- The Neo Geo CD allowed gamers to play Neo Geo arcade games on CDs at home, with extra content and CD audio on some games. However, the load times were extremely slow and nowadays many of these consoles no longer work due to failed disc drives. For this week's Fix it Friday, we install the Neo SD loader on a Frontloader to address all of those shortcomings and make it better than ever!

@@LIRetroGaming i remember borrowing it once lol. i liked it but it is gotta be one of the hard nes hard games that isn't completely broken to begin with.

Yes, the mod does let you use the original cd drive as well
Did you buy this From Stone Age gamer or aliexpress?
Stone Age gamer. The aliexpress ones are poorly made so definitely avoid them
want to really blow up the neo geo cd, add a unibios to it. it looks like you can add a switch for a AES/MVS environment. combine that with an sd loader. is this not entirely possible yet. looks like we are really close if not completely there.
I need to look into that, but I think it’s most likely possible

Finally got mine installed (Rev F) but unfortunately it's not working. Firmware flash seems to go OK and the board blinks 3 times green. But I only get a black screen and no menu. Tried flashing lots of different versions but the same problem.
I can still play cd games if I unplug the cpu socket from the motherboard. So it seems as though its a problem with the sd loader board.
Very disappointed.
Where did you buy it from? The aliexpress ones are very poor quality and sometimes have bad components.
@LIRetroGaming thanks for the reply. I got it from Rexus Nexus. The seller for Europe listed on the Furrtek site. I've emailed them, hopefully they'll get back to me. It's currently useless. Tried flashing again and wiping it but always the same result after the firmware flash. Black screen.
