Backward 3 turns coming! I got my new wide angle lens today so we are filming Tuesday 😀 one foot slalom is a good one, I’ll have a think of progressions 🤔
On the backwards cross-roll, is each step technically a Schafer Push? The scary parts are the fear of stepping on the heel of the other blade, and getting used to the feel of leaning back and transferring the weight onto the stepping foot without falling backwards and hitting one’s head.
All valid points here! 🤕 I can honestly say I’ve never seen anyone fall over their heels doing these. Leaning back id actually describe as more “standing up” vs leaning forwards. That’s not as scary and safer 👍🏼
Lol. I remember first learning these. I know, at first you feel like a cat tip-toeing on hot bricks and are terrified of tangling your own feet up! Actually, a bit more momentum DOES make them feel easier. However, as the man says, don't over-compensate by leaning back. You have to be solid OVER your blades.
I love crossrolls
😁
Me too, they're really fun .
So well explained! Thanks 😊
You’re welcome 😊
Love the progressive approach. It works! Still patiently waiting for backward 3 turn and power-pull /1 foot slalom. 🙂

How about video on those cross roles (or I don't know exact name) when cross is in front but skating backwards. Really struggling with them. Thanks
Backward crossovers, yes coming I plan on doing some learn to skate things soon!

Thanks for helping me improve my cross rolls
Good to know 🥳

genau so
True cross rolls run outside to outside. The knee action is down for the cross and slightly up for the roll round of the free leg 👍🏼
