Jasonoid channel has a video of it when we were camping. Luckily this was on the smaller side of a power pack. And it was my son's fault. But you never know what someone might accidentally do.

From someone that knows actually decent brands when doing a bit of research on these, it is confusing why these unknown brands were picked except the Jackery. This seems like some sort of paid content from Jackery. When you get decent brands like Anker, EcoFlow, etc… Jackery is one of the worst picks for these generators due to the lithium ion they use, compared to other brands that use lithium phosphate
@@Wabston I think he does that often because there's plenty of content about those popular brands, so he tries to see if there are any other lesser known brands that perform either as good or better for way less money. You'd be surprised just how many unknown brands end up on top or near the top for these reviews and become a lot more popular as a result.
@@Wabston Well, I suppose if you wanted you could buy them all and do a comparison for us. Likely he was comparing reasonably priced versions, and I won't stand for any "paid content" accusations.
I own several Bluetti generators and they have all been very good and not given me any troubles. I recently added added a Pecron E3600 and it is a super value for a big generator. It is now my overlander unit.
I’ve had a terrible Bluetti experience. I bought an AC300 with 3 B300 batteries. Not even a year in, 1 battery wouldn’t charge more than 200 watts and would jump from 80-100%. Did a warranty claim. Bluetti paid to ship and fix. Got it back and it had the exact same issue. Sent back again and they said “unrepairable” and offered me a new one. The new one showed up dead on arrival and wouldn’t turn on. They took that back and gave me another one. 6 months later, another one of my original 3 kept giving voltage error codes. Again Bluetti paid for shipping and fix under warranty, only to say “unrepairable” again… only this time, the B300 is now discontinued and they want to replace it with a B300K which costs less than what I paid for my B300 and it’s a smaller battery with only usb-a outlet. Also comes with a shorter warranty period. I will never buy from Bluetti again.
Yes, please test larger batteries / power stations. Battery and solar technology have made great advances and will continue to do so. Thank you for your efforts.
Most of my purchase decision for tools comes from your reviews. I wish you had a lifetime spreadsheet of all results from all tools you have tested, it would be worth its weight in gold.
Happy Bluetti owner here. I have model you test. A few points, if you charge with 24volt at the PPV input, you can go over the 10 amp throttle (protects the car accessories port) and get get more that 120 watts charging. Also the app lets you kick in supper charging (high watts input) and the power lifting setting that lets you get over 700 watts of output. I use this to run a bench grinder which has a high initial wattage spike.
I like the Bluetti as it has a 240V outlet, I'm in the UK, and mine has a 1200W peak and a 600W steady output so I can use it for drills, vacuums, sanders Etc., and it works just fine. I charge off 1 solar panel from renology.
That was a nice set of tests. One omission, however, was battery type. The Anker, Bluetti, and Jackery are LiFePO4; not sure about the Vtoman; the others are Li-ion. Li-ion is prone to explosion or fire if overheated or otherwise mistreated. LiFePO4 is much safer and is not, and has many more cycles before losing capacity, but cannot be charged at below freezing temperatures without being damaged (but no fire or boom). The Anker is a special case though. BTW you can solar-charge it through one or two of its USB-C ports if you don't have the XT-60 adapter. BTW, are you familiar with Jasonoid's channel, and his Power Station Grading Sheet?
LFP batteries are also lithium ion batteries. If you want to scare people off about battery chemistry, at least take a few minutes to look into which one you're talking about. Like come on, saying "Li-ion is prone to explosion or fire if overheated or otherwise mistreated" is insane. How many Li-ion batteries you have in your house? You even carry one in your pocket all day.
@MrArcticPOWER if we're gonna get super pedantic then let's do that. Phones use lithium-polymer batteries which yes are a type of lithium ion battery, but li-pos are even more prone to explosion than 18650 style lithium ion batteries. You have to try to set LFP batteries on fire though.
@@MrArcticPOWER Because no one knows or uses the term "ternary" when referring to "standard li-ion". Just like most people say "charger" when referring to a power brick or wall unit for an EV, when they technically are just power supplies or an EVSE. The actual charger/controller is in the device/car. You're just being pedantic for no reason. And do you remember the samsung debacle? And now a lot of vape devices have been igniting from crappy chargers or overdrawing the cells rated output. And ternary li-ion is prone to fire/explosion when mistreated. Have seen, oh I dunno, a million videos out there showing otherwise??
Everyone always craps on Jackery for “not having modern features”, but it seems that it’s still something that can overall do a good job. Thank you for finally making a good comparison video.
The version I looked at in 2024 had super slow USB-C ports. Like 15 or 20W max. Considering that's the most important feature in a small unit like this (for laptops, phones, etc.), that was alarmingly low. I am glad to see they finally got the memo, but this is still crazy low for a new name brand unit. The best thing about all this selection, though, is that we can choose the unit that is best for us.
With everyone asking for the bigger Solar Gen's, I do own a AC300 + 2 B300's and a AC200Max from Bluetti, if you don't want to spend over 5k on bigger solar Gen's. I understand you need to buy it in order to be in line with your review process, but want to offer! Keep up these reviews, I've bought some good quality stuff thanks to you!
Yes please !!! would definitely want to see the largest home solar generators, i have 2 chest freezers & refrigerator that i would love to run by the ☀ sun, no bills. 4 these 3 appliances. ❤
I’ve heard of using an ICE (internal combustion engine) generator with a solar generator (battery) to allow you to have a constant load on the ICE generator making the naturally produced power stored in the battery and when the battery is full you can power down the ICE generator but still have power on tap.
WOW, Commander! THIS one is a big interest to me because during power outages we have 2 fridges and a freezer to run and now a gas log heater with blower. We'll still have to run the well that's 220 and that'll be to fire up the old Coleman 5K gas job but it might charge one of the sun powered deals too but seems like we'll need one with more power. This one is a SUPER test and Thanks! Hope yall were BLESSED with a wonderful Thanksgiving too!.
I have the slightly larger Jackery unit, very good quality and does exactly what you’d expect. My only gripe with it was no dedicated all in one carrying case. I ended up putting the solar panel in a laptop bag and put the whole setup in a bright orange backpack for portability. I ran my cpAp and charged my phone all night with it, zero issues.
Which one did you get? My wife uses a cpap. I'm interested in one for our travel trailer. We boondock a lot. It would be nice to hook her up to one of these in place of a generator.
Winter is coming up so we need to see some snow sled testing. Should be cheap and fun enough Also, id love to see the 500-600w generators be tested. I've bought a few and they all seem to hold less charge after minimum use
I love the review but would also like to see a longevity/torture test. I used to use these a lot for work and there's a huge difference in long-term use quality between something like Blueitti or Anker vs. a lot of the more generic brands
Wow ..great show! Thanks so much for all the personal spending that makes these comparisons possible. Not everyone always needs every tool out there ..but in this case, mostly everyone can use a backup power source at one time or another. Thanks again for all the great effort on this one & also for perfect Cyber Monday timing ..
Poor Anker: They use the industry standard solar connector and get dinged for it because the 'consumer-grade' power banks argue over barrel connector sizes... I have a Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 and it is nice to confirm they use quality inverters, even on their picnic size banks.

It's as much a generator as a gas "generator." They both convert chemical energy to electrical energy. Calling them both converters would be more accurate.
Wow I asked for this type of product review a while back, appreciated it, especially when its gonna matter alot more with the crazy weather in my area (hurricane and maybe winter cyclone bombs)
I'm in western Washington where we just had a huge windstorm (bomb cyclone!) that knocked out power for days. I bought a larger Jackey 1000 Plus unit because that's all they had left at costco. I'm very happy with how it performed, kept the fridge and all the small electronics going for over a day per charge. And it fully recharged from 0 to 100 in 1.5 hrs (I'd take it to work and recharge there since they had power still). On total overcast days the 100w solar panel only made
Jackery is trash for non consumers if you are keeping it at home and not taking with you it amazing but everyone on UA-cam thats not sponsored it trash
The interesting thing about building trust in a product reviewer who's actually a youtuber as well..... when the format doesnt change anymore.. is that you start just skip to the end of the video, get the summary and memory bank it so that if you are ever in the market you just go back to the video. Going to be interesting to see how viewership prevails.
I am convinced PF listens to my Alexa (Just kidding of course). This is just what I needed. I am a Jackery fan because of their support and they make great units. Nice to see you confirmed my thoughts. I would love to see a whole home battery review as well. Thank you as always!! Great reviews that I know I can trust.
IMHO, your best review to date, Todd!! I am very happy having chosen Jackery products. I have an Explorer 500, 1500, and 2000v2 so far. (LOL!) The 500 gets daily use powering battery banks, cellphones, flashlights and *many* other USB devices, while the larger units are mostly on standby for more serious demands. A mere 4, 80 watt solar panels on the roof keep them all happily replenished, and when I'm in the back yard or garage, there are two folding 100W solar panels at the ready. I think I chose wisely. I notice that some of the less recognized brands make use of the orange/black colour scheme, perhaps a subliminal suggestion?? Thanks for the video, and your efforts, Todd. Not only for validating my choices, but for giving us many other options!! 💯 👍
Unfortunately I looked at the longer term reviews of the bluetti and they aren’t great. About 10% 1 star reviews with people saying theirs died right outside of warranty and the consumer service wasn’t great. Totally understand that you can’t test these for longevity, and I still found the video to be excellent, as usual!
Mine eb3a was marketed as usable as a UPS. Nope. Even with 30 watts of load, it went to overload randomly. I wanted it to act as a UPS for my internet router.
I spend months at a time on my boat in Florida and the Bahamas. I find this analysis to be very helpful. At this time I do not have a generator of this kind. I am also interested in the larger generators, if you could please. The idea of solar to usable power intrigues me very much. Keep up the great work. Love your channel.
Love this channel. Has me buying things i don't even need. Any chance you can do a Dashcam showdown? With all the insurance fraud out there it would be highly appreciated!
I have been using the Bluetti AC200P for over 1.5 years of being on the road full time in my van. It runs my fridge/freezer, and It runs my window ac all I need in hot summers and runs my diesel heater in cold winter's. I also have a Bluetti EB3A too that I use to charge my phone and run lights etc. Both are recharged by 720 watts of solar on my roof. I have a Champion gas generator for back up if cloudy for several days. So far, so good.
I just went on a three thousand mile road trip with that model of Bluetti. It was drained after two days of driving, but all devices were kept charged and it topped itself off within an hour after plugging into an outlet. It dropped to %20 after powering a drained party speaker with 2 12"s all night long. Plugged it in and it finished charging by the time we were loaded up. It dropped to %40 on the trip back. The Bluetti won't be sufficient for cooking or refrigeration, but it is excellent for low draw devices. Considering the Delta Pro 2. Friend of mine uses several connected EcoFlow units as a house backup.
They're capped at under 128p and 9FPS if produced outside the US for Americans. ITAR legislation makes moving thermal equipment in/out of the US a nightmare, so the US gets some of the worst civilian thermal imaging on the planet. (FLIR and others can try to bypass this with algorithms overlaying the thermal over a standard image, and it can be nice, but it isn't the same as true thermal resolution, obviously.)
While some people here in the comments say that these come in at the perfect time when they are shopping for something, it is not that way for me 😅 I was not in the market for some of the stuff that is reviewed, but it does make me want to either replace my lower performing tools or suddenly I have a new item in my Christmas/birthday wish lists. Project Farm really is the gold standard for how these kinds of videos should be done. I see other channels using some similar methodology in their testing. Project Farm made UA-cam better. This channel should have many more times the subscribers than it does.
I have a couple of Jackery 1000WH units, I use them to power pellet stoves in outages, I am very happy with them.Looks like they are a consistent value, thanks for the update.
This really is worthwhile review, albeit a very expensive one. Hats off to your dedication to reviewing relevant products. For those interested in large capacity solar generators. I have Bluetti's AC300 controller, two B300 (3072wh batteries) and two B300K (2765wh batteries) along with three 350w portable solar panels. The system has been rock solid and trouble free. As prices continue to fall, I see solar generators becoming more and more popular.
Remembering back to the battery jump starters, I would like to see their performance in cold and hot as well, however i know your trying to stay into a time window for the video. So glad you never sold out for vendor endorsements and stay honest. You really set the bar for true testing and honest review.
I just bought that same Jackery unit a week ago. Good to see I bought the right one! I got it for less than 200 dollars during Amazon's black Friday sale. Thanks for all of the great work you do for these reviews. I watch all of them.
This is exactly what my research showed. Thank you for the effort you put into these reviews. This is one of my most favorite channels because you consistently do such a good job. Please review the power stations in the 1-2 kW range.
I would definitely be interested in the larger solar generators. Being from Florida, I think that would be a great alternative option to gas generators.
Another great review. (I've got a lot of excellent value, rarely used tools. For when I do need them LOL.). Two things I'd add for future reviews: battery type, LiPo vs LiFe (LiFe last several X longer) and whether they have a usable connecting app. (I know the Bluetti does, and it can actually be useful.). To any of those who might get upset about the term "solar generator", (and for some odd reason, some apparently do) try running your gas or diesel generator without fuel. They all convert one form of energy to another, none "generate" it from thin air.
Yesterday I searched in amazon for power stations for camping and I saw lots lots of products and got confused, and today suddenly you uploaded this😂 , Thank you It’s on time and Perfect advice for camping.
I've been waiting for this review for a while now. I often need portable power for my business and have bought a couple of power stations claiming 600 watts that couldn't actually do it. I'll definitely use your affiliate links to buy my next one! I'd definitely like to see the larger power stations, too!
Once again project farm rates at the top for realistic tests and comprehensive data collection and analysis. Thank you for a tremendous effort and thoughtful testing. Project farm is my first stop for product review and recommendations. I rely on your site before I make any purchases, your testing is invaluable. The reference index to your product testing videos is very helpful finding different tests over the years.
Something often missed with the Bluetti (and the reason I own a few) is that they have instant cutover UPS so I use them as power backup for my critical home servers and PC's. They haven't failed me yet though they have some issues with security through bluetooth. Another great video!
Test the larger units? YES please. I have a 600' long driveway and have to lug a gas powered unit up there when I'm working "up at the road". Having something that can power a circular saw or belt sander would be great. BTW, I'm a Patreon subscriber and never doubt the wisdom of paying a monthly stipend.
this is a perfect time for such a highly needed item, imagine how many will be purchased for Christmas. this should go on all of amazon reviews of these products. GREAT JOB!!(as always) yes the larger capacity would be MUCH appreciated sorry for the money spent, but they will all get used on your farm at some point. PS plese let me know when you have a garage sale... THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO FOR US!
Anker has a C300 with 3 AC outlets and would of been a fair comparison. You showed the C300 DC version which is designed for people that don’t need AC. Then you tested all the other models that had AC ports.
I live in Australia, I am a late comer to your channel, but I am now coming to the conclusion that I need to check your recommendations before buying any important item. Thank you very much for all the hard work you do.
I bought a 600W Bluetti with 240V outlet and a Renology 100W panel for about £350 a couple of years ago and it's been invaluable keeping me online when we have a power outage which happens at least 4-5 times a year recently.
@@EmberHarvestRaven Sad to hear the Bluetti didn't stand behind their product. Hopefully they'll see this on PF's channel and change their mind.
Genuinely, what in the hell would we do without you?
I’ve purchased so many quality things thanks to your testing.
Yes, please test larger batteries / power stations. Battery and solar technology have made great advances and will continue to do so. Thank you for your efforts.
You are welcome! Thanks for the suggestion.
EV as battery backup.
Most of my purchase decision for tools comes from your reviews. I wish you had a lifetime spreadsheet of all results from all tools you have tested, it would be worth its weight in gold.
Thank you for sharing!
As always straight to the point with no messing around thank you from Northern Ireland

Did suggested this one a little while ago, Thank you!

I do appreciate LiFePO4 batteries because they are safer. Thanks for raising this point.
The Jackery Explorer 300 is Not LiFePO4, it is Lithium Ion. The newer version Explorer 300 Plus is LiFePO4.
Yes for sure a video on the larger anker, bluetti, jakery, ecoflow, etc would be great 👍
Thank you for the video idea!
Very excellent video. The larger station test would be fantastic
Thanks for the video idea!
Oh shit! Been waiting for this one👍🏽👍🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you!! Hope you enjoy the review!
This guy could open his own store with everything he buys.
Yes we could!
@ProjectFarm Do it Project Farm Mart!
I would definitely buy from it. 😆
And unlike Walmart he could say he's tested everything that's in the store.
@twjno04 He could lease out a former Big Lots or Bed Bath and Beyond perfect size.
I would definitely be interested in a larger solar generator review and I would also be curious to see how EcoFlow stands up
Great suggestion! Thank you!
I was disappointed Ecoflow wasn't in here but j understand it's maybe in a different class.
I also was expecting to see eco-flow. I own a couple of them and love em
FWIW, I've seen other comparisons of Ecoflow and Jackery. Jackery wins.
*"When it came time to running the drill, the Allwei said 'No way' and it powered itself down."* Love your puns!
Yes please !!! would definitely want to see the largest home solar generators, i have 2 chest freezers & refrigerator that i would love to run by the ☀ sun, no bills. 4 these 3 appliances. ❤
Thanks for the feedback!
After the last hurricanes we went thru here in Florida, I am considering one of these to use in additional to my generator.
Hello, Lewie!
This is what I've been waiting for! Tons of cheaps and premiums that claim things.
Thank you! Considering the price, I'm impressed with some of the solar generators tested!
Thank you for sharing!
Battery type (LiPo, etc) and percent of claimed capacity would be super helpful additions to the data.
Winter is coming up so we need to see some snow sled testing. Should be cheap and fun enough
Also, id love to see the 500-600w generators be tested. I've bought a few and they all seem to hold less charge after minimum use
Thanks for the video idea!
Excellent! Now I can make an informed decision for spring Cape Lookout Davis Island beach camping!!
That sounds like a lot of fun!!
I love the review but would also like to see a longevity/torture test. I used to use these a lot for work and there's a huge difference in long-term use quality between something like Blueitti or Anker vs. a lot of the more generic brands
Thanks for the suggestion
Yes please do the larger power stations 2500-3500 watt units. Ecoflow, jackery, lion energy, bluetti, ankor
You better send a couple super thanks of 500 bucks to get him started on the project.....
Our pleasure!
Poor Anker:
They use the industry standard solar connector and get dinged for it because the 'consumer-grade' power banks argue over barrel connector sizes...
I have a Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 and it is nice to confirm they use quality inverters, even on their picnic size banks.
Thanks for sharing!
What a fun test, thank you! ❤

@@ProjectFarm how about the eco flow solar generator project farm???
you are one of the best youtube channels out there my dude, and I thank you. you've shown me worthwhile products to buy in my line of work, and so much more on the fringes that I might explore. Thank you. I will keep liking your videos and consuming your content as best as I can
Thank you for your thorough reviews. I have used your recommendations twice for major purchases. So far I have not been disappointed with your opinions.
The videos are well done and well edited. Your voice is easy to hear and articulate... thanks again.
I wish you included an Ecoflow product. Maybe the Ecoflow River 3 in this comparison? Thanks for the great content!
Thanks for sharing!
These should be called a power pack vs a generator. Very informative and helpful video! Thanks😊
Glad it was helpful!
It's as much a generator as a gas "generator." They both convert chemical energy to electrical energy. Calling them both converters would be more accurate.
I swear this man reads thoughts or something before making these videos
Wow I asked for this type of product review a while back, appreciated it, especially when its gonna matter alot more with the crazy weather in my area (hurricane and maybe winter cyclone bombs)
Thank you for sharing!
On total overcast days the 100w solar panel only made
I bought that jackery awhile ago. It's pretty nice, it's a good well known brand known for their good quality.
Jackery is trash for non consumers if you are keeping it at home and not taking with you it amazing but everyone on UA-cam thats not sponsored it trash
@catacocamping874 Well he doesn't get sponsors, and pays for everything himself so.
Doesn’t the jackery use lithium ion instead of LiFePO which don’t last as long and are flammable?
yes, please do the larger ones
Thank you for the video idea!
I play them anyway even if I'm not going to be in the market for said product just to support the channel
I don’t skip any of Todd’s videos to the end because I admire his testing ingenuity. I certainly could not do as well.
Thanks and you are welcome!
I would love to see testing of larger capacity models. Thanks for an awesome video!
Great suggestion!
Thanks for the feedback.
2 of my 3 Bluetti batteries died within 18 months of purchase.
@@ProjectFarmi would love to see a 2 year followup on these, like you have done with some products 😊
This is what I just needed, Big Thx
What pushed the VTOMAN over the top for me was the ability to jump my truck/Mower etc. when their battery dies. Has already saved me a few times
Yes a review of bigger units!
Love this channel. Has me buying things i don't even need.
Any chance you can do a Dashcam showdown? With all the insurance fraud out there it would be highly appreciated!
Good morning everyone!!!!!
Good morning!
Good afternoon here brother 🙌

Good afternoon
Mornin'.
I think you would probably be one of the best reviewers for larger power stations. You’re incredibly thorough, something other channels aren’t always.
Thanks!
Great review. Very informative
Thank you!
@2:45 "The Allwei said NOway" LMAO
Definitely important for anyone thinking about going off the grid! Thanks!
Great point!
Sometimes just for events. Loud generators are annoying when having an event where the grid is hard to reach.
I have that Bluetti!!! We bought it about a year ago for dry camping, works amazing!!!
Thanks for sharing.
Good timing
Winter storms and power outages are coming!!
This is one of his superpowers.
Just in time for Cyber Monday!
Yes!
Review idea: thermal cameras!
Yes, I agree. I need a thermal camera (diy upgrading) and having trouble pulling the trigger on a couple different ones
Our pleasure!

Thank you for sharing!
Bought a VTOMAN a few weeks ago without knowing much at all - glad papa project farm is here to confirm my whims.
Excellent video. I've had the bluetti for years, great unit! It also has an emergency function that can be used as a backup for outages.
Thanks for sharing!
You're an American hero Project Farm! Thanks for never compromising!
You're welcome!
Yes, there's been quite a few "it's not a generator!" crybabies in here already.
Thanks for sharing!

Test medicine. 🙂
I bought a 600W Bluetti with 240V outlet and a Renology 100W panel for about £350 a couple of years ago and it's been invaluable keeping me online when we have a power outage which happens at least 4-5 times a year recently. I'd like to do my house with solar but it's not a realistic proposition here in the UK where I live.
