- This 10 Minute Guided Metta Meditation will guide you through exploring loving kindness for yourself and others. Metta Meditation is my go to when i feel negative emotions towards myself or others. A 10 minute meditation is a great start to feel set for the day ahead or go to bed feeling more at peace.

Tears came into my eyes especially when I sent loving kindness to myself. I realized I wasn't giving enough love and kindness to myself. Thank you so much for this beautiful meditation, Bea.

I really struggle with these, loving others and myself doesn't come easy for there is no one that's alive that I actually love right now. So I look back at my Nanna who has passed and use the love i felt from her to project onto others and myself. Thanks for the guided video 🙏🏻

We don't all have a person to envision. If I was able to do this for my beloved pets, that would have resonated more.
It is a general practice, this is the traditional way to do it. But it is not prescriptive, you can think of a pet if that works better for you.

You can always switch them around. But traditionally that is how it goes.
Actually it's easiest to hardest, so for each person it may very. My order when I started with different guidance it was: Mentore>Friend>Neutral>Hated>Myself

You don't have to love yourself to feel love for other things in my opinion. I do hope everyone can learn to love themselves though because I believe everyone has the capacity to love anything and everything.
Shouldn't the script begin with wishing loving kindness towards self then radiate outward? I will have to find a more accurate script. This wasn't it.
There is no wrong or right, but if that doesn't work for you, of course find something else 😊
You are supposed to spend about a year on each particular meditation starting with I ..so you fix yourself first then family maybe community then world !its about stages
Thanks for your feedback. The Metta institute suggests a meditation that is very similar in steps as this one. I am not sure where they year practice comes from.

Like I'm doing it for someone else and he may get the benefits or if there are any other meditations which I can do for that person for his overall well being even from distance. Thank you though.
