How To Install Sole Gaurds With Toe Taps

- Here is a quick video to show you how Sole Guards with Toe Taps are installed. I call this the 'French Sole Treatment' as it is very common for French gentlemen to add this combo to their dress shoes.
This video was made in collaboration with my shoe brand J.FitzPatrick Footwear and Vince's Village Cobbler of Soho, NYC. Vince's is the local cobbler that I use to install my sole guards, toe taps and combos of the two. Definitely check them out if you are in the NYC area.

you use a brass coated metal, grind it down to reveal the core and then paint it? That’s going to look li a$$ after the first day!
Also - the way you are drilling those screws in there, you are stripping out the leather, they aren’t going to hold. I suggest hand driving them in an making sure you don’t over torque them.

I just dropped some shoes off at my local cobler for half sole guards. ~$40 per pair
@@alexfill86 sorry, just want to confirm here. This is not a service we provide to other brands of shoes. We only do our own shoes. But this cobbler is around the corner from our shop and you can drop them off directly with them though. They are open on Saturdays
