  • I made my KIMONO (YUKATA) this time, the dress Japanese ladies like to wear on summer festivals and matcha masterclass, they can be super bright colours nowadays, but I used the classical colour, if you like to make yours, just pick your favourite colour. The dress can also be combined with modern clothes, I demoed at the end of the video, wish could inspire you. It is very simple dress, and can make your friends "WOW" on special occasion. You are very welcome to comments below if you have any questions, or if you would like to see me make a particular cloth, let me know :)
    Thanks for watching.

What a beautiful garment. I did not know about the over layer.

Thanks. The over layer wears when the temperature is a bit low, and keeps you warm. I personally like it very much, especially the short version, as it is easy to put on and combine with modern clothes, it’s cool 😉

It's turned out beautifully! I especially love the hand-embroidered kamon 😍 I have plans to make a haori (and if that works, a kimono), after watching your video, I think I really need to make a start... And thank you for sharing your pattern!

Thanks, glad to hear u like my video, the start is always the hardest, when u start, I’m sure you will get what you want at the end. It is a simple pattern, just make sure you have a big empty space for the cutting part, I had to use my door way this time ;)

The pattern is in the video, at the end, pls check it out, it’s very simple and you can follow it, draw on your fabric directly, all square shapes, don’t forget to add allowance. You can also draw on paper, transfer to the fabric if you prefer, good luck. 🤞
