It’s a shame the intel chip isn’t better then what was on display was really looking forward to Msi Claw but I think I will wait for the new asus rog ally as long as it’s using amd new chip 8840/ z2 extreme
Thanks for the video, and actually comparing it to 7840u devices, unlike some other channels that don't want to show how far behind intel is in terms of efficiency and want to keep on good terms with their sponsors.
My concern is the battery. It would be very embarrassing if I use it as a laptop for presentation (to customers) but not enough battery after playing like half hour on 3A games. The purpose of this console (so heavy & expensive) is to act like you get a handheld & same time laptop. But if after playing 30 mins games, then you don't have "enough" battery for your customer presentation, it would cause you big problems in (work) life. Because even a laptop cannot stand for 3-4 hours , but now is a 3-to-1 console. This is my most concern.
As always, intel had been consistently the all paper king.. always claiming to be the best and the fastest within the category... and failing.. dont get me wrong, i'd love to see another viable player to outspeed the current Zen lineup, coz competition always benefits the consumer, sadly intel's just aint cutting it..

If Intel has not solved the problems with the degradation of processors of previous generations, then why should potential buyers of the next generation believe that they will not be thrown into the landfill next time

Good video. Definitely changed my mind, lower performance for a bigger screen. I'll check it out down the line, see how performance improves. Using legion go atm.
Pretty confident OneNet will have to sell an AMD version later in the year or next. I'm keeping my current Intel order but will get an AMD variant once it's available and give the Intel one to a lucky relative.
@@tnt_champ1002 yes, but not completely when it has things like custom buttons and touchscreens - need drivers that support the hardware if it doesnt have one already
Hopefully Intel will stay committed to working on drivers in the coming months and beyond. When you look at synthetics you can see the chip has raw potential to at least compete more closely with the 7840u/8840u than it is right now. Maybe I'm crazy but I am sticking with my X1 + OneXGPU preorder (32gb + 2tb version). It seems to me that I can expect a "low res 30 fps" experience out of the iGPU even with high-end games, which to me feels acceptable. Realistically, I spend 80%+ of my gaming time in a position to use an outlet/charger, so Oculink + OneXGPU will be accessible when I want/need higher performance levels anyway. Ultimately, the X1 is the only device in this market so far to truly capture the 3-in-1 concept that can basically be everything from a reading tablet, to a gaming handheld, to a production laptop, to a gaming PC hooked up to my big screen TV. Truly "all in one" and in a portable package to boot. So I guess you could say I'm more bought into the form factor than the chipset, and fwiw I've always been one to gravitate towards more "unique" technology for whatever reason. Crossing my fingers on this one lol.
Just picked up a Legion Go, but to be honest this looks like it checks even more boxes (except the very crucial one of affordability). I'm a Mac/iPhone user so having a laptop replacement/gaming console all-in-one isn't a priority for me since Windows isn't my ecosystem. The weakness of the keyboard though is a big issue were I to consider the X1. I suppose a keyboard that's 80% there is better than none at all but I'd have to experience it myself. I wish they would have incorporate the kickstand as you mentioned. That's one of my favorite features of the Legion Go, it's a perfect complement to the big screen which is still portable enough to travel with.
Gotta wonder why they're sending out review units of a 3-in-1 device with one of the modes completely missing and a second still in prototyping. Did you run any performance tests at higher than 25W? You show the handhelds built around a ryzen 7040 chip outperforming this significantly within their own ideal power range, but the settings on this range much higher by default so I'd definitely like to see how it compares at max power. Yeah battery life and thermals would suffer, but this device already has a bigger batter and seems to have better cooling than any of the direct competitors, which makes me think that the whole thing was optimized for a significantly higher TDP...
Great video. I'm watching mostly for the 155H performance, I would like to buy the LG Gram Pro 2in1, it calls my attention and I plan to use a PS4 controller with it, great showcase. Thank you very much for all the details.
I've been looking for a tablet to replace my 10 inch Galaxy S9. I love the Galaxy but I've become to accustomed to various Github app only available on Windows 11 so I'd like to switch operating systems. The Oculink is a big draw on the X1 but I'm not certain if the bulk would defeat the convenience I get with a slim Android tablet. I'm also not sure if I'd miss the AMOLED display I really love about the Galaxy and if the LTPS display would mostly satisfy.
0:59 It would have been much more clever to say “Let’s see if this meteor has the impact to *wipe out* the competition” You know, like wiping out the dinosaurs?
I was concerned what the new intel chips can do. What about older Direct X games. Arc has been known to stuggle when you go back in time, but something like this tablet would be great for older DX 9, 10, and 11 games.

Nice! Yes, having eGPU is going to be very nice for a docked/desktop experience. 🙏
Hi, can you test the kingdom Hearts games on this device? I have the Azus Rog Ally and it doesn't run because of the chip or drivers so I want to sell it so I can get a device that can run them with no Issue.
Which games specifically? Are you talking about the PC ports?
@@retrotechdad yes the pc hd collection because it keeps crashing on the Rog ally with no fix
Awesome video, good to know the legion go was the right choice even with the new devices coming out
Does keyboard has magnets to keep it close?
No, it doesn't
Do you know if you can use other magnetic keyboards with the X1?
No, the pogo pin layout is different than say a Surface keyboard.
It’s a shame the intel chip isn’t better then what was on display was really looking forward to Msi Claw but I think I will wait for the new asus rog ally as long as it’s using amd new chip 8840/ z2 extreme
Thanks for the video, and actually comparing it to 7840u devices, unlike some other channels that don't want to show how far behind intel is in terms of efficiency and want to keep on good terms with their sponsors.
usbc port로 모니터 화면이 출력됩니까 ?
Yes! 🙏🙏
Danke!
Wow, thank you so much! 🤗🙏
As always, intel had been consistently the all paper king.. always claiming to be the best and the fastest within the category... and failing.. dont get me wrong, i'd love to see another viable player to outspeed the current Zen lineup, coz competition always benefits the consumer, sadly intel's just aint cutting it..

hey guys I'm need of advice which laptop or tablet I should buy for gaming and school stuff from
OneXPlayer X1
asus rog flow z13 and
minisforum v3 please reply ASAP
In that size you better buy an ASUS ROG z13 flow and get a controller. Süd it’s not the same handheld feeling but that thing is not comfy to hold. I think the Steam Deck is already a bit heavy. Love my Ally more.
Do you know which port, it any outputs video to AR glasses? Both USB C ports do not work with my AR glasses. They are marked as charging ports on the machine. Thanks
Subscribing to you because eta prime is kinda shit the last months. Just cant watch his "reviews" anymore. Your video gave me exactly the answers i needed.
I got the legion go, but im willing to sell that to get this instead just for the oculink port. Not feeling like taking the legion go apart just to use a m.2 module for oculink.
Also octopath is amazing. Im happy to see it featured here.
I really enjoy your videos. Glad I stumbled onto them. Great content.
Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you're here! 🙏
Ive already bought one of these, and I know the Minisforum V3 has the superior iGPU, but if you could do a review on thr V3 and mention it in comparison to this device somewhere in that video, I think it would be a great review for those of us looking for a device that fits such a specific niche.
If Intel has not solved the problems with the degradation of processors of previous generations,
then why should potential buyers of the next generation believe that they will not be thrown into the landfill next time
So glad he did a forspoken test, for all the non reviewers that bought the game and are playing it.
I am sure Eskimo Joe is very happy.
GUYS WHAT WOULD BE BEST THIS TABLET OR THE ASUS ROG Z13 please let me know.
Thank you for this video. Made me confirm I should avoid intel ARC gpu.
I remember getting the GPD Win 3 with Intel Iris graphics, Never again! the Intel Iris Graphics drivers updates took near 12 months to fix the Graphic Artifacts in game, rendering games unplayable.
Terrible.
That's one of my concerns. The Alan Wake II issue is a perfect example of it. Intel was aware of the issue in January... how long until it's fixed.
@@retrotechdad I wouldn't mind if Intel devices would carry a discounted price compared to AMD but they never do, they usually cost more for an inferior chip 🙄 So who would buy it?
No side controllers to show... Ugh. Still no review that makes me wanna buy it 😢
I was so close to buying but seeing the benchmarks makes me have to wait for a similar handheld with amd
Is the screen oled?
No, it isn't. The panel is LTPS, which is quite nice looking.
Switch ryuinjx and ps3 rpcs3 running well?
Very well-done video that had me subscribing shortly after. Great job!
They don't support there products no updates they just nove on to next project
frees up ram ??? cause it never had enough ram to start with
Great device too bad the chips power is a deal breaker
How was the sound of the fan? Was there any coil whine as well?
Fan was only really audible at very high TDPs (28w). I didn't notice any coil whine. The cooling is actually very solid on here.
should i buy this or a gaming laptop ?
can it run linux?
Why not? You can put linux on anything no?
@@tnt_champ1002 yes, but not completely when it has things like custom buttons and touchscreens - need drivers that support the hardware if it doesnt have one already
the intel chip is built for highger watt
It's very pocketable.
I just don’t see how this intel chip can hang with 7840u..
Turnip drivers are definitely the way to go with a Snapdragon device.
Very thorough review!

It would have been much more clever to say “Let’s see if this meteor has the impact to *wipe out* the competition”
You know, like wiping out the dinosaurs?
I was concerned what the new intel chips can do. What about older Direct X games. Arc has been known to stuggle when you go back in time, but something like this tablet would be great for older DX 9, 10, and 11 games.
Why getting this instead of Z Flow 13 i9/4060 for few hundred bucks more but with more support and longevity?
Subscribed! Thanks for the video mate. I have been looking to get something that can do both gaming and I can also write some code (software engineering) on it for my work.
Good review but being unreleased hopefully we'll see optimizations to increase performance once it's released
The lack of AVX-512 is unfortunate for things like PS3 emulation.
Using Intel was a mistake
maybe you could stop those low wattage tests and come straight to maximum 35w test because when i play game i alway plug in, portable is only for web browsing....
He's doing everything for everybody not just you lol typical you think the world revolves around you just kidding have a good day
@@chrismartin3959 everybody? so why not teste on both low and maximum wattages, why only low wattages? just claiming "or this is a portable device so people only use it with low wattage to reserve battery life and never plug in" is bullshit
I can't really fo the math myself. How is this compare to, lets say, an Asus ROG Ally?
It's the same keyboard from the original OXP, it's absolute trash.
You have it? Why its trash?
@@ramontrevino3170 because it doesn't lie flat on the table for one, and the track-pad is unresponsive, did you not watch the video? He explains it.
I wouldn't talk so many points about the keyboard if it is a prototype.
if i put it on TV is OneXPlayer X1 is going to charge
It is work or not ? 🤔
I’m excited for this. I preordered the same one you showed except I got the 2tb version. Great video.
i got my zenbook duo 2024 120hz oled, ultra 7 155H & 16gb ram few days ago.. in the asus system setting app i put 8gb allocation to the arc GPU & the fan speed option to performance mode with the AC power and was able to play all games on high setting with few tweaks in graphics setting of the games which i couldn't believe a laptop without RTX can even do lol. Any more tips?
I have an Asus A16 AMD (All Advantage Series) 7735hs with RX7700S 8gb GDDR6,16gb ddr5, and its able to play any game (so far) on ultra/very high settings @1440p
I did upgrade the ram from 16gb 4800mhz to 32gb of 5600mhz, but even before I upgraded the ram, it was able to play games @1440p on ultra/high settings.
Your AI's grammar SUCKS. 🤦
What? 🤣🤣
How do I get a retro dad sticker and other channel merchandise?
30 fps? 😂
