I have purchased a 10-pack of the Heard 360 solar after reading other reviews for our Spypoint Flex M cams. I was tired of replacing batteries every few weeks. The solar panels have a great bracket and are very durable. After having the panels up for weeks, I am impressed. The battery levels are staying between 86 and 100%. I have ordered two more because they have worked so well.

I have never used an external battery on my cameras, although I am likely going to start for my Tactacams. I was wondering if I have a fully charged lithium pack and external battery, would the lithium battery pack kick in and keep running the camera if the external battery became disconnected? My concern is that someone would disconnect my camera, and might not steal it as I always lock them with a heavy chain, but the camera would quit taking pictures.
Yes, that's exactly what happens. You will know that the solar panel is disconnected because you will see your battery level in your app drop below 100%. (anytime there is an external box connected, the battery percentage in the app always reads 100%).
