I'm a huge Avatar fan and this game is great. I get that it can get repetitive but it's super fun the whole way through.
Thank you for not bashing this game or avatar in general. It’s way too common for this franchise to get bashed just cause people don’t understand. This franchise means a lot to me😊💙
I 100% agree that sometimes you need to cripple the start of an experience and allow the player to experience some frustration to really appreciate something thats to come. Some games drag it out and some games blend it togher better. One game many hated on that i felt did it pretty good was Death stranding.. If they just given you weapons.. vehicles and most of the quality of life from the start. I doubt you appreciated them as much.
Death stranding is an amazing example of this.👌👌Wish I had thought of that for the video. Thanks for the comment.
Exactly. The royalties paid to the movie owners is well earned and worth it for the game company. Its a perfect blend, within construction of gaming today.
Great review , just brought it today ,dam work is going to get in the way of my immersion
Thank you for the kind words, and I really hope you enjoy it!
me i wanna be immersed in a world of Xenomorphs, Yatuja, Colonial Marines and Engineers
That would be so cool!
Cheers will the Titel speaks from the bottom of my heart even tho it’s kinda rough when played realistic,… but hey glad games allow us to play around
I looked up the trailers today ind the world was stunning. After watching some gameplay my excitement for the game is not there so much anymore. The way you move around, the way you fly. No motion, no impact when you jump and land back on the ground. The flying feels slow, there is no camera shacking when you fly. All those meaningful events feel so distant when you see the gameplay. It doesn't help that every action seems to have only one animation. You see no struggle when climbing up somewhere. I hope they patch this into better animations at some point. And the eagle eye feels weird.
The world looks stunning and so detailed. The nailed that. I'm happy for you if you enjoy the game. I hope I can get there aswell at some point.
I 100% get what you mean. Thanks for the comment 😊😊
did not know ubisoft released a new farcry dlc
🤣🤣🤣
This game looks like it could benefit from at least 5 more years in development or just future tech!
Definitely could've used a Na'vi dub...
I love this game, it is so fun. Beautiful world.
If you change the refresh rate in settings, from 60 to 120, the graphics are even better. Waterfalls for example, will look a lot better. At 60 those look weird or shiny. At 120 it'll look much clearer and realistic.
Thanks for the Tip! I normal set my games to 120 by default but I will go in a check. Thanks for the comment 😊😊
Great video, I forgot this game was even a thing might have to check it out.
Thanks mate! If you love Avatar it's a ride!
Map boundaries, repetitiveness, the lack of enemie types and a third person option is what hits harder than anything else 😢. I just wish they could fix all those.
These are all very good points!
Not to mention a dub where the Na'vi _actually speak Na'vi!_
And no, the cutscene at the last moot contributes about as much to that as Priya and her tickshit accent does when you first walk into the Dyer's Bowl base...
Ya it's a beautiful game and world
My favorite RPG so far all time!
Glad you're having fun! 😊
Curious to know if there will be any future dlc or a potentially completely new game for clans like the Metkayina. I haven't played frontiers yet, though I intend to soon, but personally I would want it all to be one game. From what I'm hearing the progression of your character in the story is very important to the player and I feel like it could potentially be really repetitive to do it all over again, but on the shore and with the ocean instead of in the forest and with the trees.
@@KatieKuro There is a DLC planned. Thanks for the comment. 🙂 www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/avatar/frontiers-of-pandora/news-updates/1fUMHmho1D1UbeRbwZGhdL/avatar-frontiers-of-pandoras-first-story-pack-the-sky-breaker-available-july-16
@@IAMWILL24 Yeah I've seen that on steam while checking it out, but it still looks like you're still staying on land in the DLC. The DLC I think could be really cool if added would be taking place primarily in the water with the Metkayina. I love the original avatar movies, but the newer one with this new tribe is insanely appealing. I do wonder how long the lifespan of this game will be, if they intend to add a lot more DLCs in the future, or leave it as is after upcoming stuff.
Honestly I love this game it gets boring but it’s still fun at the same time, I hate when people compares the game to far cry it’s not even close yeah they might have some similarities but they are not the same.
I fucking love how Ubisoft hired entire _teams_ for Wenja, Udam and Izila, but the Na'vi here are speaking English, outside of basically one cutscene...
How can you play with such a frame rate :/
My game was running from 80fps most the time, but the recording dropped below 60 a lot. Think its time for a new CPU. 🤣
Thanks for the comment. 👍
@@IAMWILL24 if you have frame gen on it makes the video recording all wack.
I did not know that, Thank you!! Will do some testing and hopefully future video will look better. 👍👍
@@IAMWILL24make sure to record with Nvenc and not h264/h265 if you are using a Nvidia graphics card. Then it will render on the nvenc cores of your graphics card instead of the CPU, which has almost no effect on performance
@@meta7517 ye I use nvenc, but OBS still uses a little bit of CPU for encoding. Next to none but still some. The game itself was testing my CPU a lot as it's a i7 9700k, so getting on a little 🤣. Thank you for the help though. I am always grateful to anyone trying to help me improve the videos!!
The Game looks amazing! What kind of graphics settings options does it have?
I love it mate, One of the best setting menus out there!
the pc melting kind
🤣
Bro whats up with the FPS?
The game was fine around the 80fps mark. But my OBS recording was not doing so great due to high CPU usage. Others have suggested some fixes and if they don't work I will be getting as new CPU. Sorry for the bad looking video. 😢
This game looks amazing, started playing and after a few missions it became frustrating, to cluttered and no clue what was plant was food or deadly anyway stopped playing, may give it a try again after watching your video
I hope you can get in to it and enjoy it as much as I have! Thanks for the comment.
It's literally one of the worst games ever created, from a game design perspective. The map is a cluttered mess, it's a collectathon, the "story" adds literally nothing new to the established "lore," it's repetitive, travel is slow, the entire thing is an utter mess.
I was so shocked to see anyone saying anything positive about this game that I went and searched and watched a dozen other videos about the game & couldn't find a single positive sentiment from anyone that isn't a "journalist."
It's literally every other Ubisoft game, but worse in every way, not by subjective feelings, but actual data & design. It's everything people don't want in their games, but with added systems that are explicitly worse, like the map, quest design & everything else.
"Why do I feel more connected to...?" I don't know, delusion? A love for "sky people bad" narratives? I couldn't tell you...because it is honestly far worse than even an Assassin's Creed game, which at least has a clear map and less fetch quests.
It's fun, but the story sucked.
I didn’t mind the story so far, yet that being said I also do not play or watch avatar for a high quality story. I would love a good story in avatar though. That would be sick!
@@IAMWILL24 ubisoft just made it so difficult to care when all of the characters are so unimportant.
@@dreamlessking9 TRUE!!
this game isnr worth 20 pounds
how can this game be both. new, and look 2010 at the same time, lmfao, it literally looks bad
I think it looks great. I don't think it matches the precise pixel to pixel perfection of some games, but the density of foliage with everything else is a win for me.
@@IAMWILL24 i personally think its the lack of depth? the wide shots where you can see far into the distance look absolutely flat and devoid of any shadows and depths, thats what makes it look very much dated, like a early 2010 game that wouldnt render shadows beyond 20 units away from camera. im surprised UBISOFT would release such a thing
