I own this motorcycle and live in the US. I've taken it on the highway as well as through the twists & turns of back roads and must say it truly is a comfortable riding experience. To put things into perspective, I've owned big 600+ CC cruisers, currently own a Ninja 400, and have to say this is the smoothest and most comfortable bike I've ridden. The Ninja will beat you up after a couple of hours, and the cruisers were just heavy and never felt nimble. This is what riding is all about. I don't have to think about shifting gears, it handles very well, and after hours of riding, my wrists never feel like I've been powerlifting for 3 hours... All I'm saying is, this is a smooth riding motorcycle.
It seems like a wonderful choice. My only concern will be the suspension since some of the roads we ride are terrible. What is your experience on this please.
@@janimara3578 It's fine. I've run over mild pot holes, sewage covers, bumps in the road, and they're all mild compared to the sport bikes I've owned. I recently did a 3hr night ride through town and the city, and came back feeling fine. I've done similar runs with my Ninja and after an hour, I was ready to throw in the towel. All in all, I would highly recommend this bike!
Underbone rider ako for almost 15 years, I don't think those 150cc bikes are meant for cruising at 100kph for a long period of time. Ninja 400 nga minsan natutulak pa ng hangin e yung mga underbone pa kaya? Just my 2 cents.
It's probably one of the reasons why 250cc motorcycles were recommended and anything below 250cc is automatically not going to be considered anymore, end of the discussion. Regardless, the 250cc is just an idea.. a dream.. a wish.. until the lawmakers agree and vote accordingly to allow any changes to the current 400cc rule on our Expressways.
this bikes build and design quality is questionable. mine is already in the shop for warranty work. not entirely sure BMW should have put there badge on this bike…. or should have had it assembled and built somewhere else other than china
Totally made in China with all parts motor brakes wheels tires computer TOTALLY ALL MADE AT THE LONCIN CHINESE COMMUNISTS FACTORY !!!!! MADE IN CHINA BEWARE !!!!
Zach, I hope an initiative of bringing down the 400cc rule on our expressways. There are a number of our riding lawmakers who can help. I don not know the basis of the 400cc minimum but as I have seen in other countries, lower displacement can use freeways. This move will give a lot of comfort to most of the pinoy riders. Just an example, It takes about 3 an a half hours going to Subic and enduring the heat in traffic jams town after town. Sayang kasi the BMW GT, XMAX, and other 300cc scoots will benefit from this not to mention 250cc inline fours
Concerns I have with this bike, 1) no way of locking wheels or transmission, parking on a slope with front wheel lower than rear wheel may cause the bike to roll forward and off the side stand. 2) center stand mount is cast piece of engine block. The force of the pivot and stop will place high stress to a minimally reinforced cast bracket. The result may break the bracket/engine interface. If this occurs an engine replacement will be required. Both examples stated are from personal experiences with one of my 2 BMW 400 GT. This with just over 2k miles. I would steer clear of this bike.
Motorcycles have different engine displacements, transmission options, braking power, handling, and driving convenience, on what the manufacturer has originally designed, intended, and have tested for them to be used. But don't simply base the top speed of your motorcycle as a valid reason, that it's enough basis for it to be allowed on the Expressways. Aside from the weight and handling of the motorcycle at faster speeds, you have to consider other factors i.e. cruising speed and overtaking speed that's not going to take a toll on the motorcycle's engine (not all motorcycles are designed to run consistently at very fast cruising speeds), we also need to consider the different types of braking systems used on each motorcycle to minimize accidents on the Expressways (because if a motorcycle would skid out of control due to sudden braking and if it doesn't have ABS for example - the driver and/or passenger would be at harm's way from getting trampled on by other oncoming vehicles). By the way, don't get me wrong now... I also have a 150cc motorcycle, but I have no illusions of using that on the Expressways. Not that I'm afraid to do so, but it doesn't make sense for me to justify allowing my 150cc motorcycle to go for such long stretches of the Expressway if it's not really designed and meant to be driven at consistently faster speeds. Although I somehow disagree with the reason why the 400cc rule was conceived, I also advocate for allowing a suitable lower engine displacement, but not to the point of allowing almost all the motorcycles (that are designed to be driven more within the city or on smaller width and slower traffic on other alternate roads), to be allowed on the Expressways. On that note, if only we could have a "real dedicated motorcycle lane" (as mentioned by others already and is actually being used in other countries), it would definitely be a lot safer for everyone using either a 2-wheeled, 4-wheeled (or more) vehicles on our roads.
I'm itching to buy this but because its only 350cc, it can't be allowed in our local toll roads and that's a bummer. Wish they just added a little more as 50cc to make it toll road legal.
Should be named C350 GT. I find it a bit misleading and pretentious it was named 400 when it is only 349cc. Regardless of how much power the engine can make, it is still a 349cc.
update, the following review was premature…the real situation is at the end got the 2022 gt in gray… yep it’s fantastic 👍🏽 after two months it’s questionable how good the build quality is. mine is being repaired already for an issue that hasn’t been a problem in any of my other maxi scooters.

ganda talaga ng BMW
sana all ganda.❤
Very informative! Thank you.
Damn, for that price I would've expected some CR loophole like what KTM and Kawasaki/Bajaj does on their 373/399cc bikes.
Bajaj hahahah
they're no BMWs though. XD
