That little rabbit ears antenna you dismissed picks up all 55 channels I'm supposed to get and I live roughly 30 miles from the stations.
What’s the difference between this 400 and the very similar AT-800?
Anyway yo sort and delete channels you dont want to have to scan through.... or a channel guide??
I just ordered an antenna before reviewing this antenna that resembles my old amplified antenna*(being shipped as we speak hopefully). The old one used to pick up all of the possible channels at the time except one. I see now why I could never get that channel, except via outdoor antenna: because it was considered a weak signal**. The ant I just ordered is very similar, but what I do not like about it as compared to my old one are that: A. the coax is soldered to the antenna which does not allow you to select a different coax cable(possibly a more robust cable) and B. it isn't amplified out of the box. But, it has something my old one did not have: in addition to the similar sat dish middle circle on this unit that my old one did have, it also has another second ring to it that my old one did not have.
And, I do have a plug-in amplifier on hand: whether it will work with the antenna, I do not know. I also may have to buy a go between to extend the cable out longer(to connect another cable to it). IF FOR WHATEVER REASON THIS DOES NOT WORK, I WILL VERY LIKELY CHECK INTO THIS, BECAUSE I HAVE VIEWED 2 SITES AND THIS SEEMS TO BE THE REAL DEAL! ONE OF THE AREAS REVIEWED WAS SURROUNDED BY TREES JUST LIKE ME AND THIS REVIEW SHOWS THAT THIS ANTENNA SEEMS TO MAX WHAT POOR SIGNALS YOU ARE ABLE PICK UP! THESE WOULD ESP. BE A PLUS FOR ME, LIVING IN A TREE INFESTED AREA AND WITH NO STRONG SIGNALS AT ALL(according antop)...BOTH OF THOSE!
