your channel and into helping us and I do not want you to burn yourself out. I can see where two or three videos a week would be too much, especially during the spring and summer when you are extra busy. As you said, you have plenty of cleaning videos we can watch and clean along with when we need a little inspiration. Okay, that's my two cents worth 🙃 Enjoy your week and your weekend with the family. Thanks again for all you do ❤
I'm in USA, State of Georgia, and we will be painting and touching up our main floor walls. Self care choice is going to be mindful eating. Enjoy your holiday.
Spring weather has finally arrived in Boston so I will be spending the week "unwintering" and opening up the house, switching out winter for summer wardrobes, and repotting my plants so I can move them outside.
Playing with my plants is definitely self care time ❤
Selfishly, I really preferred the 3 days a week... I got so much done with those decluttering and cleaning days. I understand it is a lot on tou, though.
I do mission 3 each day to keep my brain challenged--Lumosity, Words with Friends, other word puzzles. My parents both did daily crossword puzzles and they were mentally sharp their whole lives. Good inspiration. Thanks, Diane, for your fun motivation!
I’ll be doing self care missions 1 (cosy tea in bed before I start my day) and 4 (I will enjoy a pamper evening - always my favourite). Thank you Diane 😊
Definitely a word or Maths puzzle! I love them ❤
Thanks for the support, Diane. I want to be more mindful as I eat. Thanks for the great reminder:)
This Saturday I swapped my winter clothes to summer and I managed to declutter a huge bag and put some items on probation! I could have not done so many so easily without your constant encouragement and examples so thank you! I felt so great afterwards. ❤
Thanks for all that you do. It keeps me motivated 10 mins here and there works wonders. I now enjoy guests staying as I'm more organised and so is the house. I keep up with my self care. I've recently added opening a window and breathing in the fresh morning air before I start my day. Try it, it's a real mood booster. Love checking in twice a week.❤
Thank you so much for the consistent motivation!
I look forward to my morning coffee with my cat and dog. My husband and I play Wordle and Connections every day! Thanks for the great video!
I loved the 3 videos each week, but understand that it is easier to do only 1.
I have added indoor walking to my morning routine. My schedule does not allow me to walk outside, but I am using the 5 minutes here and there to walk and get many more steps into my day. Better than spending that time mindlessly scrolling on my phone. 🚶♀️
The self-care missions are so awesome! I think I'll try mindful eating and do some brain teasers.
I'm so glad you mentioned the Community Page...I don't use UA-cam much (mainly just for your videos), so I didn't ever think to look there. Oops! Good to know. Also, thank you for the encouragement to be mindful when eating. I always watch your videos and then go clean and/or declutter. As I was watching this video, I was mindlessly snacking, focused more on you than what I was eating. Something I need to work on. I miss seeing you three times a week, but twice is good. There's something about seeing a video that you've newly posted rather than looking at an old one. Thanks for all you do for us viewers!! You make a difference in my life.
Diane thank you for keeping me on the straight and narrow. Mindful eating challenge accepted. The bathroom is in for an overhaul.
Thank you for being there.
The mindful eating is a great idea! There are so many ways to be distracted while we eat or just eating on the go if we have a busy day. I also love morning coffee outside 😊.
Thank you for your inspiring videos. I'm going through cancer right now and watching your videos takes my mind off of things and gives me a mission! I've been decluttering right along with you! Your self care ideas are very helpful. Love from Pennsylvania!
❤
Maybe I’m not a “typical” woman, but I have no problem making time for self-care. I do however need to force myself to stay on top of my daily routines but when I do it really makes a difference so thanks for the kick up the bahookie that your videos give me. 🥰
Been off media helping husband do a run in the outback. It's lovely to come home and catch up on your videos to give me a spark. Thankyou lovely lady 😊
Hello from the Czech republic! This week I am choosing to have a cup of coffee outside on our front porch, hopefully the baby will sleep in his stroller 😂❤
Excellent video. Keeping us motivated. My favourite thing after my morning routine is to sit outside with a cup of tea and watch and listen to the birds. So relaxing. Enjoy the rest of your week Diane x
Good morning :) I like coming back to your videos whenever I am struggling mentally to do my tasks, whether it is work or home tasks. I appreciate your calming nature. Have a great day.
Loved the 3 times a week, love the new format too. I especially enjoy our longer Friday sessions. If I’m having a down day, I put on any one of your videos and it motivates me to do “something”! Thank you Diane x
Always enjoy your videos. I too am enjoying having my morning coffee outside in the sunshine.
You have re-inspired my decluttering. It is lifelong. I'm surprised what I find. Thank you for helping me flex my decluttering muscles again.
I quite like 2 sessions per week. Missing the Friday Q and A. I also like the hygge suggestions before the weekend. Other hygge things I do is stopping and reading for a time. Also, just get put in the garden for a short period. Fresh air, feeling the earth or even reviewing changes in the garden always lift my mood.
Hi Diane-I’m organizing electronic files and photos. My self care is to update my journal while I have my coffee in my beautiful sitting room at the front of my home. The light there is wonderful in the morning! ❤
I have followed you for years and appreciate the work you put into your videos. I enjoyed your 3 times a week schedule the most. Once or twice a week of “Diane in Denmark” is just not enough for me! 😊 I’m glad you have a lot of past videos in your playlist library.👍
Gave me some motivation. I get the impression these swap parties are very productive. You must have a giggle when you see clothes that you've warn then passed to a friend and vice versa.
I really look forward to all your videos with your positive attitude and your encouragement as there is so much negativity everywhere these days. I like the fact that the community here on your videos is supportive and free from negativity. ❤ .I like to read the comments from others and maybe get some ideas from them as to some things I could try. One area I need to work on is to slow down while eating, I eat way too fast. Self care for me is walking, stretching and when I get a few minutes I like to try Qi Gong. On the weekend I do the crossword puzzles in our newspaper, not always successfully😮.
Hi Diane! 🤗 You are right. Next sunday and monday are holidays in Germany. It's called "Pfingsten". By the way: you are so much fun and your video format is great! It gives me a lot of motivation during the week for cleaning and simplifying. And it is so helpful to be reminded of selfcare each week. Please continue with this format! And I have a question: what kind of microfiber clothes do you use for cleaning. Do you use different kinds for different purposes? Or do you use the same kind of microfiber for everything? Sunny greatings from Germany! Simona
The Danes certainly get a lot of holidays!
Thank you Diane! I need your inspiration/motivation so much at the moment. I work in a doctor's office and we moved Last week. And 2 month ago my two collegues quit. So now I have to teach two new collegues everything and tomorrow we start with two more new collegues. So I have to answer questions all day long and have to do the Work. I'm a little bit burned out at the moment. When I am coming home from Work, I get nothing done. I hardly did the LOL and the dishes in the last two months and now, when I have a little time to do something,I sit and feel completely overwhelmed, because the work is staring at me everywhere. Then I think,I start in the bathroom (because it is small), but then I walk in the kitchen and everything is bad two and so I sit and scroll my phone...... Everything screams at me: Do something! But I don't know where to start. I tried to do the routines, but they overwhelm me too, even I did them before! I am now doing my ironing and watch your videos to get back. In the flow. The other thing is, that my working time is changing. So I have to adapt everything. And it still will take some time to get everything, home and work into order. But with you by ny side, I am Sure I will make! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Diane! I’ve been watching you for a few years now and you’ve helped bring a lot of hygge into my life. My husband, kids, and I are moving into our new home next week. I just started the Flylady system this morning, because I want our new home to be clean, peaceful, and clutter free! Thank you for encouraging me along on my journey. You bring my days a lot of joy!
My internet was "down" so couldn't watch your video until now but it was well worth the wait as usual. Thank you Diane for all your encouragement.
Hello Diane! Love the 2 videos a week. I'm the card sender among my friends and family, and there is no way I could remember all the dates. I have a pair of pink jeans (a bit brighter than yours and I love them). My chosen mission of the week is to sit on my front porch and watch the sun rise each morning, relaxing!
Loving the videos, loving the format. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
I would be happy having you visit daily but I realize that isn’t practical so please do what is best for you. Plan to spend as much time in the garden as possible for my self care. Have a great week!
My husband and I do wordaily every lunchtime. We have also made a rule no phones at dinnertime. Also, each morning, we listen to the Daily Stoic on audible. It certainly makes you think about life in a different way.
Confirmed that Pentecost/Whitsun is a public holiday in Germany - both Sunday and Monday. (At least, here in Hesse - several bank holidays are just specific Bundesländer 😂) Best wishes, Anne
I really like 2 video,s a week
So glad youre back Dianne! I missed your Friday talk, I look forward to them every week. Have a wonderful day and thanks for all you do for us.
