Thank you for not bashing this game or avatar in general. It’s way too common for this franchise to get bashed just cause people don’t understand. This franchise means a lot to me😊💙
You completely nailed it at the end. Yes, I love this game because I'm hardcore Avatar fan. But I'm also a gamer and I can see how this could be just ok for others. But there is one thing I love in this game and it surprised me and that's hunting. First, you need to check the hunter's guide to learn in which biome you can find animal that you need. Then you need to go there and track that animal through scent. And then you need to have a clean and merciful kill if you want the best ingredients. And you need just one, so it's not a grind like in far cry games where you need to kill 4 sharks to upgrade your wallet. It's completely in tune with the Na'vi way of life. Take from nature only what you really need and preserve the balance of life. A lot of survival games out there do not have such complex hunting mechanics. I love it.
I 100% agree that sometimes you need to cripple the start of an experience and allow the player to experience some frustration to really appreciate something thats to come. Some games drag it out and some games blend it togher better. One game many hated on that i felt did it pretty good was Death stranding.. If they just given you weapons.. vehicles and most of the quality of life from the start. I doubt you appreciated them as much.
Exactly. The royalties paid to the movie owners is well earned and worth it for the game company. Its a perfect blend, within construction of gaming today.
Nice review! I have to admit, I find myself opening the game at least a few time every week just to run around and appreciate the environment, finding all sorts of small beautiful places. I think my only "wish" was that we would see the Na'vi more out in the world and they had a bit more to say. I love happening across them gathering, fishing, or just sitting around enjoying their day, and if you simply sit with them they say some very lovely things. But, I have heard a decent amount of repeat dialogue, and the fact they don't walk around freely or engage with you more does seem a bit lonely.
Great analysis 💯This is actually my first Ubisoft game, and as an Avatar fan, I gotta say Ubisoft DELIVERS in this game! Playing this game on PS5, the visuals are out of this world! A good example of that would be the “taking flight” ikran mission which is one of best missions I’ve played in recent years. The impressive work done by the developers in world design and in the flora and fauna adds that sense of authenticity while a great main story that centers on a “child of two worlds” concept makes me want to invest in this lush world of Pandora even more. 💙 Oel ngati kameie and irayo!
If you change the refresh rate in settings, from 60 to 120, the graphics are even better. Waterfalls for example, will look a lot better. At 60 those look weird or shiny. At 120 it'll look much clearer and realistic.
Glad to see someone enjoying the game for what it is. Nowadays people spreading hate against every games just because it's not 10/10. This is a good game with a decent story
I got to say that I really appreciate what you said in the conclusion of the video! I really felt the whole video that you like it because you like the franchise and being upfront about it is really cool... a lot of people will just say the game is amazing and that's it. THANKS FOR THE REVIEW! (you got a new subscriber :))
I really enjoyed the game it was much better than the 2009 game i enjoyed the whole open world like flying around on my ikran and I'm looking forward to the 2nd dlc story of the game.
Map boundaries, repetitiveness, the lack of enemie types and a third person option is what hits harder than anything else 😢. I just wish they could fix all those.
Not to mention a dub where the Na'vi _actually speak Na'vi!_ And no, the cutscene at the last moot contributes about as much to that as Priya and her tickshit accent does when you first walk into the Dyer's Bowl base...
run un the trees no bro in the movie you was always on the ground lol i absolutely love the game they nailed it all only thing i wish is that i could ride the huge one above the mountains lik ejake did at the end of the movie to battle the humans but this game is amazing period!
Honestly I love this game it gets boring but it’s still fun at the same time, I hate when people compares the game to far cry it’s not even close yeah they might have some similarities but they are not the same.
I fucking love how Ubisoft hired entire _teams_ for Wenja, Udam and Izila, but the Na'vi here are speaking English, outside of basically one cutscene...
Game is still a buggy unplayable mess on Xbox series x. I am both excited and extremely hesitant on the future DLCs because I liked skybreaker but have had so many TERRIBLE experience of having to fully restart a play through just because I can no longer access my DLC save…
Im just gonna say that Avatar is a better Farcry game than any other Farcry game ☝any game☝and i love Farcry apart from FC6. Hands down the most slept on game because Ubi PR. James Cameron and his team watched over this game very closely that's why it actually has that real Avatar feel.
I looked up the trailers today ind the world was stunning. After watching some gameplay my excitement for the game is not there so much anymore. The way you move around, the way you fly. No motion, no impact when you jump and land back on the ground. The flying feels slow, there is no camera shacking when you fly. All those meaningful events feel so distant when you see the gameplay. It doesn't help that every action seems to have only one animation. You see no struggle when climbing up somewhere. I hope they patch this into better animations at some point. And the eagle eye feels weird.
Curious to know if there will be any future dlc or a potentially completely new game for clans like the Metkayina. I haven't played frontiers yet, though I intend to soon, but personally I would want it all to be one game. From what I'm hearing the progression of your character in the story is very important to the player and I feel like it could potentially be really repetitive to do it all over again, but on the shore and with the ocean instead of in the forest and with the trees.
