New Zealand Hobbiton Tour (One Lovely Hour in Middle-Earth)

I really don't like all those cheasy tourist money grabs, But I also happen to love the Lord of the Rings, so once I got to New Zealand, it didn't take a lot persuasion to visit the sets where Peter Jackson filmed the Shire and Hobbiton all those years ago.
Since the public transportation on New Zealand is almost non existent and I don't own a car, I booked an organized trip from Auckland.
I had to get up quite early, but it was worth it.
Join me on the walk in one of the most iconic movie sets in history and while we absorb the cool atmosphere, let's learn also a few useful facts you might find handy if you ever choose to visit :)

Thanks for the video Lex. Do they allow you much time after the Green Dragon to wander around by yourself? I heard they had just finished building two Hobbit hole interiors - were these not open?

They allow you around 40 minutes at the Green Dragon, but cannot wander freely around the whole area, only on the vicinity of the inn.
The two new homes were opened in the beginning of December, I was there unfortunately a few days before. But now they're open there :)
