Hey that is my interest in the little Chinese equipment. They are small enough to run off of cheap little generic engines. Engine swap videos are cool! Subbed
I bought a landhero and it had a fuel problem. When it was ship here it had bad gas. I finally got it going after 4 fuel pumps then I installed a electric fuel pump. I also didn't like the neck on the tank. It would allow dirt into tank or when filling over flow.
Yeah I don’t think the stock fuel pumps are as powerful as they need to be. I put an hour and a half on this one today without a single hiccup. Electric fuel pump is definitely the way to go.
I put a compression gauge on it and one side had low compression. Carb was cleaned and I had two inline filters in it as well. It won’t run if there’s no compression. Head gasket was blown when I pulled it apart.
rato makes the engine you pulled out and also the predator engines. step one on a new machine, change oil and filter BEFORE you work the machine. supposedly they put mineral oil in the engines to prevent rust during shipping and pass the volatility smell test going thru port inspections. it was never meant to be in there when you work the machine. i used a Briggs oil filter and no problems so far. air filters can be found at harbor freight customer service for around $10.50 and free shipping. get several, you'll need them.
Yeah I did that as soon as I got it off the trailer. Changed oil, oil filter, cleaned the whole fuel system, etc. You get what you get with the China stuff. New motor has a warranty so if it fails I just take it back for another one but so far it’s doing great. Runs better than the Rato ever did.
Did you have to install a fuel pressure regulator for this electric pump or do you have it plumbed directly into the old diaphragm pump? Also an update on how it’s doing would be great. My Rato keeps losing its prime and cutting off. I don’t think it has enough pull to bring fuel all the way up from the tank.
Yeah that’s common. I piped it directly to the existing diaphragm pump. Basically I just cut the line from the existing fuel tank and stuck it in there and wired it to the key switch so it comes on with the key. Runs great. I’ve put over 15 hours on it like that and zero issues with it cutting off so far.
That’s a OHV …, the valves just needed to be adjusted. Mines did the same thing but once I adjusted the valves she ran better than the first day. Had to be a factory error.
Hi buddy i make it work BUT! When the temperature going up to 5.5 the machine start to run incorrectly and stop the engine is new so I am not sure ehat is going on
Buddy In replaced the engine but the machine and run perfect except for the adjustment about the shaft. The problem is the hydraulic system is not working at all any ideas??
Can you tell if your pump shaft is turning? Did you check your hydraulic oil level? Did it work before you replaced the engine? I don't know anything about your machine or why you replaced the engine so it's tough to diagnose without any information.
@@lurtbikeyeah hidraulic was working before , inreplaced the engine because its broke internally with only 53 hours very bad materials a lot oil leaks etc so i saw your video and i just have to grt and shaft adapter and is running but the machine do not move and no hydraulic movements allowed
I had a similar problem with a new predator 670 (1 cylinder dead out of the box) I did the same quick checks as you did, then brought it back to HF for a refund. I'm still puzzled as to what was wrong, but digging into it more might've jeopardized the refund. I sort've assumed it was a carb/intake issue since there was hot spark and compression. Too bad the China digger builders are moving away from Vanguard 23's.
I recently bought a chinese mini skid steer and it looks like it has the same motor as yours. Can you or someone tell me what replacement oil filter I need. It did not come with any documentation or extras.
I have an electric fuel pump on the predator motor now. Low compression wouldn’t be caused by a carb issue. Checked valves too. Head gasket had failed upon later inspection.
I think it’s rated at 22HP where the 739 is rated at 23.5. I can’t tell the difference when I operate the machine. I think 22 HP is more than enough to drive the hydraulic pump.
Yeah I’ll have to look into that but I’m not sure I want another one if they run like garbage and only last 5.5 hours. This one has a warranty and I can pick up a replacement off the shelf locally.
It is, but this is an auction machine with no warranty and really no support in the US to speak of. I knew what I was getting into and I knew I had the knowledge and ability to deal with something like this if/when it happened. Didn't think it would be this soon, but now I have a motor with a 2 year warranty and I've still got a capable machine at less than $6k all in. You can't rent one for a few months for that price.
The china cheap equipment is pretty garbage toro or Vermeer make a much better dingo that’ll last a lifetime and are actually heavy duty with the arms being twice as thick and can carry more😊
You are mostly correct. And they cost almost 5x as much new. I have less than $7k in this machine and it does what I need it to do. I can’t justify spending over $40k on a piece of equipment to clean up my yard and tinker with. But hey if you’ve got that kind of money sitting around I say go ahead get the Vermeer.
Couldn't afford to buy name brand to play around the house. But we could afford this little guy at the auction and ate having lots of fun with it. ua-cam.com/video/ZHVcusDVA7M/v-deo.htmlsi=P9cCi-_1XQ2Jf4Bs
3.5k for Chinese or 35k for name brand.... I go to auctions for a living and those "name brand" are junk at 5-700 hours typically .... doesn't sound like quality to me
If buy one always drain old fuel out change fuel filter and oil before really running them. Alot of them when they arrive wont run properly at full throttle, it'll sit there and fluctuate.

good informative, thanks you, I've roughly 14 h and had a bit of fuel smell, I need to change oil and maintains it, I just abused it right away
The carburetor has two venturi. One isn't working correctly. It been discussed on the Facebook chinese mini skid groups.
I put a compression gauge on it and one side had low compression. Carb was cleaned and I had two inline filters in it as well. It won’t run if there’s no compression. Head gasket was blown when I pulled it apart.
wow, you are a genius

I checked the valves. They were in spec.

Yeah I have no idea. Mine doesn’t have any temperature issues but I’ve left the hood and back cover off of it to allow more air to flow.

Check the font on the NGK's, mine had fake NGK plugs in it.
Ha! I didn’t even think to check for that. I’ll take a look and see what I have.
Where you got that spacer between the hydraulic pump and engine
got it off ebay. DO NOT order the cheap chinese ones from Amazon. You need to get one thats made in USA or it won't work. Believe me, I tried.
@@lurtbike going to look it up thank you for the suggestion
Niiice!
How does anyone feel about cutting a 1/2 inch off the tip of the output shaft I’m having a clearance problem with with adapting the hydraulic pump.
Shouldn't matter but you could also use spacers or washers between the bell housing and where it mounts to the motor to get yourself more room.

Yeah so far so good on my predator. I’m up to 14.5 hours now and it’s doing well.
I recently bought a chinese mini skid steer and it looks like it has the same motor as yours. Can you or someone tell me what replacement oil filter I need. It did not come with any documentation or extras.
Same as a predator 670 motor from harbor freight. You can use the same filter. I bought a Kizut 136-7848 off Amazon.
Probably carburetor issue…..had to add a electric fuel pump to mine….I have over 100 hours on it…….

Does the harbor freight motor have as much power as the 739cc

alot of these companies will send you a new motor with only 5 hours on it. long boat from china.

thats kinda bull sh_t that your oem engine went down so soon. they should have flowed you a new engine

I'm sure everyone that buys a Chinese skid steer is aware of that and know the risks. Some of us don't have 30k for the better US or Japanese units.
